Well, the food itself is fine. Problem is, we ordered a torta, burrito, and taco to go but only received a torta and taco. Unfortunately, we walked a mile home before opening our to go bag to realize they left a huge part of the order out: the burrito. Overall, the food is good, but make sure they’re paying attention to your order! The kid who took our order was on his phone up until we walked to the window and then immediately got back on his phone after we placed our order. When they handed us our order, they did not confirm what it was and we(stupidly) walked away assuming they got the order correct. Bottom line: good food but make sure they give you everything you paid for.

I think Tacos Ramirez serves the best tacos in Carrboro/CH. Their meats are tasty, their condiments are fresh and the salsa are brightly flavored. I like that they include grilled onion and grilled cactus paddle with each order. Sometimes the lines are long, but I think the wait is worth it. If you see a line, you can always come back later or you could stake the place out from the Speakeasy and head over when the line is short!

I really liked this taco truck until I asked for a aluminum foil or a plate to get some pickled veggies to go and the owner refused to give me anything. They should get some customer service training.

Be prepared for a long wait, 45 min. for tacos, but I have to say, it was so worth it for two meaty bundles of deliciousness! I got carnitas and barbacoa tacos made to order and they were topped with cilantro, onions, and radishes on the side. Their red sauce was super hot and the milder but still spicy green tomatillo sauce had a nice smoky flavor. They had other things on their menu too– flautas, burritos, tortas, etc. This was a random find since I was in Carrboro for an event at the Century Center and saw several families in line and waiting in their cars by this food truck. There was a foldout table and chairs next to the truck if you want to eat there. I’m so glad I stopped by and am definitely going back!

I’m a gal without a consistent life schedule, and I like the spontaneity. BUT I can always count on Tacos Ramirez on that corner in Carrboro every Friday and Saturday night. I was having a really bad night after work, and thought, «I deserve some damn tacos.» I perused the menu, and it didn’t have the prices. Which isn’t a big deal except that it was raining that night, and I did not want to run back to my car to get more money if I needed it. Thankfully I didn’t! Because my 3 tacos were less than $ 7!!! There are sauces, limes, and utensils on a table beside the truck, and the food comes nicely wrapped togo. I got home, unveiled the foil wrap, and my eyes were so happy. The tacos are FILLED with your meat of choice, and it also comes with grilled onions and something else: it was green, not peppers, slightly slimey, and pickly in taste – might’ve been cactus? I have no clue, but it was yummy nonetheless. I got 1 chicken and 2 carnitas tacos. The meats were just a teeny bit dry, but the lime and hot sauce made up for it. Tacos Ramirez is one of my favorite things about Carrboro. Don’t ever leave that corner please!

This is, hands-down, the BEST taco truck in Carrboro. It is in front of the Wendy’s(near Tyler’s Taproom/Speakeasy) every Friday and Saturday 6PM-2AM. They have a large selection of products, as well as meats for each product. Everything is made to order(which makes waiting times a bit long sometimes, but sooooo worth it!), warm and delicious. They also provide some chairs and tables, which are nice to sit on on nice cool nights, but the noise of the truck kind of takes away the ambiance of the tables. However, this is a taco truck, so I don’t really think they should be penalized for a loud sitting area, considering it’s nice they provide a seating area at all… The food is amazing(my personal favorite are the campechano tacos, which have asada and chorizo mixed together and are simply amazing). However, I have also tried their flautas(chicken only, but also amazing), their quesadillas(HUGE and very good), their gorditas(quite good, though I’m not a fan of refried beans), and their tortas(also HUGE and filling). I honestly think there is nothing here you could order and dislike. Everything is reasonably priced, considering the heaping fillings they put in everything! My only complaint would be the horchata(I think it’s too cinnamon-y), but I’m not a huge horchata fan to begin with, so I didn’t deduct a star for that. DEFINITELY make a point to visit here… you won’t want to try any other taco truck in Carrboro/Chapel Hill.

I’m from LA, the land of sunshine and awesome taco trucks. So when I moved here, I was just dying to find a taco truck to satisfy my cravings. My buddy found this place, and we decided to give it a shot. The tacos range from $ 2 to $ 2.25, and the burritos are about $ 6. This seemed rather expensive to me, since I am more accustomed to the $ 1 tacos and $ 4.50 burritos from LA. However, their portions were significantly larger, and they gave a generous helping of meat for each taco, so I felt that it wasn’t too unreasonable. They give their tacos with a side of cut radishes(which complement the tacos extremely well) and a slab of grilled cactus. Personally, I found the green cactus atrocious, and tossed it after one bite. Aside from that, this place is a great find, with all of the traditional taco meats(including the infamous lengua: tongue and tripa: intestine. these are $ 0.50 more!), along with some other meats I’ve never heard of. Pretty much what I was looking for, and since I can’t seem to find another place anywhere near here, I upgraded my 3 stars to a 4 star. Will be back here soon! David’s VPP(Value per price): 6⁄10

Try any of the tacos. They are all excellent. This is currently the best taco truck in the Chapel Hill/Carrboro area, the fillings are very well spiced and the veggies you get with every taco are superb. Ever tried cactus on a taco? At Tacos Ramirez, you’ll get grilled onions, cactus, and fresh radishes as side veggies for any taco you order. Each taco is a very generous portion of very flavorful, juicy meat, My favorites are their chorizo tacos and the horchata. They are amazing. You won’t be disappointed. They are open(at least) Friday-Saturday 6:30PM-late.

TACOS! Tacos Ramirez is a Taco Truck. They also have burritos. They’re open late at night. You eat those burritos and they are yummy! HUZZAH! This is pretty much all I have to say. It’s a taco truck near Wendy’s sometimes.
