Pick-up Stix

Don’t ever order from this location!!! We called in an order for pickup of 6 items… only got 5. The girl at the counter didn’t even bother double checking our order, just gave us the bag. Came back to the office, and was missing one. We called and both the girl who answered the phone, Lupe, and Michelle, weren’t really that apologetic. All they said was, «well, the other item was on the side and we didn’t see it so.». I asked that I be refunded the money, Michelle said she refunded it but will take a couple of days for it to be credited back to my account. There was no sincerity whatsoever in her apology. She sounded like she was too busy to be talking to someone who just ordered their lunch special.

I’m generally not a big fan of chinese food (i.e. what americans think chinese people eat). That being said, this place provides a modern interpretation and is fast and relatively healthier than other chinese places.
I do like that the calories are listed on each entrée, so you know upfront which sauces and combinations to avoid and still get your fix. I prefer Thai food to chinese and they do happen to offer a couple Thai-​style dishes which are nice (like coconut curry chicken). Also, you can order brown rice instead of white rice and you can have extra vegetables added to your dish.
On this occasion, I picked up a family pack which included two appetizers, two large entrees, fried rice/​chop suey and plain rice. This was a generous size and easily served 4 adults and a couple kids.
While Pick-​up Stix isn’t on my regular go-​to list, it’s certainly a decent back up ;-)

Today was my first time at this location and it was a better experience than the other locations in the north coastal area. Our cashier had a good attitude, was friendly and helpful. She brought our food to the table with a smile. I felt welcomed. Their food is pretty good thats why I try different locations looking for the attitude that deserves return visits.

Simple, easy and decent. Always try to use a coupon when eating here. Try to find a buy one get one free entrée. It’s cheap Chinese but decent if you want a quick fix. The place could be a little cleaner.

I am currently eating the food as I am typing this and I am thoroughly unimpressed. The honey chicken tastes like a KFC meal and I think the chow mein is spaghetti noodles with teryaki (no veggies in it or anything). The meal was over 15 $ and I could get 10 x better food (for two people) at Panda express without the 15 minute wait for not crispy «crispy chicken».
The only good part about my meal was the cream cheese wontons and the staff who were courteous and welcoming.
All in all, there are so many more food options around this location that I would walk right by if I was over that way again. The two stars is because the restaurant was clean and staff was friendly.

More sauce than chicken to be honest, so basically exactly what’d you’d expect. Essentially a slightly worse Panda Express

I haven’t been to a pick up stix in a long time and I was very satisfied with my visit to this location in Bressi Ranch. Very clean, very friendly, very yummy. The food is pretty healthy with a lot of options under 400 calories. I will definitely be making a trip back here.

Located in Bressie Ranch. I have been here a few times. Fast Americanized Chinese food. Nothing to write home about. I usually order to go.
Today I order 6 cream cheese wontons, a lil over $ 5.
I like Pick up stix’s house chicken with veggies!

This restaurants hours are different than posted here. The actual hrs are 11am –830pm mon thru friday and 11am till 8pm sat/​sun. Wish they were open much later.

I came in on Wednesday and was surprised to find out their wontons were only like 50 cents! I ordered a spicy honey tofu and loved the flavor. I asked for no zucchini so they loaded mento with water chestnuts, which I didn’t like. I would have rather had less of a portion then extra cheap veggies to fill up the box. Next time I’ll let them know. The staff was great, and the service was quick. I’ll be back!

It is what it is. Fast. Food. Chinese. Don’t come here with expectations of dining at some Chinese restaurant in Chinatown with a duck in the window. Have some realistic expectations and you won’t be disappointed. It’s fresh, it’s fast, it’s fast fresh Chinese food. Rather eat here than some buffet with the food sitting out all day. Everything is made to order and the prices are reasonable. Picked up lunch here today for 5 of us and it was only $ 45.00. Inside and outside dining at the center in Bressi Ranch. I get the Salmon salad. It’s low in calories and good for me. Enjoy.

Worst Chinese food I ever had. :(
Maybe it’s just my family, but none of us enjoyed any of the dishes we ordered. The service was fine, they were friendly enough. Unfortunately, we won’t be returning. Panda Express is much better.

Just ordered the crispy chicken with fried rice and cream cheese won tons. First off, they didn’t even give me sweet and sour sauce secondly the rice was so mushy it was gross. Same with the chicken. Not impressed. I get a better Chinese meal from Panda Express and that’s saying something.

I have always loved Pick-​up Stix better than any Panda Express. It’s fast & convenient when your on the go. They also make everything fresh. Love that there is no heat lamps here. My ultimate go to are the Crispy Honey Chicken, & the Garlic Shrimp. Love the cream cheese wontons too. Their noodles are always perfectly cooked & never over done. If your looking for a salad my favorite is the Thai Peanut salad. The textures of crunchy veggies & the creamy dressing is a great combination. Clean location & located right next to Pure Burger grass fed burgers.

Awesome! Fast, extremely competent and friendly service. I had pad Thai that was so fresh and tasty. And, Celiacs, their gluten free selections are labeled! No guessing if there is flour in the process. I will definitely be back.

The staff here rocks. They are super friendly and everyone is hustling to get food to customers. Also, I like that Pick Up Stix as a whole offers online ordering. The salads here don’t wow me but I do like the wonton soup, lettuce wraps and some lighter dishes. If you are picking up a to go order there is usually parking out front along the curb.

This review is based solely on the food, and not on their customer service or facility. Let me start by saying their customer service is exceptional and I felt welcomed and attended to during my visit.
I ordered the lunch combo of garlic shrimp with veggies and fried rice. When they gave me my plate, I noticed two things immediately: their portions were small and the plate was doused with sauce. It felt more like I ate a snack than eating lunch. The shrimp was bland, save for the sauce that drenched it. I was hoping they would rely on the freshness and quality of their seafood/​veggies but instead they opted to cover it up with sauce. I probably won’t come back any time soon.
They do, however, have tasty cream cheese wontons!

I was craving Chinese food for dinner so I Unilocaled it and found this place on my way home from work. I was pleasantly surprised! the service was GREAT! The food was just as good. I will be stopping by on my next craving to try something new.
We had the sweet and sour chicken, chicken dumplings, chicken egg rolls and Pad Thai… nom nom nom
One downer: we didn’t get fortunes in our fortune cookies :/

Ive only been here when I can find a deal they are having. I have not been disappointed about what I am getting. There are not that many choices for asain food in north county. Pick up stix does the job for us.
The staff has been friendly everytime i have been here. Honestly why would you go to a fast food place and expect to be treated like a king/​queen. As long as they do their job and my food is good I am happy.

This Pick Up Stix is located in Bressi Ranch and while I live really close to this shopping center, I haven’t stopped to dine here until recently.
I didn’t want to slave in the kitchen after a long day of work so stopped in here to pick up something for dinner. The cashier was very friendly and patient with me as I looked through the menu. I’m not familiar with the menu so it took awhile. I ended up selecting the broccoli beef with brown rice to go and thought it was decent. I thought the sauce was pretty thick and a bit too salty for me but it was tasty and did the trick.
I probably wouldn’t come here if craving authentic chinese food but like I said, it was decent for fast food. I’ll likely be back to try some of the salads though. After I placed my order, several salads came out of the kitchen that looked really good.
Overall, a great addition to this Bressi Ranch shopping center.
