Really good first experience here. For reference, our favorite local Thai has been Red Curry Thai down the road for a while, so I’ll make some comparisons to that. First, like Red Curry, this place is BYOB. Score. One of my favorite things a restaurant can bring to the table. If I can bring a nice beer I paid $ 1.50 for vs paying you $ 4 – 6 for, I like you and your fine establishment. Also like Red Curry, this is located in a strip mall. Not the nicest-looking places surrounding, but who cares. Next, no TV. Red Curry has a great ambiance which is pretty much ruined by a big TV in the middle of the room. It doesn’t jive. And they ignore me if I ask if they can turn it off, even if we’re literally the only ones in there. This place didn’t do that and they have nice, modern, minimalist decorations and ambiance. Not«Thai» looking at all, unlike Red Curry, but it works. My knock against this place’s ambiance? The music. It suuuuucked. I tuned it out for the most part, but it was annoying for sure. Think club music, including some rap. Totally didn’t fit with«Thai restaurant vibe» for me. But they’re clearly going for trendy and maybe everyone else loves it — I dunno. Next, service! Better than Red Curry. Hands down. Service was great. Aoy(pronounced«oy») took great care of us with a winning smile the whole time. Service used to be better at Red Curry but went down a notch after the older woman took the place of the younger one. We liked Aoy and would seek her out again for sure. Then — food! All in all, very good. Red Curry has my golden standard of chicken satay, which we always start out with, and this place couldn’t match it. It was good chicken satay, but not great. Big pieces of chicken and good peanut sauce for dipping, but the chicken itself could use more flavor and seasoning. I had the cashew chicken stir fry for dinner, which was excellent, and my wife has pad Thai, which she liked very much. My medium /3 spicy was perfect. Service, BYOB, no misplaced TV — excellent. Food — meals excellent, satay good. Music — needs a lobotomy. Cost — either the same or $ 1 more per plate than what we’re used to(Red Curry). Solid 4 stars. We’ll be back. But I do hope they change the music up.

Great intimate restaurant right off Old Denton! Our service was excellent and my chicken pad thai was bomb. I asked for it 4⁄5 spicy on the spiciness scale, and it was lovely. The tables are close together, which I’m completely fine with. The couple next to us was on a first date and had an interesting conversation about a C.S. Lewis book I’m not familiar with. For 35 minutes they discussed themes and controversies surrounding the books’ characters. Homeboy must have mad game because I could never pull that conversation off on a first date. I hope he got a second date. All in all, I loved my experience here. I should probably stop eavesdropping though.

The food was delicious. There is no denying that. But the main thing that I had a hard time dealing with was the service we received. It took more than 10 mins before the server even address us or asked for drink orders. We had to flag down another server a few times to get things because our server was no where to be found. Customer service is the main thing that will decide whether or not a person will return or not. Unfortunately as amazing as the food was I will not return due to the service.

One of our«go to» restaurants for lunch. Large lunch menu with great prices. All meals can be ordered with your own spicy preference. 1 — 5 spicy level. I always get level 3& its just right for me. Every single thing I have ordered from here is AMAZING!!!

Tried the pad kee mao. Wasn’t too bad, but I’ve had better. Flavors were sort of bland. I may be back, but to try a different dish.

Love this place! The food is always fresh and the service is great! I have eaten here at least 3 – 4 times; and when I don’t eat in I order it to-go. The to-go quality is just as good as when you dine in. I have brought my friends and family here, and have encouraged many other go check it out!

Foot was delicious. Service, not so much. However, food means so little to me overall because I can make myself delicious food. I go out for the experience and when I came here, all the way from Chicago, they were rude. I came with my girlfriend and her friends who have come here all the time for many years and been satisfied, but when I came, they bothered us constantly telling us to stop talking. We were a group, and I admit at times it was a little loud, but we did our best. We looked around and nobody else seemed to mind. Also, there were 5 other people inside at the time. Not to mention a group of high school girls who were just as loud who weren’t bothered. Very rude and distasteful. Later, my girlfriend came again when I was not there and her cousin forgot to mark the tip down by the time the server came to collect the checks. It’s not like they left yet! Nonetheless you should never ask for a tip but the sever seemed to have an issue with that. From what I’ve been told the server is new, maybe they should replace her because I won’t want to go back somewhere rude like that, and neither will the group who has been coming for many, many years now. What a disappointment. Finally, if you look on Unilocal reviews, they had someone reply to the reviews, which I can appreciate. Most businesses however will try to make you come back by apologizing or something. From what I have read from the replies on any poor review, they make excuses, not results. She criticizes without knowing the full story saying that people are disturbing when the same people have attended for years without a problem. All in all, the experience was tainted for me, and therefore I could not recommend this place. UPDATE: So after posting this review, the manager deleted her original comment on the other post and posted on mine. I find it interesting that there was a need to hide her original words. Also, she continued to explain how others complained about noise and how the waitress was just attempting to ensure high quality by asking about the tip. As mentioned before, more excuses, no accepting responsibility. She was not there but somehow she’s making excuses for a waitress yelling at a customer about a tip mistake. Interesting. Needless to say, accepting responsibility and apologizing would have made me change me review, however, after the continued shady behavior on the part of management, I will continue to stand by my review of them.

Yummy! I love this place! Chili Thai has great food and really good service. I go here often for lunch and they have never been packed busy so the service is relatively quick. I order either the pad Thai or the panang curry, and both are excellent. The chicken is tender and the flavoring in both dishes is spot on. For lunch, they serve their dishes with a small salad or cup of soup, and I always pick the soup. It’s usually tom yum or tom kha, and both are great. They have another location down towards Irving and it was always really good too.

Good food, maybe slightly pricier than we’re used to for Thai food. Atmosphere and service were just okay, but the biggest drawback was the canned sodas. We like good fountain drinks. And as silly as that sounds, that’s enough to make us choose somewhere else for dine-in Thai.

First time here and I loved it! I had the shrimp pad Thai, level 4 spicy and it was delicious. I placed my order to go and it was ready in about 10 minutes! I also love the fact that’s it’s BYOB

Love this place. I usually order for pick-up, but the service is good. They love their regulars and know their orders. The food is amazing and many combinations for one dish. They can change the spiciness and the protein. They have many vegan and vegetarian dishes, which is really hard to find in Carrollton. I recommend the yellow curry, it is addicting and I have it at least 2 times a week. But I do recommend to buy the regular portion instead of the lunch portion, which might be too small for big eaters.

Every time I come in here the women are so nice, they will remember who you are even after a couple of visits. They offer a great lunch special that is a pretty nice portion at a good price .I Always get the curry, 3 Medium, which is actually a perfect amount of heat. The curry is always so flavorful and they present it very beautifully.

There is nothing great about this place. I googled on Unilocal and this place came up. After reading the reviews, we decided to give this place a try. Big mistake. We ordered the Bikini shrimp appetizer and it stunk so bad. We had to send it back. For entrée we ordered drunken noodles, thai fried rice and shrimp with red curry sauce. The chicken in the fried rice smelled so bad that I had to spit it out. The fried rice were dry and seemed old. The shrimp were bland and had tails on. The drunken noodles were so-so and probably the only thing edible on the table. The customer service was awful. I had to pay half price for the stinky, rotten food we had sent back. I can’t see a reason to want to come back or why it has four stars. It could very well be because we went on a Monday.

After doing some moving to get my aunt into her new place, I turned to Unilocal to find us some decent dinner nearby. I came across Chilli Thai and read great reviews, so we decided to go for it. The lady on the phone was nice. We ended up ordering Basil Shrimp, Chicken Pad Thai and Chicken Spring Rolls. The order was ready quickly and they gave us some takeout dishes since we hadn’t unpacked hers yet. The food was a little on the pricier side. We dug right in to the spring rolls as soon as we got back to the house. They were good! The shrimp still had tails on, which is sort of a fail for me… but overall the meal was ok. There didn’t seem to be much chicken in the pad thai. I was disappointed since the reviews were so good, and we really wanted to find a great new place. Ah well. maybe next time!

We really enjoy ordering from Chili Thai — their restaurant is clean, food is delicious, and their staff are always friendly and accurate. Wish they’d deliver though…

This place is very quick and accommodating, which makes me happy. They will easily make most dishes gluten free. They also have many vegetarian choices and have brown rice as a healthy alternative to white rice. I ordered the yellow pineapple tofu curry, which cost me about $ 13 for a large enough portion size that would feed 2 people(unless you’re REALLY hungry). Not the absolute best I’ve had, but this place is convenient and friendly! Loved the fresh ingredients and variety(potato, bell pepper and onion, sweet potato).

I come here all the time. Definitely one of the best Thai foods I’ve ever had. My favorite and most go-to food is the Drunken Noodles, chicken, level 2. Other favorites include Pad Thai, Basil Fried Rice, and Curry Noodle. I always add chicken and my spice level changes between level 2 or 3. Update: Recently I came here and a new waitress works here. She was so rude and told us we weren’t allowed to laugh. It made us feel like we couldn’t enjoy our meal. Another time after that, we paid and one of our friends didn’t leave a tip and she asked, «where is my tip?» She gave us attitude and walked away. He left a blank on the tip section on ACCIDENT because the receipt was taken before he was even done with it. Yes it was his mistake but she should never ever ever ask for a tip. She could have said you forgot to finish filling the receipt out, because the entire receipt was blank. Unbelievable. Been eating here for a few years now but have never encountered a waiter like this, therefore, my review went from a 5 star to 3 star.

My first time here because my friends usually like to meet around Old Denton to eat. Food: –I got the drunken noodles because that is usually always my order wherever Thai place I go to. I’ve had better but it was still good! IF I ever come here again, I will probably stick with my regular order of the drunken noodles. I got the 5 spiciness level(5 being the hottest) and if I come back, I might get the 4 because their scale is spicier than others. Don’t get me wrong, I love spicy but not to the point where I can’t enjoy my food. –I like how my plate came with an egg roll! Service: –Not sure how the organization works with the staff but we had two people helping our table. One guy who was our waiter from beginning to end and another girl who kept asking if we needed help after our waiter had already taken care of us. Maybe she was just trying to be nice and of good service but it made us laugh because she would literally ask moments after our waiter helped us. –Our waiter was nice and prompt. Thank you! Ambiance: –I honestly didn’t take a look around too much at the place because I was kind of rushing when I got there(I was the late one, oops!) and facing the windows(back to the restaurant) but it seemed to have lots of customers which is usually a good sign of good food and service. –Like I said, didn’t get to get a full feel for the place but didn’t feel anything off about it so I’d say everything was A-OK :) Final thoughts: –I probably wouldn’t come back here because I know of better Thai places but because it was in the middle for all my friends to meet and I was craving Thai, we stumbled upon here. It was a good visit but just not sure if I would select this place again out of a crave.

Lunch specials are only $ 7.50!!! And that includes an entrée and a soup or salad, which is a more-than-amazing deal. I ordered the mussamun curry and got the soup of the day which was coconut chicken. The coconut chicken soup was so delicious, kind of sweet and sour at the same time but not super spicy. The mussamun curry was good too, and I thought the presentation was cute. The only thing I would complain about is that they don’t include enough rice to balance out the amount of curry they gave me, but I was full at the end and still had leftovers. The restaurant itself is very modern looking. It doesn’t look very impressive from the outside(it’s right next to a gas station), but the inside is nicely decorated with polished concrete floors, high ceilings, and a red and black motif. I went during lunch and there were only 4 other tables being served, so there is no wait for a quick lunch. My severs were very attentive because it’s such a small restaurant, and they were very fast. I would come here again if I go back to the Carrollton area.

Really loved this place. I ordered the tiger eye which was a chef special and it was yummy(beef tenderloin with a spicy dipping sauce) Hubby went for the drunken noodles(pad ke mow) and they tasted different from other Thai places. Better in my opinion with lots flavor and a really good spice(we ordered level 3 and that was plenty spicy enough to create a running nose!) We were both very happy with our food. Even the shrimp tempura was delicious which we started with, soft and fluffy and piping hot! The décor is pretty basic for a strip mall Thai place but service was great. Very attentive and friendly. They are byob too which I need to remember for my next visit and believe me I will be back. I am always seeking out good Thai and this place ticks all those boxes.
