Carpenteria was a good stop on a PCH road trip. On a cool, sunny Southern CA day — huge dog-friendly patio surrounded by greenery, very attentive servers; fluffy pancakes, scrambled eggs mixed with real corned beef, a unique blend of cheese and mushroom on a bagel and home fries with a lemon, peppery taste.

This may have just been the case because we’ve come around 11 or 11:30 but they’re always out of bagels. Seriously, both times they only had chocolate and one other option. Never just regular. But I do have to say the espresso was very good.

I love jacks but this is the second time I order something by phone and they get it wrong I’m the type of person that when I don’t like something I don’t wanna see it in my food at all and I don’t like onion at all and this two times they have put onion on my food and I don’t like to go back and claim for anything I know people that work there and they’re nice people I just hope next time I order they get it right

Always can count on my friend Jack to have a nice patio seat on the weekend for breakfast. They have a pretty standard breakfast menu that’s filling. I always get a bagel instead of toast with my meal(you have to when your at a bagel joint!). They have always provider great service and good standard breakfast fare for me to enjoy. The wait staff and busers are always on top of things and there is always someone around to flag if you need help. Thumbs up.

Been here for breakfast three times, before 10:00am. Each time they have run out beagles, except for everything began which in each case has been stale. Three strikes, you are out.

I just had a delightful quick breakfast on a busy Saturday morning! I was seated and served right away, and ordered a sesame bagel toasted with garlic herb cream cheese and a side of bacon. My dining companion always gets the 222 and loves it. Best bagel I’ve had in awhile! Good coffee too and the place has a really nice open and clean feeling. I will be back to try omelettes!

One of our favorite breakfast places after going to Reality church. My favorite is the breakfast burrito. The service is always good as well as the food. We like to sit outside and enjoy the great weather. Prices are reasonable as well. The only complaint is they tend to be out of bagels fairly early in the day. So I deducted a star since that is what their name says they are famous for.

Got the State Street with the sundried tomato bagel and garlic-herb cream cheese. I love the tomato, onion and lemon pepper on top! Service was fast and the outside dog-friendly patio is great! Bagels were a totally reasonable breakfast. Would definitely come back and try the one with the melted cheese and avocado.

6 months ago this place was on point. Now staff can’t keep up with the traffic. Since when are pancakes made smaller then Grandma’s cookies?! The works meal isn’t the works anymore. Potatoes weren’t even fully cooked. I should’ve known from the beginning when they brought us the utensils with a dirty used fork.

I would absolutely recommend Jack’s for a new comer to the Carpinteria area. starting with the service, the waiters are the friendliest people. My friends father who has been coming there for a while was greeted with a news paper and a cup of coffee upon arrival. They treated us exceptionally well. They got the food out as quick as they possibly could. the food was delicious. I had the Deluxe(Breakfast) Burrito which is scrambled eggs with avocado bacon and cheese inside of a flawless flour tortilla. I recommend getting that or something of the breakfast origin. You can’t go wrong everything there is delicious

Good selection I had a breakfast burrito was ok, not a lot of flavor, needs potatoes or some Pico de Gallo in the burrito to really pull it together, food was good and moderately priced, I would eat here again.

The food and service here are fantastic. Very attentive staff and very willing to substitute ingredients. Would recommend for anyone. Their curly fries with the salsa is the best.

What a great find! We come to town every summer, and love to find new places. This one is on the top of our list. The restaurant was busy, but we were still seated right away. The service was quick, and the food was really good. I really enjoyed the Montecito bagel and lox that they have. With a variety of dishes ordered, all of the food was great. Sil is an awesome waiter.

Great breakfasts and lunch! Lots of variety! Good portions! Best outdoor seating in town(except for Padaro Grill). There’s a play area for the kids which my two year old loves.

Best breakfast in Carpinteria!!! Omelette was superb. Bagel was toasted to perfection and the service was great. Excellent sidewalk seating with a quaint and casual atmosphere. Super relaxing!

This is the third time they’ve screwed up a simple bagel order. I’m not sure how strawberry cream cheese sounds appetizing on a garlic and onion bagel, common sense DUH. Time before this they mixed two different types of cream cheese on my bagel and didn’t either bother to wipe the damn spreading knife off.

When I came in we got seated quickly as there wasn’t many people there but it was a tues morning. Came before going into work with my brother and sister in law. I ordered the blackstone Benedict… Which has avocado and bacon with one of there famous bagels. It also came with fresh fruit for the side. The bagel wasn’t the best and the it wasn’t the best eggs Benedict I have had. The fresh fruit didn’t seem too fresh but still edible. The service was okay, just seem to go through routine and not so much connecting or happy with the customers. They were fast and made sure out waters were filled. If I had my family to come visit I wouldn’t take them here as I think there is other places in carpinteria that our much better for breakfast/brunch. As for me returning, I think I will give there lunch a try before I would recommend it to anyone.
