Darn it! I really liked this place… was going to try it one more time then write my review. Went today and it’s closed. :( Looks like it’s now called Flip N Shake. Not open yet, but I’ll write my review asap this time. Really bummed for the family that owned Burger Max, they seemed like super nice people and the food was good when I went. :(

After reading so many great reviews I had to give Burger Max a try. This is a good, honest burger. Everything tasted fresh and the counter person was quite accomodating with my numerous soda refills. The burger is big and a value at $ 4.99. I went with the«Classic Max» and added American Cheese. The burger comes with lettuce, tomato, white onion and mayo. The burger was cooked to well and the fries were perfectly fried.

Don’t let the generic look of this place fool you. The make real burgers on fresh buns. The pastrami burger is great! The garlic fries are amazing they are cooked to a perfect crisp. If you are a garlic lover I recommend getting them extra garlic.

Great burgers, great service! Definitely not what is to be expected from the outside it is clean outside but at night not the best area, after walking inside it is transformed to comfortable, and the food will have me coming back soon for sure. Fresh avocado even in November!

Wow, these are real burgers! Wonderful baked buns, juicy real beef(NOTFASTFOOD). I stopped eating junk fast food about 8 years ago and when I saw the sign«FOODMAX» I just assumed it was fast food. Boy was I wrong! Theirs burgers are as authentic as you get and their garlic fries are to die for. REALGARLIC on them. I don’t eat out much and cook and eat organic whenever possible, but when I want a REAL hamburger I go here. They have a wonderful menu and reasonably priced. And right around the corner from me. I recommend if you want a real burger and fries come to BURGERMAX!!! The only reason I am not giving 5 stars is because they are not organic. Sorry Guys.

After a handful of visits i realized this place can become addicting. I tried a variety of items from their classic max burger to the superburger and they were pretty darn good. What i love about this joint is the consistency and the quality. You can taste the freshness and flavor with every bite. The prices are reasonable considering you’re getting fresh real hamburgers with decent side portions. It’s one of the top burger spots around. Definitely will be back to work my way through their great menu.

Been here twice. Price: Around $ 10 if you’re getting the typical burger, fries, and drink trio. But the portions are huge, so don’t compare to fastfood chains. Service: Nothing to complain about, a young guy working in the kitchen, who might be the manager or the owner, is very friendly and helpful. Food: Both times I’ve taken my order out so I can’t be accurate but, after 5 mins drive home, the bottom part of the burger was soggy. So the burger tasted okay until the last ¼ of it. I don’t know what exactly made the burger soggy; might be the juice from the meat or water residue from the vegetables. I’m giving 3 stars due to its soggyness of the take-out order and I wish they could make an improvement on their menu, which is way too messy. I will continue to make visits to this restaurant and update my review as well.

This place makes GREAT burgers! Unfortunately they are the worlds worst marketers. Their customer base is getting smaller and smaller. They now have a sign out advertising 20% off. What person wanting good food goes to a «discounted» restaurant? I told them they should add color to the building(see BK/MCD/SMASH/HABIT burgers. Certain colors make people hungry… yellow, brown, red. I advised them to use social media… I.E. challenge the exotic burger places to a «Cook-off» on FB and twitter; they would win. Even if they didn’t it’s FREE publicity! In the end, I fear they will vanish. They make a great burger but will no think outside the box. 20% off… really???

I saw this place driving home in the location of a former Jimboy’s Tacos. Decided to round up the family and try it for dinner on a Friday night. Boy were we all glad we did! We all LOVED our burgers! Lots of topping options(Pastrami, Bacon, etc.) and we all left full and happy. Burgers looked amazing and tasted better. Fries were crispy, hot and fresh. They serve Pepsi(notice a theme in my reviews relating to Pepsi?) And because they didn’t break the bank, we had enough to get everyone a soft serve cone for dessert. Come support this great local business.

This is seriously the best burgers in town! I’ve already been there multiple times and have tried a different item each time and have loved each one. I highly recommend the soul burger, super burger, pastrami burger, or the philly cheese. I spoke to the owner and they make every burger fresh. The best thing about this place is the ad-ons that you can make to customize your burger to your liking. I only wish there was one closer to Elk Grove!

Everyone has their place and I think Burger Max is great for what it does — it offers above-average burgers to a part of town that’s limited to above-average burgers. My recent visit with a co-worker left me a bit more surprised than I anticipated and I’ll certainly return when and if I’m in the area. We were the only ones here but a few folks came and went during our lunch, but they haven’t been open that long so word is still getting out. I ordered the Pastrami Burger, add bacon, with some fries and a soda and my co-worker had the Western Classic. Prices are comparable to burger joints of the same caliber so I wasn’t overly shocked. I did find it interesting that they have a «Soul Burger»(burger with hot link) on the menu and if I recall, J & R’s Drive-In on Florin Rd had something identical with the same name. The wait time here was a bit long considering we were the only ones here but again, newly opened and probably still adapting to the kitchen, etc. No worries. The Pastrami burger was a beast, which is what I was looking for, and flavor wise it was pretty good but it didn’t knock my socks off. Fries are standard, run-of-the-mill frozen brown-bag fries. Co-worker said the western was pretty much the same, good all-around burger for the most part, just not anything getting exclamation points. During our visit there was a weathered lady who came in and went straight to the bathroom and stayed there until a guy pulled up out front and came in asking the guy behind the counter if he’d seen his girlfriend again, as if this is common occurrence. I thought this was a little weird, but oh well. Overall, not a bad burger at all. Location is a little deep and suspect for me but I’d return if I’m in the area or perhaps building an appetite while playin’ some red light-green light next door at Foothill Skate Inn. Either way, I hope they do well here. pastrami burger —

A burger-lover’s dream, and hands down some of the best burger’s I’ve ever ate in my entire life! It’s very easy to become totally addicted to Burger Max. For one, the food is incredibly fresh and ONLY made until you order it. Ordering is a breeze and customizing your burger is almost about as limited only to your imagination! Want double bacon and double patties stacked one by one? Want a special layer of ranch, well-done with extra avacado and bacon? Or how about this– add a sunny-side-up EGG to my buger! My personal 3 favorite items that make Buger Max awesome are the Avacado and Bacon Burgers. I’ve also heard wonderful things about their Pastrami Burgers as well. The bacon is incredibly flavorful– I have no idea what kind it is but its made from the stuff of dreams. Incredibly tasty– and the meat… the most important part of a burger– ISSOFRESH, JUICY, and FLAVOR-TASTIC! My god its the most NON-processed tasting burger I’ve ever had the opportunity to experience. It makes just about every other burger out there taste like sewage. You have not had a burger until you’ve tasted a Burger Max burger. Bacon Cheese Fries, smothered in juicy cheese and covered in bacon… its incredible. Now as far as the place go I’ve got a round of compliments as well. It may not be in «the best» area of town, but its certainly not the worst. There’s a load of car dealerships, gas stations, and auto-part stores nearby who’s patrons visit– alongside with the trendy hipsters and trendy young adults it seems to be becoming popular with. It is a relatively small place, but its very clean and quiet. There’s some nice flatscreen tv’s to watch the news or sports on– but they’re not disrupting in any way. The bathrooms are feature a men’s bathroom and an «everyone» bathroom, and are small but very clean! The seats in the booths are very comfortable and supporting to bad backs– as I am a recovering back-surgery patient I always appreciate comfortable seating. Booths are pretty spacious and fit up to 4 people as well. There’s ketchup and mustard bottles at a small buffet table in the middle of the restaurant– so help yourself! They don’t really wait on you but sometimes they will bring you your order if you’re seated or one member of your party got their food early and the rest are waiting. Prices– they’re not bad at all. And you can be sure to know this: you definitely get what you pay for. Burgers are mostly around $ 5.99, but they are hearty and very filling! Cheese fries, Bacon Cheese Fries, and the Nachos they sell are around $ 5 as well– however you get a big box full of them– 1 order can totally feed at least 2 people if you’re eating a burger also. When I first walked in on my first visit, two guys walking out complained about the Nachos being $ 5. When I left I thought, «Wow, those guys can’t possibly understand that $ 5 for a Nachos THAT big is not a bad price at ALL. Seriously, pick anything from this place– they give you quite a bit! With a very good price-to-food-amount ratio and impeccable quality, Burger Max is a perfect choice for any Burger connoisseur to check into for dine in or take out. A friendly staff, clean and quiet facility, customizability of menu items, and an overall generally perfect experience every time I’ve visited– has made this place my new favorite #1 burger joint. It may not look like much from the outside– a basic-looking building, may seem small to some– but it packs a massive punch! I have absolutely NO idea how anyone could not LOVE this place!

This place was a pleasant surprise, we ended up getting our car smogged near here and needed to pass the time, now were hooked, the cheese skirt is just as good if not better than squeeze in itself and the quality is ALWAYS super fresh(please note though that because its fresh the wait time can lag a little depending on how many folks are ahead but thats the price you pay for fresh food like this) I got the avocado burger and garlic fries the fries are always super crisp even when I got home and later that night had them for left overs they were delish and we all know fries are gross when they are soggy and cold these didnt get that way at all, my ONLY complaint and its super trivial and a personal preference. is that I feel like they go light on the garlic so they dont offend anyone by overpowering the dish but I say if someone doesnt know what their getting into by ordering garlic fries then dont order them so pack it on! haha but thats just me! we also had some chili cheese fries and they were amazing the chili is great! my kiddies loved their food too even my super picky youngest ate her entire burger with all the toppings and went on and on about how its«the bestest burger in the world» this isnt just a review of the one visit we have been back three times since that one visit and each time it is the same caliber that it always is! quality and service never change. this is a gem and a must if your in this neighborhood!

Move over Big Mac, there’s a new #1 in town! i crushed the Pastrami burger with fries and onion rings. The food doesn’t taste preprocessed and it was fresh. I’ve had my fair share of burgers in my lifetime, from Burgers and Brew to the iconic whopper, but i’ve got to say that the Pastrami burger here was one of the best burgers i’ve had in a good while. The employees were very friendly and attentive. The place was clean and it had a very relaxed and comfortable environment. I’m the type of person that has to eat in peace, and this place definitely has that vibe. 5 Stars for a SuperStar burger!
