Amazing wine at great prices! We spent Memorial Day weekend visiting wineries around Dundee and Carlton and this was the best value around. The tasting fee is $ 5 and applicable to the purchase of one bottle, which is decent and fair(not like the wineries that charge you $ 20-$ 25 to taste their extremely disappointing wines –you know who you are…). In fact I’d say the higher the tasting fee the worse the wine was, so now we know. But back to Siltstone, this family operation was a great find. Two solid whites and delicious Pinot Noirs, with lovely service from the wine maker and his family. Thank you for making us feel right at home :)

In the small community of Carlton this tasting room is located in the old Carlton post office. It’s nicely designed and refurnished. A fun little bar to hang out and taste wine. We completed a tastes of approximately five wines and I enjoyed both the red and whites. We ended up buying a bottle of each which caused out tasting fee to be waived. They are having an event Thanksgiving Weekend which sounded like fun but alas, I’ll be unavailable for that one. I will be anxious to try this place again. Hours are only on weekends Friday — Sunday Noon to 5pm. The Myers family has done it up right. Read their story on their webpage. A family run and own business. I’ll be back again.
