Best place to go. We stayed in town a few years ago and found this gem. It is one place you will never get old of. My husband has a go to of — peanut butter smoothie with dragon fruit. However, I always order a different smoothie each time. When ever we pass this town we always stop by. So sad that this olace has closed down. Hope they open another one soon.

Yummy smoothies and bowls but the service is just too slow. Often times there isn’t even a line and it takes forever to get our order. One time I was the only customer in there and went up to ask where my order was ten minutes after ordering and they had forgotten to make it. Not good.

When made properly — delicious! I have found if you order online, there is a better chance of getting your order correct. It does take a while — but online orders usually are processed quicker. Pretty inconsistent quality but still tastes good, especially since they switched back to the normal granola! It seems they need a shift manager to help organizer the employees. Their is one girl in there who is very sweet and does her best organizing the other employees — but they don’t seem very willing to help when asked and get overwhelmed easily.

The peanut butter smoothie! A year ago I would have give 5 stars. But now only 2 stars. The taste of the smoothies have lessened in quality and taste. It’s as if they decided to decrease the amount of ingredient in the smoothies to help with costs. The result is a watery bland taste. Very disappointing.

Great customer service and the layout of the place is very spacious and clean. I ordered the Beach Bowl and I am hooked. They had a special«FREECOFFEE» with any bowl which was a great way to start my day. Will definitely be coming back again :)

Oh my gosh! I felt so bad! We came here after they closed for their summer hours but not being local we didn’t know! Kaitlyn stayed open for us and made us a fresh pour over coffee and a vanilla steamed milk! She was so nice about it even though she didn’t have to be! I work at coffee shop and food shop so I know what it’s like to try to close up shop when you have customers continuing to come but she went above and beyond for us! Thank you girl! You’re the best! The owner was also amazing with giving us so much useful information about their bowls and coffee roaster! thank you guys! You’re awesome! We will be sure to tell all of our friends and family about this place!

I am so disappointed in the quality of beach bowl anymore. I used to come several times a week for Juice and Pitaya. Wow was has changed. The Pitaya is very sweet now — so i can’t eat that. The Juice is ok but not consistent. I went in today and you had several employees and no leadership. It took over 35 minutes for my drink and it tasted only like Ginger so bad it burned my throat. Michael was great but he is gone and David is only good one left. I used to dance on my ay here — now i am sad — its not good anymore. The Pitaya bowls used to be amazing — great Pitaya, but now they are using Pitaya frozen yogurt, not pure Pitaya. I would pay more for pure Pitaya because it was great. I will be going to Pacific Health foods now. Good luck!

Good place to get an acaí bowls. So many different choices. All of them are yummy. However it’s not always worth the wait. Expect to wait 15 min to get your bowl when the place is empty. When busy I’ve had to wait half hr. I don’t even bother anymore and I rather wait until I’m near a backyard bowls instead.

This is a good place to get açai! They have a ton of different açai/pitaya bowls to choose from and all the toppings you could ever want! I ordered a large and it was HUGE! I highly recommend going here. It’s delicious!

The fruit was great but I was slightly disappointed by my granola. Overall it was tasty but seemed to go fast. Not my favorite bowl but I would go there again if others wanted to go.

Super friendly and great costumer service. Mike, the GM went out of his way to give me some tips on how to make cold brewed coffee! Thanks for the great conversation, coffee, and acai bowl.

3 ½ stars. We come here whenever we’re camping or spending the day at the beach. It’s a healthy alternative to all the heavy camp and convenience foods. It’s a cute place, nice staff but parking isn’t good, prices steep and takes a longggg time to get your order(they do have a sign that let’s you know it may take a while) but still a long wait. We’ve tried a bunch of the bowls, the Oasis, Beach, Chefs and Berry. All are pretty good but not consistent in the blending. My fave is the Beach bowl. My kids also like the Pitaya smoothies.

I took 2 of my coworkers here on Thursday 01÷15÷15. I come here often and am aware that it’s all hand made and takes time. But on this day it took a full half hour to get 2 orange juices with a wellness shit in each of them and one other drink. After getting the orange juices and tasting them we could tell there was no wellness shot in them. I have gotten this drink many times before. We watched them make the other juice and watched them make it completely wrong. They had made all 3 drinks wrong but we had to get back to work since we were already 15 min late from our break that we didn’t have time to say anything for fear of it taking another half hour. Last time coming here.

I love their product, I so want them to get their act together. I’ve been here quite a bit because I live nearby. When family was in town this summer they loved it too. The problem is and always has been the service. Isn’t anyone paying attention to the comments? Last time I was there on a Sunday morning, there was 1 guy working there. By the time I got to the front of the line, he apologized and said that it would be at least a half hour before he could start on our order. This place is succeeding in spite of the management. I can only imagine that if it was run better, they’d be doing even better. Let’s see if they can make it through the winter without all of that tourist crowd. It’s us locals that will keep them alive, but I already know many that won’t come back because it’s managed so poorly. Please, I want you to succeed!

The first time I came here, I was really impressed with this place. They’ve taken everything that helps make an area like Santa Barbara thrive: acai bowls, smoothies, juice, and frozen yogurt. I LOVE the variety that they have with all their bowls and smoothies. Everything about this place is great, including the atmosphere. I did notice that their service is a little more on the slower end, and I’ve seen some reviews recommend going to places like Backyard Bowls. Yes, Backyard Bowls is good, but this place has way more variety than they do, especially when it comes to all their acai/pitaya bowls, and they’re not as expensive. Their customer service is great though – very friendly workers. And depending on which Backyard Bowls location you go to, the service can be just as slow. The first time I went, I tried the Dr. Feelgood Bowl and my friend had the Oasis Bowl. Dr. Feelgood Bowl — blended with pitaya, kale, broccoli, cucumbers, bananas, lime, ginger, and apple juice. Topped with blueberries, flax seed, granola, and honey. Oasis Bowl — blended with acai, dates, bananas, pomegranate juice(and added peach). Topped with granola, bananas, strawberries, sliced almonds, and golden berries. Both very good bowls. The ginger was a little strong in the Dr. Feelgood Bowl, but it’s a great one and it’ll probably make you feel super fit, ha. I would probably add strawberries on top next time, just because I like more fruit on my bowls. I like Pitaya, but I’d also probably switch it for Acai next time, as well. The Oasis was delicious, and I loved that it had dates and golden berries on it. Most places don’t have it, just like most places don’t have kale. Places like Backyard Bowls and Blenders have only just started adding it to their menu. Next time I went, had the Celebrity Bowl: blended pitaya and acai, banana, agave, coconut water, and pomegranate juice. Topped with banana, goji berries, black berries, almonds, granola, and honey. Definitely one of my favorite bowls so far! I hear they’re working on expanding to Santa Barbara and Goleta, and I think that’ll be huge for Beach Bowls. With the right marketing, and maybe picking up the speed of their service, they could be big competition for some places in Santa Barbara.

First of all, I come from the East Coast where there’s absolutely no big hype on any type of health food, so this was like heaven on Earth for me. I felt so cultured into the California lifestyle upon walking into this place. The walls were so natural-looking and the floors were sparkling, clean, and glowing. The employees greeted my mom and I with big smiles on their faces and welcomed us to the beach bowl. I gazed at the menu, drooling over what I might order. I had never tried pitaya(dragon fruit) before, so the employee at the counter offered me a sample! I died a bit inside. It was sweet and delicious! I asked him what he would recommend I order since it was my first time trying an «Acai bowl.» He told me that the«beach bowl» is the most popular and good for starting out with. So I put all of my trust in him and went for the classic beach bowl! My mom ordered a piña colada after the employee told us that he doesn’t usually like coconut, but the pina coladas there are delicious. After just a short wait, our delicious meals were ready! My mom took a sip of her piña colada and was amazed. I tried it and we both agreed it was the most delicious piña colada we had ever tasted. Nothing artificial here. If you’re looking for sugary syrup-infused drinks, let me direct you to Starbucks cause this is not the place for that! This piña colada was the sweetest, most delicious and natural tasting ever! It was not a custard-like consistency, but nor was it slushy or thin like juice. It was perfect. My acai bowl was another story.(and a good one! :)) The granola had a perfect crunch and when you dip your spoon into each layer, from the fresh fruit to pitaya to bed of yogurt, your taste buds had a party. It was the greatest bowl of goodness I’ve ever had. And I ordered a small! I believe the price was $ 7.95 and I got a HUGE bowl. I was surprised I was able to finish it, but I am sure glad I did because every bite was one of heaven. The pitaya was just so sweet and delicious! Its hot pink color and little black seeds are so beautiful and just to die for! I’d highly recommend this place for anyone who enjoys fresh fruit and beach-style eating. This is my new favorite place.

Got the dr Feelgood bowl. Tastes healthy but more like a smoothy then a bowl. Need to add more fresh fruit on top. Would rather have less smoothy and more fruit. NEEDSMOREFRESHFRUITANDLESSGRANOLA.

Carpenteria is a funky little beach town and the perfect location for Beach Bowl. This building was constructed with reclaimed barn wood and up-cycled lighting. This socially responsible company also serves cold pressed juices, gluten free and organic foods and coffee. It is tiny and cute.
