I decided to try this café after reading the reviews on Unilocal. First impression: beautiful décor, spacious, well made food and a very gracious owner. I was able to order two adult meals and easily share portions with my children, ages 10&11. We ordered omelettes with hash browns & pancakes. Everything was delicious & food was delivered promptly. I had a very nice visit with the owner, who stopped at each table to check on guests. That was impressive. Prices were reasonable for portion size. The three of us ate lunch for $ 22(including my coffee). Restrooms were clean & easy to enter. The owner informed me they also provide free wifi for guests. This would be ideal for students, or business lunch meetings. If I wanted to be picky, the only thing I didn’t enjoy about the experience was that our drinks should have have been refilled more often & I was missing a silverware set. Otherwise, it was pleasant. I will be eating here again, I recommend it highly.

This place is «okay». I wouldn’t recommend or tell someone not to go here. The staff is friendly and you can tell they really do try to put out a good product, but it’s just not amazing. Pancakes have a strange aftertaste but I’m super sensitive to bleached flour, so this might be the case. Crepes are a little bland but the fruit is fresh. Eggs are overly cooked, as others have stated. I would go back if someone else were wanting to try it but I can’t see myself craving it.

Ok considering the other breakfast places around this area, you get a lot of food for what you pay and will not go home hungry. If you are I am sure if you complained to the owner he would make sure you leave satisfied but, this is not going to happen given the pure quantity of food they are serving here. I was pleased with the pancakes which came out and were pretty darn good, but was a bit dissatisfied with the main entrée I got being the chicken fried chicken eggs and hashbrown. The chicken was smaller than I would have expected but I also don’t think it’s cooked from scratch so the balancing item on the dish was the quantity of eggs and hashbrowns. Overall this place is good if you just want to get stuffed and want a fair value, keep in mind it’s still new and the service is a bit slow or the wait staff just has not an idea what they are doing. Hopefully this will pick up and get better as it gains more traction and business.

I’ve been trying to find a good breakfast place in the area since we’ve moved up here. A lot of fairly average places, but nothing that really stuck out. Well, we finally found our place in this little café! Great service, great food, and a huge menu! Anything from the traditional egg breakfast, to beautiful crepes and waffles. And the gravy! So good. The owners are really wonderful as well. So glad we found this gem.

We have eaten here more than 10 times. The owners name is Meff. You will see him all over the restaurant doing whatever is needed. Very nice guy and treats people with a lot of love and respect. Best thing on the menu is the biscuit and gravy omelet.

The Eggsellent Café holds up to its name! It really was excellent. The food tasted fresh and not greasy like most breakfast joints. The atmosphere was pleasant and homey, and the service was spot on. Especially the gentleman that greets you at the front(possibly the owner?) was super welcoming and wanted to make you feel at home. I would definitely recommend this as your go-to breakfast stop. Very family friendly.

Rating this place 2 stars because my best friend and I got sick from this place. I would’ve rated this place a 1 star but the host was extremely friendly and welcoming. So the two stars come from the environment which was nicely decorated with the smell of coffee throughout the place and the host. I ordered the«Cowboy Omelet» which had bacon, ham, sausage and cheddar cheese. I also got a side of hash browns and toast. My best friend ordered the«Chicken Fried Steak» and I tried some of it. It was decent, tasted a bit dry, but the gravy helped with that. We believe that we both probably got sick from the hash browns because they tasted funny. Our waitress was rushing us to give her our order. She came around 3 times before we could order and that was because we were adding sugar and cream to our coffee. It was also our first time here so I’m not sure why she was rushing us. We felt that she kind of forgot about us after she gave us our bill. We weren’t sure if we were suppose to pay at the table or not. So we waited around to see if she would come back, she didn’t. We went to the gentleman(the host) who seated us and he told us that that was where we had to pay. It would’ve been nice to have direction about that. Hate to rate this place with 2 stars, but I’m being extremely generous because this place deserves only 1 star. I don’t trust this place, so I doubt I’ll be back again, sorry.

This was our 1st time here and we will be back! Servers and owner were super pleasant and attentive. Food was great and the presentation was also excellent. The menu has so many options that I can’t wait to come back and try other items! I had the steak & eggs, usually when I order that at most other places(mostly chains) they don’t cook my steak right but they did here which always makes your meal more enjoyable when they get it right. My daughter had french toast with strawberries and was also happy that fresh strawberries are used instead of the syrupy preserves some places use. I don’t review places often but we walked out so happy that I had to spread the word so this place stays open & sticks around!

This is a great little breakfast spot right around the corner from me. Huge breakfast/lunch menu. The place is small so on a busy day there is limited seating. But Isn’t that usually the case for all good places? I went New Year’s Day about 10:30am and they were busy. Every table was taken. But it was only a 5 minute wait for one to open up. Very glad we waited, I’ve been hearing about this place and wanted to check it out. Our waiter was friendly seemed new but he did just fine with our table. A little unsure of himself with the larger table next to us. As soon as we were seated a waitress promptly came over to offer coffee, the cups are already on the table. Since we don’t drink coffee and we had a small two person table I politely asked if the coffee mugs and creamer could be taken to give us more room. Our drink orders were taken shortly after that. Quicker refill of the water would be my only comment. I ordered an egg white omelette(not listed on the menu) but the waiter said they make them and there is no extra charge. The Omelettes are served with grits or hash browns, toast or pancakes. My daughter ordered the Traditional — 2 eggs a meat(sausage patties, bacon, grilled ham or chicken apple sausage) and it also came with grits or hash browns, toast or pancakes. That’s a lot of food. It was served quickly and everything was hot and fresh. The egg white omelette needed some seasoning but that’s just the egg whites fault(super bland). A sprinkle of pepper did the trick. The Eggs were cooked to a prefect over easy consistency. Pancakes are just the right size to compliment the meal, butter and warm syrup served on the side. We ordered the hash browns and bacon crispy, the bacon was perfect and the hash browns could have been cooked a little more but that didn’t stop us from devouring them. The host must have been the owner, he was very personable and quick to put us on the short waiting list. He was also walking from table to table asking everyone how their meals were. Plus he worked the register. When asked he said they had been open 6 weeks. The fruit crepes at the next table looked delicious and the whole lunch menu was very enticing. We will definitely be back soon to try lunch.

They are hitting on all cylinders — food, décor and service. I hope they keep this up. Carrollton is very appreciative when we find a hidden gem to call our own.

Found a gem here in North Carrollton. The menu is plentiful and varied. The Crepes were wonderful! My husband had the Cinnamon Bread French Toast Combo and really enjoyed it. One of the best parts of this restaurant is the staff and owner. Meff, the owner, is personable and charming and our waitress was attentive and gracious. We will definitely be frequent customers here.

Noticed this new breakfast and lunch restaurant opened up about a month ago. Daughter and I are finally getting around to trying it out! We came on a Tuesday weekday morning and about ¼ way full which is good for this day/time/location. The menu has massive options for both breakfast and lunch. Traditional, healthy and some tasty new ones! Would love to see a few veg options for the true non meat and non egg eaters. Otherwise it’s fantastic! They have free wifi! Ask for the code. I don’t drink coffee right now so no review in that. Hot tea selection is decent. They have crepes! This place is right by sylvan and Kroger across Hebron from kohls for those that use landmarks. Get your grub on before and after shopping! I’m super excited to have this place in our hood!

I came here for breakfast during the first week they opened. There were only 2 other groups there, but they have plenty of tables inside. My main issue is the fact that they were/are brand new and the waitress was rushing us to order. She checked on us after 3 minutes of giving us our menus, and kept coming back every couple minutes. We finally ordered after the 4th time. I loved the bananas fosters pancakes that I ordered– perfectly fluffy and not too sweet! I tried one of their omelettes, and I thought it had a nice taste but could’ve used more toppings for the amount of egg they use. All-in-all I enjoyed the food, but there are definitely a few things they could improve on(syrup is too runny, bacon is too chewy/raw, and hash browns are undercooked). Also the service needs improvement. I’ll also mention that more than half of the reviews for this place seem fake. Trying to get customers into your restraint based on fake reviews is not a good start.

This place knows how to do Eggs Benedict! I had the avocado version and it was perfectly cooked! The husband had the Very Berry Crepes and he loved them. The owner and staff were extremely friendly and the service was impeccable. This place has just become our new local go to for breakfast!

First time ordering here. My scrambled eggs were overcooked, my chicken sausage undercooked and my wife’s egg white omelette was made with regular eggs. Whoever packed my to-go order placed the biscuits and gravy upside down. Overall the meal wasn’t horrible but definitely not a good first experience.

They quietly opened two days ago and they’ve got a potential goldmine here! Open for breakfast and lunch only. The food is amazing and well priced. Bacon was perfectly cooked. «Banana Nutella crepes are to die for» says my 11yr old pancake queen. The owners are from the greater Chicago area, where they know how to do breakfast right and Meff(the owner) is super nice.
