I enjoy going into Giordano’s to look at the old and often oddball stuff they have around. They’ve got cars, motorcycles, bicycles, toys, vintage magazines, and automotive marketing collateral. That’s the good. The bad is that nearly everything in there is a project. Nearly nothing there runs or is ready to run. A lot of the cars and motorcycles are in states of partial dis-assembly, and many of them look like barn finds. The prices are sky high. In talking with the guy behind the counter, I learned that he sells a lot to European buyers. Apparently they’ll pay more than Americans will for some of this stuff, and pay for shipping, too. Not everything they show on their web site is in the showroom. Giordano’s is worth a stop if you like looking at old machines.
