In-N-Out Burger

I have to give props to the employee, Laurel, who immediately recognized that we had several young children and got us a table to contain them before we ordered. All of the employees appeared to have fun and made the in-​n-​out experience super pleasurable even though it was crowded and busy.

Can I give it 6 stars? Please oh please. If this place was closer to me I would gain a lot of extra pounds. Thank goodness for that but every time I go to San Diego stopping here is like a religious experience Praise the 3×3 protein style. If you don’t know what that is search for secret menu online. You can order things in ways not shown at the counter to suit your cravings. If you just can’t wait to know that’s 3 patties with 3 slices of cheese wrapped in lettuce and you have the choice to add onions as long as you don’t have a job interview afterwards.
Their fries are also awesome but I restrain myself to every other time I visit.

Stand up fast-​food nation and salute the king. They seem to get it right on every level. From the friendly staff to the simple yet amazing food. Do all places really need a menu of 47 crappy items. At In and Out you get an amazingly simple menu of 3 visible works of fast food art. There is no freezer! That means no frozen crap. They have a secret menu that only the true lovers can know about. Oh, I mentioned the staff but I will mention them again. Friendly and hot, maybe that’s just the white Gee’s they all wear with the 50’s diner paper hats. But I digress. They got the 5^th star for representing the religious right. At the bottom of every cup is a bible verse. So on those not so human days and you need a prayer idea, bam there you go. Thank you In and Out. After all that’s what hamburgers are all about!

This place does so many things fantastic!!! I just wish they offered an upgraded cheese than American. I’m over it.

Wasn’t sure what the hype was about honesty. I’ve had better burgers, with less potent onions, back home. I will say unless you know about them, the «crunch» on the bun does catch you by surprise. The drive thru order is quite different — they don’t explain it well, and you’re greeted with a gal with a hand-​held computer who apparently orders for you, so… I guess they’re going for a personal touch?

Been visiting since the mid 90s and have enjoyed each visit.
Only have been back to Cali for 9 months after being away for the last three years overseas. This is my second visit since arriving back because I have to resist my temptation to visit every day.
My guilty pleasure is a double double animal style no pickles.
In n Out is not a hype it’s a Cali life style.

Have I ever had a bad experience here? Never!!! Besides the great food I really do like the cleanliness here and how dedicated the workers are at making the restaurant look and feel so clean. Even the bathroom was clean (which I really liked). I don’t have one of these where I’m from so you better believe I will eat here as much as I can for the rest of the time I’m here. Yummy!!!

I’m a vegetarian so I come here for their perfectly thick and delicious shakes and there animal style fries! Soooooo good :)

If you are reading this, and wondering if you should go try in-​n-​out. PUT AWAY YOUR PHONE, AND JUST GO.
No matter what anyone writes or says, there’s no substitute for going and trying it yourself.
Simple. Just burgers, fries, and drinks.
Fresh. Meat is never frozen. Everything is fresh.
Affordable. Competitors of equal quality charge much more.
Most importantly. Delicious.

Nice clean. Plenty of seat, parking lot is pretty empty. Would either use the drive thru or go into the place to eat. Remains me of a quote: a clean well lite place.
Remains me of the good old college days again. Food is cheap fresh made fast food. Pretty good, would recommend.

In N Out is consistently awesome up and down the coast. My daughter was at Legoland and we needed a clean and cool spot close for dinner. Pact like any other the seating can be tricky, I have yet to find any In N Out that does not fill up all day every day.
3X3 combo extra lettuce and tomato and I was set. I like the extra lettuce and tomato and add a sauce pack and its a side salad. Muhaha
I dont like to take these fries to go, they are sooo much better when you eat them there.
Its amazing to watch the folks work, they have a kick hind system and all look very happy to be there. They keep it spot less, and just are always busting hind.

In n out is the best burger and fries fast food restaurant in the world. Period. They’ve been doing the same thing for decades because it needs no tweaking, adjusting, changing, etc., unlike some other burger joint that started around the same time also here in Southern California, mc-​something or other… Anyway, this particular in n out location is my go-​to based on its proximity to my house, but you get the exact same experience at every location. Burgers, fries, shakes. That’s all there is, and that’s all there needs to be. Just be forewarned, legoland is right nearby to this location so there’s a big crowd for dinner. But since this place is so awesome, all locations are always busy all the time, but it is worth the wait. Double double with grilled onions, animal style fries, and a vanilla shake. You’re welcome.

In-​N-​Out need not be held in the highest regard only by Californians.
It is undoubtedly the freshest fast food burger joint on the West Coast, with the most immaculate of kitchens and the friendliest employees.
Easy ordering with limited options because when you specialize in something, you don’t need a plethora of choices.
Unless you’re a local, you might not know you can order «top secret» things off the menu… though it seems word’s gotten around nationwide (4×4… animal style… animal style fries? I’ll stick to the originals, personally).
For me, their cheeseburger with grilled onions and a chocolate shake hits the spot!
One thing’s for sure though… this place stays true to it’s name. Not a place to hang out at because it can be pure madness with the rush of hungry folks coming in. Just go in, eat fast, and go out. Done.

Shh… I need a moment of silence as I have reached the holy grail in the burger eating world. I am still picturing perfection, still remembering every bite of my «4×4 Animal Style».
I have been on this quest to find that perfect burger, and guess what burger fans. In-​N-​Out you guys are in my top 3. I guess I had to fly 3000 miles to reach and find my euphoria,
I am gonna be blunt here folks, so get ready and I’ll explain why the 4 star rating in a bit.
First and foremost this burger is simply perfection held together in a bun. I was standing in line checking out the menu which by the way everything looks delicious. I had order the 4×4 cheeseburger, but I had it «Animal Style», but I nixed the tomatoes and lettuce scene. I don’t need that extra drama between me and my perfection. Sorry it’s the carnivore in me just looking out for my best interest.
What is a 4×4 you ask? A 4×4 is 4 beef patties, their special spread,(top secret) 4 slices of american cheese, stacked high on a freshly baked bun. Now you know what that is, lets get into «Animal Style» shall we. Once you have decided on the kind of burger you want to peruse, your next choice should be Animal Style. Picture this kiddies, a mustard cooked beef patty. That right there is unreal I tell you plus it comes with pickles, their extra spread, and grilled onions. That right there is love, love in a bun waiting for you to sink your teeth into.
If you can’t speak while biting into it and just letting that burger take over, with moans of joy, you know you’ve got something special here. Mix that goodness with a black and white milkshake, and all your worries are gone. I love a joint that serves milkshakes, its that perfect combination, that ultimate compliment. It’s like that perfect storm of deliciousness where your taste buds will go into full tilt mode.
The reason for the 4 stars is their fries that was served. I would have rather have eaten packing peanuts than what was served. It was a day old flavorless potato. Now it did not take anything away from my burger, but you had all this going, and to come up short with this. I know you are not known for your fries, but lets make sure they are at least an hour old, not a day old.
The service was on point, these guys showed a lot of patience, not only with me that kept on jumping back and forth, but with everyone. They do have other ways also you can enjoy their fine burger. If you are avoiding bread, you can go «Protein» where it is served in a lettuce wrap instead. In all these guys are simply amazing, top 3 for sure. I can’t wait to hit these guys up again.

It’s IN-​N-​OUT why wouldn’t you love it?! AT THIS LOCATION– They are ALWAYS busy! but I never have to wait too long. I’ve gotten almost everything on the menu (which isn’t a lot) but they all taste orgasmic. Price is great too! Nothing over 7 bucks.
Customer service is always rad here. They are fast, friendly, and EFFICIENT!
They have a lot more space than the other in-​n-​outs I’ve been too which is nice.
Also, They close late :)

This In-​N-​Out might be one of the busiest I’ve seen. I’ve never been here when the drive thru line isn’t insane and the line inside is to the door. Yet the employees crank through the people and it is pretty amazing to see.
On at least two separate occasions, I’ve had employees come up to me while I’m sitting waiting for my food, ask my number and tell me they will bring my food to me (perks of having lots of little kids with you, I guess). But that is above and beyond for a fast food place.
Always clean, always consistently good.

Yes, this is one of my favorite burger joints. They consistently fork out quality burgers and shakes at affordable prices. Indoor and outdoor seating is available. Don’t be surprised if you come across long lines, this stuff is worth the wait. The cashier was quick and friendly. Our food was ready in no time.

Amazing burgers at this place. The prices are perfect too. They have a very basic menu and don’t make it too complicated. If you have been here before, you know exactly what to expect. Try the Animal Style burgers and fries for added flavor. I am not a big fan of their fries. It’s probably bc they are made each hour from actual potatoes. I think they lack flavor, but it’s nothing Animal Style can’t fix. I usually just get a double cheeseburger and a Neapolitan Shake which is perfectly filling and will satisfy your cravings.
Service is pretty quick despite the fact that they are busy all of the time. The line for the drive thru moves fast as well even though it is usually wrapped around the lot. The store is clean. This is the perfect spot to go to after the beach.
