Completely left the chicken off my Harvest Salad that I ordered To Go back to my office for lunch. VERY disappointed when I got back to my desk to realize that the main ingredient was no where to be found. Their fix? Me spend another 35 mins driving there and back for a new salad. They apologized for being so busy. Um, yeah, that’s called a lunch rush and what you’re in business for. Lame. How about just refund my card? This is why I didn’t go through a fast food line. I didn’t think I needed to babysit my order. *First complaint on Unilocal.Congrats.

Horrible service. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Don’t recommend it ! Find a better place with good food and service which are lacking in this location

I’ve been here twice now. The food is amazing. Best pancakes I’ve ever had. I’m rating one star because of the staff. My first visit. I’m not a huge coffee drinker but I think everyone has had a white chocolate mocha from Starbucks. I asked the girl at the register what was close to that and she said«nothing» we have lattes. OK is that close a mocha? No. What would say is close to that? «IDK a latte is nothing like a mocha» OK. I’ll just have your regular latte then… It was definitely different but whatever. The second time I came in, I ordered the pancakes eggs and bacon breakfast plus an extra stack of pancakes. The girl who took my order was very polite. When I sat down, some grumpy pregnant bitch came up and said«you ordered pancakes??» Umm Ya? You wanted one extra pancake? I actually ordered a stack(assuming a stack would just be the same as the plate) she said OK well it comes in one or 2, how many did you want? Oh. I was hoping for the same amount that comes on the plate. She doesn’t clarify what I’m getting, rolls her eyes, sighs and walks away to the kitchen. I see the girl at the counter I ordered with and asked if there was a mistake and if I needed to pay the difference for the pancakes and she says Umm. Looks to her left and the pregnant lady and 2 other girls are all rolling their eyes and she has her thumb over her shoulder in my direction complaining that I wanted an extra order of fucking pancakes… WTF. Did I do something wrong by ordering pancakes? Again I love the food, but I will never come back and make sure when I talk about this place, I mention how rude the staff was BOTH2⁄2 times that I’ve been.

Located across the street from the Carlsbad Premium Outlets this Corner Bakery is much larger than it first appears to be. There doesn’t seem to be much parking in the front but remember, you can drive to the back and there’s parking there as well. Good place for lunch, on the pricey side I’d guess. Paid almost 10 bucks for an average sized sandwich and a bag of chips. It tasted pretty good but I’m going to keep looking for some small mom and pop deli’s

Tried once and approved! Rapid Service, good eggs for breakfast, coffee is good, too. Prices are reasonable and the place is comfortable.

We’re a fan of this place, love the location and deal we get with our«Smiley» Cups but… We always ask for our bagels double toasted which apparently is difficult to do since 9 times out of 10 they are far from toasted at all! We are not complainers and this is a small thing I guess. We take bets now as to if we’ll get them as ordered! Also, the egg sandwiches are tasty but could be hotter and oatmeal also needs to be piping hot. They seem to need a manager on duty more often to keep things running smoothly.

Great customer service. Food was good. I ordered the tortilla soup and chicken pomadori with a lemon bar as a treat. Good place for families and kids.

I rarely give this low a review but I have really seen a decrease in corner bakery since I started going here a few years ago. I came in one day after work around 4 o’clock. I just wanted to snack before work out so I ordered a monster cookie and a hot chocolate. The hot chocolate took about 15 minutes to make. I was in a hurry because I wanted to start my run before dark. I left and quickly took a few sips of my hot chocolate and honestly it tasted like the milk was spoiled. Rather than throw in the trash I went back in and told the clerk about the taste of the drink. She seemed confused about how to fix the situation and honestly did not seem like she cared. I asked her if I could have my money back and she did not answer. I then asked if I could just have another drink and she agreed to make one. There was another group in front of me that was also waiting for a hot beverage. After 20 minutes the other ladies in front of me still did not have their drink. I told her I was just going to leave at this point. She then tried to remedy the situation by asking me what I wanted. However I was so frustrated that I just left. I will probably not be visiting corner bakery anymore because of the poor service and a less then fresh food.

If you’re staying a nearby hotel or are in town for business and looking for a fast, semi-healthy, semi-sitdown breakfast and lunch restaurant, then Corner Bakery can help. On many work trips, the oatmeal and OJ here has gotten me through the mornings. On random, slow-moving mornings we’ll grab a quick, reasonably-priced sitdown breakfast. Nothing extremely memorable about the food, but I can think of a lot worse places to eat! You order at the front register, then grab a table. There isn’t table service, but they do deliver your food and check to see if you need anything. Not a bad place to grab soup and a sandwich too. RECOMMENDED: Anaheim Scrambler Freshly scrambled eggs with applewood smoked bacon, tomatoes, green onions and cheddar cheese, topped with avocado. Steel-Cut Oatmeal Whole grain, steel-cut oatmeal topped with your choice of currants, cranberries, brown sugar, toasted walnuts and almonds. Served with our homemade raisin pecan sweet crisp.(Gluten-Free/GF) Chicken Pesto Sandwich & Roasted Tomato Basil Soup Don’t expect fresh, local ingredients here. This is a corporate restaurant with a lot of packaged food. DO expect food that is decent, and a good option if you’re from out of town or shopping at the Carlsbad outlet mall.

Oh but the macaroni, so good! We received the best and most helpful service from a bus boy of sorts yesterday, what a pleasure. Portions are huge. My daughter ordered a half sandwich and half salad, it was certainly a whole serving of each, by most standards. I ordered the adult size macaroni, I was able to share it with my husband and still came home with some to enjoy later. My husband had the power breakfast pita, he said it was quite tasty. It comes with a cheesy salsa on the side, that was tasty, yes of course I had to taste-test it. There is plenty of seating but I have seen it packed. I would say go a little before or after typical meal hours if you want to beat the crowds.

To the Management: This review is based solely on SERVICE. I work nearby and will often order online and pickup. On numerous occasions I didn’t have my entire order handed to me. The last two occasions the missing item was a cookie… not a big deal BUT the attitude today was ridiculous. When my order is incorrect or incomplete I expect an apology but not today… and when I thanked her for my cookie, nothing… No polite«you’re welcome» but instead silence. It’s annoying to always have to double check my order, but if I’m going to catch sass for asking for my complete order? Nah, girl bye.

Corner Bakery Café offers Panera-esque selection, just with bolder flavors. Prices hover around the $ 9 range, however, portion size tends to lean on the smaller side. I usually get their Spicy Pork Sandwich or Uptown Turkey. If you are looking for a juicy sandwich, then the Spicy Pork is the one for you– bbq sauce and jalepenos! I’d skip their pasta entrée’s noodles are always overcooked and the sauce isn’t all that great. Very similar to Noodles & Co pasta. If I want a sandwich and don’t feel like Panera, this is where I end up.

Nice selection of food. The pesto pasta was really good. They have several sizes you can order. They have bread and bakery goods!

I frequent Corner Bakery quite often in LA and Orange County for breakfast meetings. This one in Carlsbad is located in a rather nice strip mall but is really small and appears quite dated. Regardless, breakfast offerings are abundant ranging from breakfast sandwiches, scrambled egg/omelet dishes and a large variety of baked goods, breads and bagels. I came to this Carlsbad location for a lunch meeting and ordered the Asian Wonton salad which wasn’t the best quality but I liked it. It included roasted chicken, edamame, tomatoes, cucumbers, jalapenos and wonton chips. The café size is good enough and comes in a healthy portion for only $ 7.99. Overall a good place for a quick bite or an okay meal when you don’t necessarily need anything stellar.

I’m not sure why this place got such horrible reviews. This is one of my favorite lunch spots! I can’t vouch for breakfast because I’ve never had it, but I’ve always had s great experience with lunch. I was meeting a friend today so I got there a little early. Semi-crowded but not too bad considering it was lunch hour for most people. I was greeted right away by a young man who was serving lunch. He noticed I brought my baby and immediately helped me grab a high chair and clean off a table for me. He was so nice! Whoever you are working on 9÷17÷15 @ 12:45pm– you deserve some credit! I ordered the Asian wonton salad– so yummy– so fresh– so light with the dressing. I love that. The bread was warm and fresh too. My friend ordered us an appetizer of hummus with veggies and pita and that was super delicious. Only drawback was they put two cherry tomatoes and three slices of cucumber on the plate. Not very much for the price. All in all the service was quick, friendly and restaurant was clean. There are tables outside too. The parking lot can get crowded during the lunch hour so beware of that. Right across from the outlet mall too so have some lunch and go shopping!

you know you’re in for a sub-par brunch(even two stars is probably generous) when the sever starts apologizing for the kitchen BEFORE he even brings your order and never stops(nor should he have) for the entire meal. general question: why do restaurants say something’s homemade? that word crops up a lot on the CORNERBAKERYCAFE’s menu. though somethings might me made«in-house,» pretty sure the health department would close your doors if you made food at home and served it in a restaurant — just saying … my SPINACHSWEETCRISPSALAD(baby spinach, strawberries, oranges, red grapes, dried cranberries, green onions and goat cheese with raisin pecan sweet crisps and HOMEMADE pomegranate vinaigrette) was problematic. on the plus side, without asking the salad did not arrive drenched with dressing(one of my pet peeves). on the down side(see photo) lots and lots of long, tough stems(another of my pet peeves). nice job by the prep folks. even more troublesome, sans the grilled chicken breast i ordered(and paid for). after multiple apologies, the breast arrived after we had paid for our meal and were leaving. the chicken came pre-cooked straight from the fridge so it wasn’t like we had to wait ’cause it was made to order. eleven-year old daughter JULIANA’s HOMEMADEMAC&CHEESE(there’s that word again — pipette pasta tossed with a blend of three cheeses) actually was A-OKAY. if we’d stopped there and maybe even included wife JODI’s BREAKFASTPANINI(grilled ham, cheese and egg panini), CORNERBAKERYCAFE might have earned a third star. WYATT, my nine-year old son, decided on the UPTOWNTURKEY on HARVESTTOAST(smoked turkey breast, applewood smoked bacon, avocado, lettuce, tomatoes and mayo on whole grain harvest toast) and that was an unmitigated disaster. he ordered it hold everything but the meat, cheese and avocado(said so on the receipt) and the morons in the kitchen left off the bacon and avocado and slathered on the mayo. that’s the good news. the bad news is the sandwich arrived after everybody else had finished and we were paying the bill. all things considered, a pretty sucky experience.

Just tried the Parmesan chicken. It was quite delicious. The chicken is tender and had a lot for flavor. I typically get the chicken carbonara, but I think the Parmesan chicken is my new favorite. It also comes with a small side salad. It is a good light lunch. To top it off I had some chili to go with it. I am definitely coming back for some more:-)

I ordered the pancakes, eggs, and bacon. It was very tasty! The bacon was some of best I’ve tasted. When you enter the restaurant, you order and pay. Then you find a seat. The atmosphere is very pleasant. The employees are friendly. The coffee and treats… Super yummy. Definitely recommend this place!

I came into here on a Saturday afternoon after visiting the Flower Fields with my girlfriend. It was the first time eating at a Corner Bakery. The cashier at the time offered bagels, croissants, and rolls, stating that they had some that were buy one, get one free. I did not care for them. As I perused the menu, I decided on their Turkey Pretzel«Signature» sandwich, but they stated they were out of pretzels. That was disappointing. The cashier then said that I could substitute the pretzel with one of the rolls, which he picked up with his bare hands. I politely declined because I liked pretzels. He then stated something along the lines of how it was a good idea, because then he tapped the wall with the roll, which appeared to be as hard as a brick. This was all rather off-putting. I decided on their«Chicken Pomodori» at the cashier’s recommendation and my girlfriend decided on their Harvest Salad. The cashier asked what kind of meat she wanted on her salad, and she chose turkey. I was asked if I wanted anything else, but I only asked for water cups, making the Chicken Pomodori and Harvest Salad the only purchases. When the total came up, it was a little higher than I thought, by around $ 4. I paid with card. The cashier then mumbled something about accidentally charging extra for turkey, which I do understand that sometimes meat is extra on salads, but I attributed this to my unfamiliarity with Corner Bakery. He then promptly grabbed two cups for drinks and gave them to me, along with the water cups, thinking that the cups would make up for the extra $ 4 that I had spent anyway. There was no offer for a refund at all. This was rather unprofessional. The Chicken Pomodori was tasty, but I would not pay that much for a small sandwich and a bag of chips again here. The salad was just okay. Also, it did not appear as though this establishment received many customers, so food may be getting old and stale, as evident by the hard-as-brick bread that they offered. There were also two hot tea options, with one being empty and the other being cold. This was a sign of negligence. Overall, I understand my experience may be isolated, but the signs point to deeper problems with this location. I would suggest finding a different location to spend your money at.

Truly amazing! It’s perfect for lunch KAS you don’t have to wait in a long line for amazing food! First time I tried it I was astounded at how fantastic their food was! And for the price?! A steal! Definitely going back
