The food was excellent and the service was great. However, the wait was ridiculously long. There were only two other parties in the restaurant and while they were large(8 and 6), it should never have taken more than 30 minutes to get a salad and a peanut butter and jelly sandwich with fruit.

I visited this place as one of many potential spots to hold a bridal shower. I sat down with their«event coordinator» who basically told me she was a student studying management or something. I explicitly told her I would just like a rough estimate of how much it would cost to host a bridal shower here, so she walked me through the process and wrote down an example of an itemized list of costs. She was very friendly and I told her I would follow up with her if I decided to book with her. I ate lunch there(food was very bland) and went on my merry way. Two months later, the week of the bridal shower which was at a different venue, I get a random text from an unknown number asking me to confirm my reservation for the bridal shower. Confused, I replied back saying this event needs to cancelled right away. Few minutes later I receive a voicemail from a livid British accented lady saying that they had already made all the arrangements and food for the bridal shower and that it was totally unacceptable for me to cancel last minute. Oh and that I needed to pay a fee of $ 150 to cover the costs. I literally laughed out loud. for several reasons. First of all, i never made any reservation. I had only sat down with the so called event coordinator for a consultation and walked away with only an estimate. No bookings were made that day. Secondly, they never took down any of my personal information beyond my name and number. This is why DEPOSITS were invented people. Which I never put down nor was I ever asked to make a deposit because again, I never made a reservation. Lastly, if they thought I had made a reservation, why would they wait two months without a word to confirm this any sooner prior to making all that food?! That’s just poor business management in my opinion. And I didn’t even go to school for management. Needless to say, I think they learned their lesson on the process of booking events. Shame on them for not being more on top of it.

Very happy with our first visit to Tina’s! Very cute venue, friendly staff, and very delicious tea. I highly recommend the Jasmine green tea, it’s not on the menu. We made a reservation and they were ready for us with a cute tag on our table with my name. I used the Unilocal reservation which was very easy and even received a text an hour before as a reminder. A little over priced for their Queens tea, but we used a Unilocal deal. Can’t wait to come back with my mom!

We had a lovely time for my daughter’s 4th Birthday. We were a group of 8 and came in at 2:30pm. Because we had recently eaten we did not try High Tea, but our selection of smaller plates was lovely. We ordered the prince/ss tea for the kids and they all loved it. Even my seven year old son enjoyed learning the proper way to pour and how long to brew. The staff was patient but firm with the children regarding table manners. I can’t wait to return with my nieces when they come to town.

Charming! That is my one word description. This applies to the décor, the staff who greet and serve you, and the owner who stops to share the history of her recipes. If you have a chance to learn about the history of the recipes it is worth seeking out the stories. We ordered the high tea. The sandwiches were delicious and was very happy with the selection for high tea. Green tomato chutney & Cheddar, and the Ham and English mustard were my favorites. Clotted cream is a must but the homemade preserves are worth mentioning. It set off the scones beautifully. High tea was served and we selected two different teas. Both were excellent and service was top notch(description, pour, etc). The tea timers were our favorite new tea item that we found. The décor is beautiful and the china adds an elegant presentation. The only disappointment was the paper napkin. From a logical perspective I understand but it draws away from the formal experience. However, everything else was so delightful I couldn’t bring myself to lower a star. We have family in England and this reminded me of a true English tea. I can’t wait to bring the in-laws for beans on toast. I travel with a group of friends locally 1 – 2 times a year(Xmas or Bdays) for high tea. I was delighted this opened close to home and lived up to the wonderful reviews. I’m excited to try one of the themed events hosted at the tea room.

Looooove. Thank you, Tina, for opening up a second location so very close to where I live so I could enjoy it! I came here with my mama for a Saturday brunch. Everything is decorated very English and feminine, with beautiful flowers on each table, doilies on plates, adorable tea cups, and union jack flags and everything British all over the walls! If you come for a weekend brunch, it’s busy so I recommend having a reservation, but they did manage to fit us in as a walk-in. I had beans on toast, a simple meal but one of my favorite English meals, and my mom had an omelet which she loved. We also shared a delicious scone with clotted cream and homemade vanilla chai jam, so yum. And we really loved the tea — we chose to share a pot of fruity winter blend. My favorite part was the timers at each table telling you exactly how long each type of tea should brew before it pours! I am seriously considering getting one from their little in-house shop, which also sells teas, jams, and other adorable English things. The service was impeccable — our server was constantly checking with us, and everything came out pretty quickly. They also serve afternoon teas with little finger sandwiches and the like, which would be fun to do some time with a group. They have themed dinners with every British fandom I am a part of — I’m planning on going to a Downton Abbey one in January with a friend! Sigh… I could almost pretend I was back in London again, this place is so authentic!

This is the real deal. Truly authentic English Tea Room. Friendly and attentive service, great selection of teas. Can’t wait to go back sometime for one of their special events. They have a children’s menu available as well. I wouldn’t recommend for super young children though if you want to enjoy the experience ;). We left our 18 month old home and glad we did.

We love coming here! Tina and her staff offer great service and are very knowledgeable. It is always a treat to bring my daughter here! She loves the Little Princess high tea(sandwiches and pastries arranged in a beautiful tiered display and choice of tea or fruit cordial). The ambiance is quaint and relaxing. A perfect place to go when you want something different from the hustle and bustle of the daily grind.

As I was making way towards home one evening I noticed a sign that had the words«tea-room» illuminating the drive. Instantly As I arrived home and did some basic research to find that we are honored enough to have a traditional English tea room. As I walked in one afternoon the, who I did not know at the time, owner greeted me and sat me. I enjoyed the atmosphere of proper tea experience, the right smells, colors, tastes, and timing of it all was stellar. There is a solid tea variety without over-forcing too many flavored. One page and two columns mark either caffeinated tea or non-caffeinated. The tea cups are all completely genuine collectible tea cups. Royal Albert, Doulton, and a variety of others can be seen marking the aesthetics of the tables. The quality: the tea is phenomenal, fresh, flavorful, clean and absolutely British. Do not miss the sweets. Do not miss the sweets. Tina’s English baking skills are a gem in a city filled with bakers. Everything I have tried so far(not going to say because you should go in and explore yourself) has been indescribably blissful. I have come here a few times and will continue going again and again and again. The service is stellar as well, that goes without saying.

Had lunch and tea here this weekend. Lovely little spot in Carmel. It has great atmosphere and our hostess, Claire, was excellent. She explained all the teas, sandwiches and desserts to us in great detail. The ginger and echinacea tea was excellent. The english breakfast tea was delicious as well. We tried the special, cornish pasties — the plowman’s platter and sandwich selection– which were all delicious. We tried the victoria sponge and medeira cake which were both amazing. Great spot for lunch, tea or dessert, we will definitely be returning! Love that they do theme events as well– Harry Potter and Dr. Who coming up!
