Stopped in here on a Friday night. This location was an Asian /Sushi place in a previous incarnation that could not make it even though it was an alright spot. Place was busy and we had to wait about 15 minutes for a table. Sports bar/pub atmosphere inside. A nice looking spot, quite lively. The menu here had quite a few interesting selections to choose from. We ordered a salad with pears and balsamic, pretzels, and a couple of their burgers of which they had quite a selection to choose from. They also have a fairly large craft beer list. Service was friendly and fast, always a plus. All of the food items we ordered were good. The pretzels came with a cheese sauce and were really good. Three large pretzels and the sauce was made in-house. Light and subtle tasting. On the burgers, they give you an option on your side. I got the tater tots which were quite tasty and the portion size was so large, I could not come close to finishing. Burger was cooked perfectly and came on my chosen pretzel roll which was top notch and held up to the burger. I liked this spot and would definitely come back to check out. Cheers to all

Boyfriend and I came in today for some drinks and food. Ordered the veggie burger and a margarita flatbread. The food was really good! Maybe a little extra olive oil or balsamic on the flatbread so it wasn’t as dry would work but it was still tasty. They have a solid beer selection, and if you’re unsure about a certain beer just ask for a small sample. Dave was our bartender and he is amazing. Being that it was a Monday lunch shift it was a little slower so we got to actually hang out and chat, really awesome guy! He has a really great beer knowledge even outside of what they currently had on tap. Brett James is awesome as well. Their draft list is in order of the tap handles which was really cool. As bartenders we also really appreciate bars that do an industry discount. Definitely a 5⁄5 and we will be back!

New the the area(from the city) and had a friend coming to visit. Was excited to try this place. The food was decent but the service was not. We had to ask for silverware to eat out appetizer, water, and napkins. The server was MIA. She also asked if we wanted our bill together or separate and we asked for it on one bill. She brought it on separate bills? The pub wasn’t very busy so there wasn’t a reason for the lack of attention.

Not a bad little bar in downtown glen Ellyn. Nothing special, but also nothing bad to say. The beer menu was awesome, but overall it was a bit pricey. Will def come here again.

First off I we didn’t even eat here so those stars aren’t for the food. They are specifically for the bartender Dave. We stopped at this place yesterday for a drink just before having dinner somewhere else. The bar was stocked with Blantons bourbon and we were excited because it’s hard to come by. The bartender was knowledgable in other bourbons and gave us a nice recommendation. He was also very engaging in conversation that was funny and welcoming. It didn’t feel forced or like he was doing«his job». It felt genuine. This is HIGHLY important to me at an establishment. Amazing service is rare to come by so when I get it, I like to give credit where it’s due. Thanks again Dave and we will be back to have dinner at the bar sometime.

Ran in while it was poring rain, around 3pm, and the cable had gone out so the few people who were there were just standing around staring at each other. Bartender also watched my family and I walk in and sit down… Then allowed us to sit there for 5 minutes with no hint of acknowledgment! Good luck staying in business allowing locals and would-be regulars to just walk in and out! Side note, I also tried to apply to this location 3 times and couldn’t get someone to print out an application for me. Three times! Get your horrible service together or good riddance!!!

The food is fine here, but it is just uncomfortable to come with kids… It’s just not set up well to accommodate them. I wish I could give it a better review but in the five times I have had dinner here, I always walked out wishing they would take some tips from great city bars that have the same concept like Kirkwood, crossing or brownstone but embrace the fact that families are going to come.

Glad this place is here in my neighborhood! I have gone to the other location in Naperville and this one is just as good. I love the burgers and I don’t have to wait 2 hours or drive into the city. The burgers are top notch with fresh ingredients, and they have«a lot» of options. Recently we tried the«California» and instead of a burger we had it with the Grilled Chicken. Perfectly cooked and again fresh ingredients. My first drink of choice is Whisky. They have enough variety(whisky and whiskey) and price per pour is the best around. The Balvenie Doublewood please, or maybe Glenfiddich 15 year… They have the approachable and tasty ones in my opinion. As far as other drinks, beers on tap are good but the selection could have a little wider scope and a bit more unique. This is a place I bring people to when we are looking drinks and a good burger!

Located in the downtown area, this new establishment offers plenty of micro brews. The pub, has plenty of space to host friends and simply enjoy the area. The customer service and the knowledge of their items could use some help but yet again I went on opening week.

My husband and I went here for the first time last night and I think we’ll be back! We had to wait awhile but it was NCAA Final Four so people weren’t really getting up. The food comes out quickly so I think their turnover is probably a little quicker usually. While we waited we checked out their drafts. Pretty nice list I had a Grapefruit Shandy(really refreshing and flavorful!) and my hubs had a Pineapple Sculpin– don’t remember the brewer but he liked it. I like that they use a lot of local Brewers. Food: Fried pickles– yum! Nice crunchy cornmeal crust and a spicy dipping sauce. Diablo burger and canjun fries– I don’t think my husband could feel his mouth after that but he knew what he was getting into said it was good though! runny fried egg, roasted jalapeños, pepper jack, siracha, bacon, pretzel bun. Maui Waui burger– pineapple, bacon, provolone, roasted jalapeños. It was good, I took most of the jalapeños off though so it didn’t dominate the other flavors. I like that you can sub grilled chicken for any of the burgers– will try that! Ranch– we get a side of ranch for our fries wherever we go. This one could use more flavor and be thinned out. In my opinion Nice burger list, we’ll be back to try more!

We just moved to the area about 4 weeks ago and seriously have gone 3 times now. They have created burger monsters out my husband and me. Every time we go we try a new burger(that’s 6 burgers!) and every single one has been delicious. They are very flexible with the menu as far as substitutions and subtractions. Although the burgers are paired awesomely. Friendly wait staff. Great beer list. They are currently playing all games for March Madness, and have plenty of tvs for all sporting seasons. Obviously will be going again.

This was our first time ordering from Main St Pub, and man are we glad we did! My wife had the Western burger and I the Diablo burger. The pattys were cooked to a perfect medium and just bursting with flavor. They’re definitely not skimpy with their toppings, and their spicy fries were totally unique. I can’t speak to the service or the atmosphere of the restaurant as we ordered take out, but we’re looking forward to visiting again.

This place was busy, but worth the 15min wait. The Beer Pretzel sticks were so good. My boyfriend had the Gringo Burger. The burgers were great, juicy and tasty. Only downfall was all the kids running back and forth using the golf game.

I’ve been here twice now. It’s a nice atmosphere and a great addition to downtown Glen Ellyn. The is what you might call a family bar since there is very ample seating at high tops and tables for ordering dinner. The menus is full of tasty appetizers and a whole host of burger options. I gotta say the latest trip was a bust. Both burgers were overcooked(and not just a little). My medium rare was well done. I think there is some quality control still to be worked out but the evening was a slow night — so no excuses. Actually, the first time I visited, the burgers were spot on. Maybe being busy keeps folks on their collective toes and burgers moving off the line. Anyways, I’ll be back. If you’re in downtown GE, stop on in and give it a try.

So excited about Main Street Pub! Glen Ellyn needed another bar and this place was great. Had my husband’s birthday there with friends and family and we all had a really nice time. I worked with the manager on reservations because we had 10+ people and he was so easy to work with. Love the atmosphere and the open concept, did a great job transforming the space from what it looked like before. From the hostess, to the bartenders and to our waitress, everyone was so nice and fun. Service was really good. Food was delicious as well, loved the margarita flat bread! Everyone in our large group enjoyed the food and burgers. Seriously no complaints. So needless to say we will be coming back for all the above and also because my husband loves that they have a golden tee machine in back.

This was the first time we visited Main Street Pub. We loved it! The décor is great and the space is just big enough but cozy. We had the bacon wrapped dates for an appetizer and they were super yummy. We both choose burgers for our main entrée. I had the California Burger with bacon, provolone and avocado(with lettuce and tomato too), my husband had the the Bullet Burger. The burgers were excellent and huge. What really made my meal was the hand cut fries. I WILLGOBACK just for the fries!!! The service was great. We were seated right away and the place was clean. Definitely a new place to go for us!

So Main Street Pub has only been open for two weeks. I’m hesitant to post this early in a restaurant’s life, but since I plan on going back, I’ll make an exception. First, my wife and I, along with another couple went in. We were told there would be a 30 – 45 minute wait which was odd because there were 4 open tables. The hostess was friendly and polite but did not seem to have a handle on how to seat tables. We were seated about 15 minutes later, so better a short wait than what she told us. Our waitress found us quickly and took our drink orders very quickly. It took her a few minutes to get us menus because they were short.(Short on menus??) She took our drink orders, brought them, the circled back around for a starter order. We ordered the pretzels with cheese, which were tasty. The beer selection is excellent. The place has a large burger menu. Three of us got burgers, and one got a chicken sandwich. We got them pretty quickly. I ordered a medium rare Big Country Burger which has crispy onion strings, swiss cheese and house steak sauce. I ordered it with a side of parmesan truffle fries which were by far the best I have ever had. Seriously, I would go back just for those fries. So, a couple issues. The burgers had good flavor, but they all came out over cooked. Mine was topped with a house steak sauce, which when I asked for an additional side, looked more like a mustard. It was just OK, and didn’t taste anything like whisky, or what I would have expected of a steak sauce. I sent my burger back, though my wife and friend did not. I got my burger back quickly and it was done perfectly. The only other criticism would be the pretzel bun. They were cool, not warmed, and a little dense. Some compliments… we got seated very quickly, even though they said it would be a longer wait. And while my burger came out overcooked, it was fixed quickly and made right. Also, when we told the waitress our issue, she talked with the manager and adjusted our bill. A highlight of the evening was our waitress. She was excellent. We have noi idea what her name is, but she reminded us of tv star Bridget Mendler, from«Good Luck Charlie», and now, «Undateable». She was friendly, quick to serve, checked on us discreetly, and kept our drinks filled. She was excellent! I think these criticism are all easily fixable. I’ll go back again in a couple of weeks and update my post.

As a recent transplant from the city, we’re always looking for a new, good place to eat. We went with some friends, and 4 kids the night of the Christmas tree lighting. So we were sort of expecting a debacle, things were pretty well ran– considering they had just opened a week earlier. We ordered a few different things, all were good, but the burgers were fantastic! Would definitely go back. 2 cons– the beer list is on the chalk board, which I understand since I’m sure it changes frequently, but I had to get up a few times to see what I wanted to order. AND– all of the waitresses were blonde look a likes. I had no idea who our server was. Hire some brunettes, and this place is golden.

Ha! Watch out, you three mediocre(at best) pubs in downtown glen ellyn. You know who you are. This place is the bomb. a quiet, understated atmosphere, great service, and killer burgers. i do agree with Wendy P. that it’s Red Robinish, in that there were too many children. But i don’t know what can be done about that. Hopefully, they’ll meander back to the mediocre three.
