Incredible customer service and knowledge about wine. The wines were also delicious! We must have tasted 12 wines before we decided it was time to select one we loved. The wine maker, Chad, it a great example of an experienced wine maker. He must have spent over an hour with us talking about the wines. We felt like home at this tasting room.

Nice wines, great tasting experience by our helper Erin. Her vocabulary rolled off wine notes that captured the essence of each wine we tasted. Very pleasant experience and would highly recommend. Their wines come from ribbon ridge which is about 1 mile wide by 3 miles long. Very nice wines all around, each with an individual character. All had great noses, nice mouth feel, complex notes and great variety of finishes. They serve the wine in smaller glasses which puts the wine to be tasted in proportion to the surface area of the glass. This is a great idea as it really helped show off the notes of the wine much more clearly than in the larger pinot glasses we are used to using. Strongly recommend.

Wine tasting is swell, but the experience is pretty much the same wherever you go. Saunter up to a bar counter and stand around while you work your way through some hopefully delicious wine. Omero distinguishes itself by offering a completely unique experience that really puts them above the rest. The wine is pretty great as well. Only once before at Mumm in Napa have I had a sit down tasting, and I found the way they do it here to be even better. Towards the back of the beautifully decorated tasting room is a communal table where you sit for the flight. You are given a placemat with room for five glasses which are poured at once in front of you. The gal running the room, Lacy, got us started and explained the wine as we leisurely worked our way through the gaggle of generously poured tastes. Halfway through our flight Jim came in(who also works there) and sat down with us for a while to talk about the business and explain what Omero is all about. Another man came in while we were there who happened to be huge in the wine distribution business in Oregon, and we were all able to have a nice conversation while we tasted through some pretty fantastic wine. The Coats & Whitney especially was a real standout. They’re a fairly new winery and still have some room for growth, but what they have going so far is solid and the tasting is certainly a memorable experience. I’m a fan, and will definitely stop in the next time I’m in Carlton.

Dropped in at Omero Cellars on a very rainy Saturday afternoon. We live nearby so We’ve been to Omero before, met the owners and bought their wine which is excellent. What I loved about this visit was the improved tasting experience from our previous visits. There were 4 of us and we were invited to do a sit down tasting. Not only was this a fun and relaxing experience but it’s also a great way to taste, having the opportunity to have all the wines poured at once and be able to taste back and forth between them. The fact that our tasting host was serving his own homemade bread was icing on the cake and a really great accompaniment for the wine. The Coats & Whitney Vineyard Pinot Noir was our favorite this time. The Chardonnay was also a great treat, this, was our first time trying it, it’s an excellent well structured Chard. Thank you Omero!

Many of the tasting rooms were closed the day we visited Carlton, but not this one! I am very glad that they were opened for us. I love the tasting style that they had set up there, we all sat at a table and he poured each wine for us, explaining them all as he poured, and then left us to enjoy and discuss the wines amongst ourselves. It was really nice to feel more at leisure than in other tasting rooms, where they pour you one right after another. There wines were all really good. I really liked the Rose and I am more of a red wine person. I will be telling my friends about this place!

I really enjoy Omero’s wine. I was already familiar with it before my husband and I dropped into the tasting room. First of all I loved the style and décor of the tasting room, from the art, to the paint color to the furniture. I appreciate appropriate and tastefully decorated tasting rooms. I love all of their wine. The Pinot Gris and Rose are some of the best I have had. My husband is a fan of their Pinots. They are a small producer and that shows in a good way. Their location is really perfect because it is in the heart of Carlton and within walking distance to many other local businesses.

My Party raved about this wine. I had out the 2010 Odyssey, 2010 lliad &2011 Pinot Gris. These were all equally great & the bottling is amazing. Two thumbs up from AZ
