Denny’s

So here’s the thing. It’s a Denny’s. We all know the food quality isn’t exactly Mulvaney’s and it’s basically a couple of steps up from fast food. However I think you’re missing the fact that this place is open ²⁴⁄₇. ²⁴⁄₇ people. Like most of you I have spent many late nights here when I just didn’t want to end my evening before 4am. If you come here on a Friday or Saturday night the drama can’t be overlooked. How many places offer free entertainment? I’ve seen couples break up, make up, and hook up here and there are frequently really drunk groups of lunatics on the weekends.
I do have to say the food is exactly what you’d expect, and it’s very consistent. I’ve had pretty above and beyond service here from servers who seem to have endless patience. They have allowed rowdy, noisy demanding groups of me and friends to hang out for hours and have never hassled us about it.
I’ll definitely be back!

If I could leave negative stars I would. Yes, it’s Denny’s and their food is as basic as it gets but the SERVICE SUCKS. Ate in last week, almost got up to refill my own drink. Today we ordered to go and they said 10 minutes. It’s been almost 50min and we are sitting inside still waiting as I write this. LIES. I could have gotten delivery faster.
EDIT: now they say the order never went through??? Why are we sitting here??? For fun? Then asked how I wanted the eggs. I didn’t order eggs!

We came in a group of 40 or so people and got seated rather quickly, however this is when the quick service ended. We came in at about 11:15 and our order was not even taken until 1:00, this is with us continually asking for service. Don’t ever come to this Denny’s.

Great service, but the food Sucks. I’ve been to a lot of Denny’s in the Sacramento area, this on was the worst by far. I could tell that the steak was cook while it was frozen, because it was unevenly cooked, by the it was more like a thin slice of meat rather than a proper steak.

By far the WORST Dennys I have ever been to. Food aweful. The management is as bad as the food. This place is a joke. Takes an hour to get your order in and if your lucky just as long to get your food. Go elsewhere.

I love Denny’s, this particular location is my favorite in the Sacramento area! The waiters/​waitresses are always very attentive! The food is always awesome! My favorite dish to date is their pot roast! My kids love being able to have breakfast anytime day or night! Yeah sometimes there is a bit of a wait but overall its always been a pleasant experience for us!

I don’t even know why I bother to review a Dennys. I mean, it’s Dennys, what do you expect? I went there for breakfast on Christmas eve with my wife and Aunt. It was busy but the staff was working hard. Unfortunatly, our waitress was obviously no longer able to work as a server. She was moving slow as molasses and looked to be in pain. I asked the manager if he was ok and he said yes as if nothing was wrong.
Here’s what pisses me off. After waiting 20 minutes for drink orders to be taken and another 30 minutes and still no food in sight, we got up and told the waitress we were leaving. The manager wouldn’t even look at me. No apology. Nothing. One hour wasted.
I feel bad for that waitress. I’m not mad at her.

Went for dinner tonight on a particular busy night, and upon arriving was prompted that they were down a server so i expected a delay… but holy cow. Not only was my table for TWO completely ignored the entire time the staff had the nerve to be RUDE! I left in disbelief and upset that I even left a tip. Everytime i go to this dennys the service is horrible. Deffinantly safe to say i will never return.

Service was super slow not a lot of people over 40 minutes and we didn’t even get a cheese appetizer so we decided to pay for coffees and walk out, we love going to Denny’s but we would definitely drive to another one before we come back to this one

Waited 10 min to be seated and prob 15 to get anyone to come see us and then another 45 to actually get our food. No communication at all. Idk what the heck was going on, patrons near us had come and gone and still we waited:/ 1 star for the food being tasty

I showed up at about 10:25am alone. I placed an order for breakfast shortly there after. It’s now 11:20am and my food has still not arrived. That’s a long time to wait for eggs and French toast.
On a side note, the staff was very nice. They also seemed frustrated by the delay.

Service was really nice. The waiter didn’t overly check in on me and always came right when I needed something without me even asking. That was nice, not being bothered while shoving a fish fillet in my mouth. The food was hot and very good. I had a nice time. Only 4 stars because I didn’t like how dirty the restaurant looked. I’d come back though.

Who doesn’t like Denny’s? Located pretty much everywhere and open at all hours it’s an American classic! Ahh… the fond memories of late night meals with friends after a wild night out, the convenience of a classic meal along that endless road trip, or the times when there just isn’t another option because everything else is closed. Whatever the experience, pretty much everyone has eaten at this classic diner at one point or another and you pretty much know you’re going to get a consistent meal from location to location wherever you go. To this day I will still never fully recover from my addiction to my «Moons Over My Hammy» and an «Oreo Fudge Sunday.» Another favorite has always been «The Super Bird» turkey melt and who can forget the classic «Grand Slam?» $ 2.99? Are you out of your mind?! Breakfast 24 hours a day, to me is A-​OK!

A group of friends and I went in there one night, place was pretty empty and had several staff members working. Sat and waited for 45 minutes without one person even asking us if we’d like water. Finally we got up to leave and they still didn’t even acknowledge us

Okay, I don’t usually go to Denny’s but for me, my partner, and my mother-​in-​law, it’s a reliable place for eating out at those off-​hours of the night. Being that we were hungry, it was off-​hours, and so on, we made a stop to Denny’s.
Food wasn’t bad. Exactly as you’d expect from a Denny’s– average yet filling– so no complaints there.
But the service. Lord.
Waiter was a young man named Keith. Smarmy type. Got impatient with mother in law when she had to use the restroom and thus needed a moment to order her drink when he ordered ours.
We ordered. Food was made quickly… It sat on the bar underneath the heat lamp. For 10 minutes. How we knew? We sat by the kitchen. Keith literally passed by our plates (along with another party’s order) about three times, conversing with a middle aged man at the bar and fellow waitresses.
When he FINALLY brought it, my mother in law asked for Tasbasco sauce. I asked for cream for my coffee. He didn’t come back with it. 20 minutes later, I flagged him down and he finally brought what we asked for. He never asked if we enjoyed the food or had any questions once throughout the meal.
We almost walked out of the restaurant to be perfectly honest (we didn’t of course but I can tell you we didn’t tip).
Hire a better waiter and maybe we’ll consider returning. It takes ages to gain a returning customer and one crappy visit to lose them.

First, let me start with: who doesn’t like Denny’s? It’s a total American classic!
This location is fantastic! Always busy, yet always given wonderful service. The staff is extremely pleasant and is great at remembering «regular» customers. Kristin is really sweet and always running around, working hard.
The food is always up to standard and the restaurant is clean for the most part.
Thanks for always being open for me, Denny’s!

This Denny’s is typically hit and miss, two days ago I had an amazing experience there with one of the best waitresses i’ve had at this restaurant in a long time and one of the best burgers I’ve had as well.
It was a nice change to come to this Denny’s for once and actually get good service and good food, however the restrooms in this restaurant are absolutely horrendous and disgusting. They need to be completely tore out & remodeled.
The restaurant itself is in need of a major facelift and remodeling as well. It’s about time and that Denny’s upgrades this location since their crew is finally up to par on making and serving food.
Well at least during my lunch experience, typically it was.
Normally you are served by this old crusty bat does a horrible job and F’s up every order she is the worst waitress i’ve ever experienced my adult life.
As long as the old bat isn’t there this place is ok to go to.

Really bad experience on a Friday evening bout 11pm. Went in and sat at the counter. Waitress sees me and says «just a minute».
Then she goes to a large group and is laughing and chatting with them for 10 minutes.
Comes by counter again. I try to catch her attention and again she ignores me with «just a minute».
I leave at that point but want to let the manager know how unprofessional her waitress was.
Manager, gal named Kelly in mid 40’s who looked like she was working under a diesel truck comes up and before I can explain anything immediately goes to bat for her employee. «Can’t you see we’re busy etc etc»
I usually enjoy the informal atmosphere and friendliness of Denny’s but this Denny’s and its management stink.

Ouch what a terrible Denny’s! I arrived at 9:20 pm on a Friday night. We were seated promptly and our order taken. After 40 minutes our food arrived and both plates were COLD! I spoke to the manager on duty and she let us leave without paying for our drinks.
I’ve never been to a worse Denny’s and I frequent them in the Sacramento area. But never again in Carmichael!
The waitress was polite. We were seated in table 12 per the manager on December 5^th.

Dennys is Denny’s. Sometimes u just have to hit up Denny’s due to drunk reasons. This location isn’t too ratchet. Food is bland but the late night service isn’t too bad
