Been a patron of The Pub for years. Love their wings and outdoor activities. Sand volleyball, bags, horseshoes, turkey shoot. Tons of fun! It’s the best kind of-​everyone knows your name-​dive bar. The only thing I hate about it is that it’s in a basement and I get a bit claustrophobic.

Decent food and friendly bartender. Might have been my mood but didnt want to stay very long. Definitely not easy to spot the sign for the place.

If you love dive bars, this is the place to go! It’s in a basement, and lacks windows. How much more «divey» can you get? Drinks are cheap, it’s never really crowded (unless you go on a Wednesday between 6−8pm for wing night), or you happen to go there on a Saturday night when all the pubescent tweenies are moshing their smelly bodies over each other for the latest EMO-​SCREAM-​O band.
Speaking of wing night — AMAZEBALLS! Other competitors in the area that try to compete on such high food level standards as Pub Yahoo (*cough* Winfield Tapas *cough*), can’t touch Yahoo’s wings. You’ll pay $ 4 for 10 wings, or $ 8 for 20 on half price wing night. The wings are big in size, and OMGWTFBBQ sized in flavor!

While you’re there, sit down at one of the 3 video poker/​slot machines to win some cold card cash. What will you do with all the cash that you just won? Buy the whole bar a shot, of course — because that’s what the local high class clientele would do for you! The patrons that visit this bar are friendly, clean, sophisticated and not stuck up like some other local craft beer places.
My long time friend, Mike. O from Elgin (who you will find on Unilocal), is a food aficionado, will attest to the greatness and level of quality that Yahoo has come to deliver over the years. He has written articles for newspapers reviewing food joints, and Yahoo is always on the top of the list!

My bestfriend and I figured we would give this place a go after several people told us they have «the best wings». Now, I am a HUGE fan of Buffalo Wild Wings, so I was kind of leary about ventruing out of my relm. But what the heck…
The restuarant isn’t even a restaurant, it’s in the basement of the American Legion Hall. So, again, if you are trying to find this place using your GPS, you may want to put in the directions to the Legion hall, rather Pub Yahoo. We wound up driving by about three times before we decided to just pull in and call. When the woman told us we were at the right place I started getting this overwhelming feeling I was about to experience what a real slasher movie was all about.
The parking lot is dark, and this place is pretty run down and to top it all off, you have to go in the cellar basically! When we walked in, I was shocked how busy it was. The bartender told us it was going to be at least an hour for us to get a table, so we decided to just eat at the bar.
Now, here is the kicker.
They have a special on their wings on Wednesday’s…when I say wings, im literally talking WINGS the WHOLE WING. Not the baby wings you get from Buffalo Wild Wings, these are HUGE. PLEASE be careful on how many you order, 10 will fill you up plenty. We made the mistake of not asking how big their wings were and wound up with a ton of left overs. That’s OK because they were scrumptious!!! I wouldn’t say the BEST, but pretty darn good! The only thing that turns me off about them is that I came across a few of them that had feathers still attached to them. that was rather gross, but maybe that doesn’t bother some people.
If your looking for a CHEAP, good place for wings, give this place a shot…

Yet another dive joint… BUT I LOVE IT. The people there are very friendly. They have many activities there for their patrons. Dont expect glamour when you go there but do expect a good time. Its not unusual for someone to buy you a drink. The wings on wednesday are cheap and great. The bartenders are awesome. Ive been there several times and always have a great time.

Good bar fare, and REALLY cheap drinks. One night there I had a DD and decided to tie one off. After several beers and a couple shared shot’s (I purchased) I barely spent $ 30 after a 20% tip. It’s not a classy joint, so make sure you bare that in mind when going. Otherwise you might be a bit disappointed. LOL
