Got a coupon in the mail, went to subway, ordered my food, owner flat out refused to accept the coupon and argued with me. The coupon is the whole reason I went to subway. No recourse, just a big no. Left empty-handed.

Like i said before, i wouldn’t typically write a review on a place like subway but i was a little ticked when i was greeted at the door with«hey» then a «what do you want to eat?». It didn’t bother me as much as the tone of the employee. Not only that they used a quarter of an avocado for a foot long, rather than a half which i have observed at many other locations. Then i pulled out a coupon that was not expired and the guy told me they did not accept it at that store. The coupon clearly stated«greater sacramento area». But whatever the cookies were bomb. Still wont come back.

By far my favorite Subway ever! I’ve been coming here for the past 4 years and no other Subway location tops it. Their place is always spotless, fresh, and welcoming. If you come there often(like I do), the owners eventually remember you and your name and have friendly conversations with you while they prepare your food. If you just glance at their food prepapration station, you can tell that they pride themselves on how fresh their food is and how clean they keep it. There’s never any loose crumbs or pieces of lettuce anywhere, and if there is it’s wiped away in seconds. The vegetables always look great; you never have to worry about soggy lettuce or anything like that. Basically this is the best Subway location in the area and everyone should make a visit here if they’re ever in the mood for a good sandwich. Oh and also, make sure to get one of their chocolate chip cookies… they’re amazing

Great food. Very nice people. The place was spotless. I ordered online so it was a very fast pickup. I would order again.

By far the worst subway I’ve ever been to. They do not accept any subway coupons. The owner is awful towards his employees and won’t let them work the cash register. They count each and every piece of meat and microscopically sliced piece of produce they put on your sandwich. I know subway is known for not being generous with produce, but this subway takes it to a whole new level. I would only recommend this place to people looking for an expensive light snack. Not a good place to get a meal.

The kids working there are great. The owner is what makes this place awful. He doesn’t trust any of his employees to run the cash register when he is there. I’ve been there multiple times when he makes my order up until the end when they ask if you want salt & pepper on your sandwich. Then he disappears in the back for 5 minutes, to restock bread or do whatever he feels is more important than getting customers out the door, leaving his employees apologizing because they aren’t allowed to work the cash register no matter how busy the place is. Oh but when the owner does finally make it to the cash register, he is always apologetic about not getting his customers or their hot sandwiches out the door in a reasonable amount of time. I guess that apology makes it all okay.

Wow. What a skimpy owner. Would barely give me spinach, slices his cucumber beyond visibility it’s so thin… and said«other people need veggies too» and when HEFOUND A HAIRONMYSANDWICH said I generally don’t shed. Cool.

I eat at subway everyday… This location(Joseph) wanted to charge me over $ 11 for a chicken salad! After letting him know that was to much he got it little under $ 11. Told him I’ve never spent over $ 10 and pointed out mistakes on my receipt he then went on to tell me i could go eat anywhere! Told him he is over charging people and he is but he didn’t seem to care!!! SOBEWAREOFWHATYOUAREPAYINGFOR! There are much cheaper and nicer subways then this one! I will never be taking me or my guys to this location

I stopped by this on my way to do some fishing to William B. Pond. I was approached and asked for my order. About half way through the person making my sandwich screamed at me for bringing in a dog. I understand that it is his business and his rules, but he did not have to be so rude about it. I personally work at Subway and man this guy was SLOW. It took him 5+ minutes to make one sandwich. Not only was he slow, he made it wrong. It’s supposed to be 6 tomatoes and cucumbers or from end to end. He put four and it wasn’t even from end to end. I do not recommend coming to this Subway.

Joseph and Susana, the owners of this Subway, and their two sons are terrific people. They are consistently warm and friendly and enjoy chatting with their customers. I have visited their store at least 30 to 60 times so I can vouch for that. They also put a lot of care into making each sandwich. If you want a quick and tasty high-quality meal with excellent service at a low price in Carmichael … look no further. One minor downside is that parking can be tight. If you are driving such that Subway is to your right and the lot looks full, I suggest taking a right at the street just past the parking lot, and then entering the parking lot from that street. The dining area is small and simple, about 4 or 5 booths, but pleasant and I’ve found that at 7pm you can usually find a place to eat there.

This subway is one of the stingiest subway in town. I get footlong ham sandwich all the time, this is the only subway that charge $ 6.25 for footlong ham. Every subway I have been to in last 4 years charge $ 5.

I wish I could give them zero stars. I have tried this Subway 3 months ago and vowed never to go to them because of the stingy owner and the miserly way of making the sandwich. I felt I ate a loaf of bread more than anything else. I have tried them 3 times, they do not even accept any Subway coupons and are extremely stingy about the produce on ur sandwich. On a footlong sandwich you will be lucky if you get 4 pieces of capsicum on. They are closest to my home but I am not going there again

Been here once and it was alright. Nothing great. Main reason for even reviewing is to just point out that the photos on this review are of a different location.(This one is near Walnut/Arden, the photos are of the Marconi/Fair Oaks location.)

I love subway but this one has to be one of the worst. The whole point of subway is a healthy sandwich. Good luck getting lettuce on your sandwich. They barely put any on. My wife ordered a veggie sandwich hardly had any veggies on it. Pathetic. It’s walking distance from our house but we will avoid at all costs.

Beware! this by far is the worst subway I’ve ever been to. I have given this subway now 3 chances. first time I went to the subway it took 15 minutes for him to make 2 sandwiches and this was the owner of the subway. when I ask for avocado on my veggie delight he might as well have taken out of fucking ruler and measure his cuts. he cut the avocados so thin it was ridiculous. and the subway Harley put any produce on your sandwich. so on my second visit I was helped by a young lady made my sandwich faster and she agreed with me when I made a comment about the owner beans so slow at making sandwiches. but once again my sandwich had very little produce on it this is the most stingy subway ever been to. so on my third time once again I was helped by the owner and nothing had changed very slow very stingy with the produce. I don’t quite get this guy’s business ethics. the only thing I have good to say about this restaurant is it is very clean I see that he seems to be very obsessive compulsive. it’s kind of sad when you have more bread than produce on your sandwich. so if you like a real sandwich do not I repeat do not go to this subway. Also I am not the only one that feels this way other neighbors of mine feel this way too.

My family loves Subway, it’s quick and cheaper compared to burger chains and we go to subway for quick lunch or dinner almost once every week sometimes more especially if we’re really in a hurry. My kids schools are closed to this Subway location so my wife and the kids goes to this subway often. Today I had to pick-up my kid from school and we had to grab a quick lunch at this subway and I ordered a Philly Steak Footlong combo/meal($ 8.50 + $ 2.25) for my kid and for me before I ordered I asked if I could get a 6″ Pastrami($ 5.75) but instead of a sandwich make it into a Salad and was told that they can do it. So when I get to pay for my order I told the cashier what my orders were and he replied«Yes» a couple of times while ringing my order and I think he was trying to figure out how to ring the salad. To my surprise my total was a whopping $ 20.96 so I immediately look at my receipt and lo and behold he charged me a Pastrami Footlong instead of a 6″ Pastrami Salad. I asked him why and was told that the $ 3 was the additional charge for turning the 6″ sandwich to a salad and was told that it’s the cost for the plastic bowl and a little bit of veggies. I could understand $ 1 more but $ 3 and the fact that on the receipt it was clearly stated it’s a Pastrami Footlong doesn’t bode well on the honesty factor. So I told him that if I would have known this extra $ 3 cost before hand and if it was clearly shown on the menu/somewhere on the board(which I couldn’t see anywhere that’s why I asked) I would have just ordered the Footlong. He kept on telling me that the $ 3 was the cost and if I don’t like the salad then I could just change it which was not the point since I like the salad it’s just the cost of the salad and the way the charge was presented. Since the cashier just kept on insisting on the $ 3 cost and he was set on it and I couldn’t really get my point across I just decided to accept his suggestion on changing my order to Footlong which he already charged me and I paid for, but when I get my Footlong to my surprise again I get charge additional $ 0.25 cents for the change. I asked him why the additional charge and he couldn’t really explained well. So we just took our sandwiches and got my receipt and tried to enjoy our lunch. It’s good thing on the receipt there’s also a site on Subway that they ask for a survey which I just finished submitting right before I write this review. One thing I would also like to add, after this experience, I went to another Subway in the area and asked for the price of 6″ Pastrami turned into a Salad instead of a sandwich and was told that it will cost me $ 6.50 or a $ 1 more(this particular store sells their pastrami $ 5.50). So for Subway lover out there who wants to turn their sandwich into a salad just make sure to look or ask for the price first before ordering so that you don’t get«sticker price shock». I think I will just redeem my free cookie from the Subway survey I submitted from this store and see what happens.

This is my first time at this particular subway location, i normally go to the one on manzanita ave location I must say this location is much much better. Ehat i mean by that is they are not stingy with the fixings that goes on the sandwich as oppose to getting skimped at the Manzanita location.

I love love love this subway. I mean, a subway is a subway(for the most part) At this location, their ingredients are always fresh, the shop is always clean… all that good stuff. but what makes this one extraordinary is the owners/staff. They are so sweet and welcoming. They remember you when you come in! Always so friendly. And you can tell they are just good happy people, not just putting on a «sales» face.

I love this Subway. The owners are very personable, the store is always very clean, and prices are the same as you would find everywhere else. We often have large orders for our company, sometimes over 40 different sandwiches, sometimes with just an hour notice. Every time they have had things ready, in order, on time. I’ve noticed the last few times, they even remembered what some of my topping preferences were. I can’t say enough about how great this store, owners, and staff really are.

While the sandwiches are good at this location, and the owner and employees are welcoming, there are other Subways nearby with better prices, offer advertised deals, accept coupons, etc. For example, I saw a commercial for english muffin breakfast sandwiches and coffee for $ 2.50. Most of the english muffin breakfast sandwiches at this location are $ 2.49 w/the Sunrise one being $ 2.99! Also, no mention of the coffee deal. The Subway just down the street at Fair Oaks and Marconi offers the advertised prices and coffee deal… I’ve also tried to use coupons at this location and the owner wouldn’t accept them, but the other stores in the area do.
