Definitions for Her

I received the best of service at this privately owned shop on Main Street in Carmel.
Inside, the woman’s sports clothing leans mostly to tennis offerings. But I happened to come by when they were liquidating for new fall events, and a bunch of shoes – running, walking, training – were on sale for HALF off. I got some Adidas Supernovas that had originally been $ 90 for $ 35. Bottom line: Go now! The resident giant Golden Retriever helps warm the experience too.
Oh yeah – there’s also a nice, clean bathroom. Big plus for this women’s store.

Definitions for her has a unique line of clothing. I enjoyed finding
well known brands with a unique twist at this store. If you are looking
for something different, this is the place to go. Some of the sale

I only give Definitions for Her two stars because we didn’t get much in the way of service during our visit.
Granted, we stopped in late in the afternoon — apparently, rather close to closing time because the salesperson began retrieving clothing «sale» racks from the sidewalk outside the store while we were looking around — but, um, those sales racks were what brought us in and we were the only customers in the store at the time. Surely, we could have at least been asked what we were looking for, told about other sale items, etc.
In fact, I WAS looking for some new yoga duds, especially pants or capris and tried my best to make this obvious by pointing out several items to my hubby and kind of loudly talking about why I thought they might be good — or not — for my practice. I was hoping to be «waited on» instead of just feeling as if the young woman was waiting for us to leave. What a disappointment, since the store did seem to have a few things I would buy. I spied some very cool shoes on sale on a table near the back of the store — and who doesn’t need more shoes? — but in the end, I simply won’t buy from a place where I don’t get more than the standard entry and exit greeting from the sales staff… sorry :-(
Selection in the store appeared to be pretty decent and prices appropriate for the various apparel lines I recognized… just needed better service.
