Places like this are gems for people who try to eat healthy when they are out… good quality meat kabobs, grilled vegetables, and some seriously delicious rice… The soup that came with our meal was kinda bland lemon soup but it was good. Not sure why a Lebanese restaurant is serving Greek soup but whatever, it was pretty good and not too salty. The big plus is that for a really good price I got grilled steak kabobs, rice, vegetables, and some soup. The kabobs weren’t anywhere near Baba Karam’s or even Reza’s, but they were decent, they were priced right, and I was really happy with it at this price point. The rice was seriously amazing though. I’ll be back the next time I want something decent that doesn’t break the bank.

I went here tonight because it was raining and my regular pita place was too far. By it’s looks you wouldn’t know how GREAT the food is. The combo plate along with the spinach pie, potatoes and rice are the best in the burbs without heading into the toilet of a Chicago. I was there a little while(10 minutes) while I watched him prepare and grill everything fresh. I just ate half and still have a pound of food left. It’s fresh, marinated to perfection and the owners are Palestinian not that it matters, however I was happy they didn’t throw rocks at me. It’s an OUTSTANDING place for take out.

I think I can cook better middle eastern food at home! It just didn’t taste authentic. We had the chicken kabob dinner. It wasn’t nasty or dry just bland. Even the falafil had no flavor! We won’t be back! Save your money and try pita inn!

Got two meals from here. Had to throw them both out as they were unedible.

Stopped here for a bite to-go as we headed to the drive-in for a flick. If you’re looking for some Mediterranean eats on the fly and on the cheap, this is a great place to stop. I’m a vegetarian, and their options(as with most Mediterranean spots) are pretty plentiful. The man behind the counter was sweet and helpful. I got the stuffed grape leaves and falafel. My husband got the beef shawarma.

Let me start by saying that I was on the fence about eating here based upon the mixed reviews I read about Pita Paradise. I can tell you the the lady behind the counter was very friendly and helpful when we placed our order and answered our questions about the menu. After we placed our order we looked for a clean open table, but there wasn’t any. Interesting… because we were the only patrons the restaurant at the time and it was the middle of the afternoon. So we picked a table and asked her if she would clean it for us, which she kindly obliged. However the rag she used to wipe off the table smelled like a cross between stinky cheese and an old pair of gym shoes. At that point my wife and I were pretty grossed out but managed to overcome that moment. While ordering we asked if the shawarma was cooked on a spit, but she said it was grilled. We decided to try the chicken and beef sandwiches. It was JUST okay. I thought the meat was on the salty side and the sauce had a bit of a sour taste to it. This restaurant could use a good cleaning as I could see many surfaces in the dining area were dirty around the drink fountains. I really wanted to like this place but I can honestly say I won’t go back. It was gross.

I may not be as familiar with this restaurant’s style of food but I have had great mediterranean food and I have had some awful mediterranean food. Pita Paradise is a very low average for me. I ordered a simple combo dinner platter and the rice was watery. Almost like they mixed it with their soup or something. There was a lot of soggy vegetables instead of the typical lettuce I am used to on the platter. Their soup was just OK and the falafel was bad. As also noted, the place was pretty dirty. Dishes were left on tables and there a cart by the garbage can that was full of dishes and the place was empty. Can’t sign off on this place. There are too many good mediterranean restaurants out there for this one to be this bad.

I eat lunch here one or two times a week and often bring carry out home for«Mediterranean Monday». My kids love it especially the chicken shawarma and hummus. Nothing is bad on the menu but the Mediterranean Salad is a masterpiece. And I’m not even a sale guy!

Have the hummus!!! It is very flavorful. Can definitely taste the lemon. The food here is very good. The combos get you plenty to eat.

It is a bit of a hole in the wall, but great food. Helpful old guy who manages the restaurant and adjacent hookah lounge rather well for a one man team. I give this place probs always had good Mediterranean hospitality and am able to find this as a good place to chill when I need down time.

I had qualms about visiting this restaurant after reading the previous reviews. There are no worries here. Everything was clean, well kept, and as far as I could tell, quite sanitary. There were clean tables, chairs, floors and walls. The kitchen is in view of the register, and there were no obvious health risks. There was no smoke in the air as was mentioned by a previous reviewer. This is not a fancy restaurant you visit to impress a date. It is just decent food at decent prices. They have daily specials. It was a nice alternative to the typical fare and I will return. I cannot comment regarding the authenticity or quality compared to other Mediterranean restaurants, as this was my first experience with this type of restaurant.

I carry out here every so often. Always friendly people. Food is good, and quickly prepared. I would recommend this place for carry-out if you’re looking Mediterranean close by.

Lunch specials! this place is the closest i will ever come to traveling to the middle east. there is something comforting about a warm lentel soup and CNN on your lunch break. my little hole in the wall, great value falafel spot. don’t tell anyone though. they may not have enough room to seat any new faces.

4 stars for the food, 0 for the lack of hygiene= 2 stars. I’ve been here a handful of times, and I always get the chicken kabob sandwich. It’s pretty awesome; the pita bread is soft and chewy. The chicken and vegetables are flavorful and the sauce is a tastebud treat. But– they don’t seem to understand the concept of basic hygiene. Tonight, the cashier also made my food, came out to the dining room to clean up, answered phones, etc… all without ever washing his hands or donning gloves. I was grossed out. I mean, really?!? I was very weary about eating my food after I walked out, but I don’t want to be wasteful and I’m too shy yell at the jerk, hand him the food back, and demand a refund. I suppose I could have found a homeless bum and given it to him. However, I didn’t see any around so into my belly it went. The sandwich itself was very good. Like I said, it’s the only thing I get from there and it’s pretty consistent. This time I requested slightly less lettuce, which Mr. Dirty Hands followed through on. The chicken and veggies were hot and well seasoned. The whole drive home, my stomach felt like I had swallowed a brick. I stayed in the right lane as much as possible in case I had to pull over quickly and yack. However, I made it home without blowing chunks and the brick feeling was gone. I think it was just the thought of Dirty Hands handling my food that I had ingested. Phew. All in all, despite my love for that chicken kabob sandwich, I don’t think I’ll be back. I may have been lucky this time, but who knows what sickness I’d catch in the future.

This place surprised me. It’s a hole in the wall, but the lamb shawarma, my husband’s combo plate, and the bowl of lentil soup that we tried were all really, really good. Worth coming back for. It was just one guy running the show and the place is pretty simple, but the food was fantastic.

You don’t go for the ambiance, that’s for sure, but once you taste the food, I think you’ll forget the kind of dingy surroundings. For me, the only thing keeping me from bumping them to four stars is the condition of the restaurant itself. If they took more care of the inside, it’d be better. There’s dive-y, but this isn’t that. It’s also in kind of a strange spot, and if you are coming south on Schmale, good luck getting into the entrance. We used to eat here fairly often though when we lived in the area, and we never had a bad experience. Always liked what we had to eat, and usually went when it was warm and sat outside. All things considered, it’s worth a visit.

Meh. Just, meh. Lamb kabobs were tough. Tried to sell my dining companion on the wonders of yummy lamb and then was embarrassed when he was presented with THESE. Pita House and Pita Inn have definitely spoiled me for the likes of other(and inferior) establishments. Paradise? Hardly.

It’s a good spot for cheap eats. While everything was fresh, especially the pita for my chicken shawarma, nothing made my taste buds jump off my tongue. I was looking for more seasoning and perhaps some tabouli. For $ 6.96 including tax, I walked away with a plate of grilled veggies(you get a choice of fries, salad, soup or veggies), a fountain drink and a decent sized sandwich(Combo #2) If Halal meat is a diet requirement, this is a good stop for you. I’ll probably go back to try the kufta.
