We had a guy named Bobby help us out. Horrible attitude. Very rude and actually snatched the money from my hand. Very unprofessional as much as I love Starbucks I won’t be returning to this one.

Drinks are fine, but oh my gosh, the service was so in need of good management. I went in on Sunday morning, there were at least ten people in line, several people waiting for their drinks, and only three people working the entire place. When I got to the register, I said«hi” – just got a glare from the guy taking the order. And unfortunately, not even a thank you after placing my order. Waited for 15 minutes to get an Americano.

Terribly rude. To me and the customer behind me. Traveling through, thank goodness this isn’t my normal go to Starbucks. Meh.

I come here about three times a week and order the same thing: chai latte. However, some of the baristas seem unable to make a proper chai latte. Apparently there are two ways to make chai latte: with and without water. The«with water» chais seem bland and tasteless. The milky«no water» chais are thick, spicy, and tasty. Even though I specify«no water» each time I visit, the baristas sometimes still give me the bland«water chais» and I have to return them.

Small inside, one long walk has Windows which takes up predominantly the whole store and makes the interior a bit warm. Staff is very personable and polite the way customer service should be. Service was quick and there were no lines for 10am. Seems like a locals spot lots of old folks hanging outside with their dogs. I like this location

Came here late on the drive home from NorCal. Employees were friendly and our drinks were made perfectly to order. Line went quickly and drinks were made quickly. Granted it was pretty late at night however some Starbucks are slow even with a short line but these baristas made our drinks quickly even though the line was short. Great job!

I have been to many Starbucks I have never had such rude service. We had just finished spending 45 dollars in drinks and they forgot to make one. While making the one they forgot a customer asked the barista how was it going and he replied would be better if I didn’t have to put people sugar in their coffee. I have always had baristas put my sugars in for me never a problem. They had no manager at that location working talked to a supervisor she said sorry he must have been having a bad day and she said but we do have sugar available. She was no help at all. That store number is 5621 don’t go to that location if your used to great service. Keep driving to the one inside of Von’s on linden. Sorry to say this Starbucks was the worst one I have ever experienced.

Some of the employees are very rude. No customer service skills. There are a few girls there that are very nice and cheerful. I wish they were all like that!

Horrible service. The manager needs to be fired. She was abusive and berating with her staff both Saturday and Sunday mornings. On Saturday, I stated that it was very hot. Her answer should have been, «let me adjust the temperature.» Instead, she said, «I know it is crazy.» Her employees tried to help but she was not managing properly. Almost passive-aggressive with her criticism. I suggest coffee bean up the block instead.

*** Pit stop review(Carpinteria) *** Time for the morning jolt of sugar and caffeine. I haven’t had this stuff in a while. The caramel frapachino is served as I remembered it. It is a little less slushy and more on the watery side, but that’s ok. The taste is consistent from one store to the next. Food = good Seating area = clean Service = friendly Restroom = needs to be cleaned

It is nice and clean, very friendly staff. It’s my pit stop on the way to dropping off my little sister to UCSB. Very nice to stop and relax after a long drive.

Used to live here and was a regular. On a trip I stopped in for coffee and it was great but boy the service here on this day was awful! The barista was obviously having a bad day(older blond woman) and gave me bad attitude for asking for a drink carrier. She went so far as to make snide remarks to another patron regarding MY choice of sweetener: «so glad YOU don’t use that stuff, it’s so bad for you»! I’m surprised a scientist works part time as a barista,

This location blows. Customer service was god awful. Everyone working there seemed like they hated their job. Maybe I just came at the wrong time of day(11 am) but I shant be returning ever again.

I love the friendly baristas at this location! There isn’t a lot of room for socializing here though– it is a grab and go spot for sure.

They work hard and are very nice here. The ladies are lovely. There are some«character» customers, but they aren’t troublesome. I tried the«new» pastry… raspberry donut, and it was fine. It’s my «home» Starbuck’s and I like it.

Update June 22: Today I received an email from Arlene in response to the complaint I had submitted. She acknowledged that the service I received was far from satisfactory and informed me that she had already arranged to have two vouchers, good for any drink of any size, mailed to me within the next week or so. I am very happy that she acknowledged this, so I feel I can add another star to my rating. My experience: On the way home from a camping trip in Santa Barbara, my friends and I made a last-minute decision to go to Starbucks for some mid-afternoon coffee. We each ordered a 16-oz drink, and somehow this Starbucks managed to create problems with two of them. The first drink we ordered was a green tea frappuccino. After I paid for the drinks, the barista who was responsible for making them told us that they were running low and wouldn’t have enough to fill the entire cup. And she was right: Even with a generous amount of whip cream and a flat lid, the drink was only about 80% full. If we had ordered the size below that, it would have been fine. Fortunately, there were no issues with the second drink. But then came time for the third drink, which was mine. It was supposed to be an orange smoothie. The barista loudly told me from the other side of the counter that they were missing one of the key ingredients, so she offered a choice of two alternative smoothies instead. I chose the chocolate flavored smoothie, thinking it would be an excellent alternative, but after receiving my drink – which was also served about 80% full – I was quickly proven wrong as all I could taste in the drink was the banana that they had left in the blender for my original order. Whatever the appeal of that drink was supposed to be, I never saw it. I work in a restaurant, so I understand that supplies run short once in awhile, and rarely will that situation garner much sympathy from customers. It happens even to the best restaurants, so I couldn’t bring myself to hold that against them even if I tried. However, some communication on their part would have saved us so much grief, starting with that they could have told us they were short on the drinks we ordered *before* they took my credit card. Even if they hadn’t known about it beforehand, the least they could have done was apologized for the inconvenience or offered some form of compensation, but they even didn’t do that, either. The cashier literally stood there at the register and did nothing about it, aside from mumbling something about the first drink, while the barista simply made our drinks and moved on to the next order. No apology, no offer to give some sort of refund, nothing. I find that service completely unacceptable.

I’m writing a review and a little tidbit from the review prior to mine. This location is wonderful. The crew here is always so nice and helpful and all the drinks are wonderful. Lots of parking and easy on and off access to the freeway. By the way, Carpinteria has TWO Starbucks… The other location is located in the Vons grocery store located on Linden Avenue. Check them both out, you get excellent service at both locations
