A very nice bakery and boba tea space in the H Mart greets customers who might need a little refreshment befire or after shopping! :) They serve delicious smooth boba drinks and interesting baked goods here — but we come here most often for freshly made rice batons for Korean stir fries and stews. The Escape bakery has a variety of interesting things to buy — gooey pumpkin bar cakes with gooey mochi filling and a sprinkling of pepitas were exotic, not too sweet, and not too heavy. For our boba lover, the coconut boba tea is outstanding because unlike other places theirs tastes like toasted coconut, not plain coconut. The toasty flavor is not overwhelming — it’s so YUM!

Got the avocado shake and taro milk tea. Both were terrible. We were with my boyfriends parents and they parked so we could go in to get our bubble tea fix. We saw them pulling around and had to make a quick decision on which one tasted worse so we could toss it(we didn’t want them to think we were wasteful). It was THAT bad…

Believe it or not, this is one of the better boba tea places. It’s located in H-Mart’s food court. My favorites are their fruity teas without milk. They are not too sweet and the boba is soft and chewy.

Their milk tea was a-ok. But their rice cake is to die for!!! So addicting. Everything tastes good. I feel price is higher than what I used to pay in Los Angeles but their taste is thousand times better.

I really love their milk tea, I dont know about their other milk tea but I always get the traditional milk tea and it is the best!!! I also, tried their mango boba with jelly and it was also very good, they put purée mango in their boba so it tasted so good unlike other boba shops that used powder. Prices are a bit cheaper and they also has many baked goods but I havent try them because they dont look good to me, but I will go here for boba any day.

Their milk tea & strawberry juice w/lychee jelly is really good. Lines move quickly. Looks like young college or high school girls work here for the most part. They have baked good as well, but I’ve never tried it. I always get the strawberry juice w/lychee jelly when I go to H Mart.

Wanted to give this place a chance since we were eating at the nearby restaurants in the plaza. I had a milk tea from a nearby store and wanted to compare the two places since it’s a trek to drive from Lake Worth to Carrolton. Yuck! For a place given 3.5 stars, I figured it’d be decent. I got the honey milk tea less ice and the lover got the watermelon black tea. I didn’t expect the watermelon tea to taste good anyways since it was an unusual combination, and it sure wasn’t lol. However, I feel like it’s kinda hard to mess up milk tea. This place managed to screw it up. I put my milk tea in the fridge so that I could drink it the day after and I felt like I was drinking water and honey. No trace of tea or milk whatsoever. On top of that, I got an excruciating stomachache the next day after drinking it :( The milk tea at the porridge place next to H-mart(Charm Juk) tastes 10x better!

Avocado smoothie with tapioca is my go-to drink. It’s sort of like the litmus test for places I haven’t been before, so that’s what I bought from here yesterday. It didn’t have a rich avocado taste. In fact, it was sort of bland(although sweet) and weird. And I found the texture to be very odd, gritty even. I suspect they freeze their avocados to increase shelf life, but my smoothie was not smooth. Definitely not worth $ 4.50(tax included) for a size small.

One of my favorite snack shops to go! This location is in H-MART right in the corner. You just come in and see it which is good. Whenever I go shopping grocery there, I always get their red bean Mochi and chest nut butter cookies. Don’t ask me about bubble tea. I had just one, actually I tried a lychee milk tea my friend got. It tasted weird, like powdery, and I would never ever try their drinks to be honest. However, they have the best Korean snacks ever. I will definitely try their rice cakes some time. Service was just fine. A little pricey for snacks though.

One of the three locations located in Carrollton. This location is located inside of Hmart and also sells a variety of rice cakes and snacks. Pretty hard for me not to buy a drink from this place when I stop by hmart, because they have punch cards! Have tried their avocado smoothie, green tea smoothie, and honey milk tea and all are good. They do seem to be stingy with the amount of tapioca they give…

At first sip, my Black Milk Tea(BMT) was fine and dandy. A little sweet for my preference but the tea flavor was strong and the milk wasn’t overwhelming. BUTTHENTHETERRIBLESTOMACHACHESTARTED. My friends like to tease me and tell me that I’m sensitive, weak sauce, girly etc. but I’m not joking when I say it was causing some serious abdominal pain. I only finished about half my cup before I realized that something wasn’t right and had to chuck the rest. Not a great first experience Escape. I’m suspecting that the milk/half and half wasn’t refrigerated properly like always. Definitely not something I would recommend. There is even a $ 5 minimum charge if you’re planning on paying with a credit card. Otherwise service was good.

Escape’s original milk tea deserves a 5-star rating. It is literally THEBEST milk tea in the DFW area(& trust me, I’ve tried practically all of them). It’s consistently perfect: sweet not too sweet, milky, & smooth. If you’re ever shopping in H-Mart, you DEFINITELY need to try that out. Make sure you have cash though because the minimum for using a card is $ 5. As for their bakery goods, I’ve had a few of them. I’ve had better honestly. My favorite Korean bakery goods are these chestnut butter cookies(not sure exactly what their called). Escape has them but they’re made a lot harder than the ones I’m used to eating. I’ve also tried Escape’s mochi, a glutinous rice cake filled with red bean paste, & I think they could be better. It wasn’t as flavorful as I believe it should be. Overall, it’s a good bakery. If you want to try it though, remember to go for the milk tea.

I’m surprised by reviews! After many disappointing drinks from other boba/tea shops I had high hopes. My reviews: Jasmine milk tea not great but at least it tastes like there’s tea in there. More creamy than watery. Taro milk tea is gross. The powder is overwhelming and the artificial purple color is scary. Coffee jelly are like hard gummy bears. Pudding is grainy and not good. Service was ok except for this blonde girl that jumped in to help us when the older Asian lady couldn’t understand me. The girl was very friendly. Overall– wont be coming back here when I visit.

To be honest, the milk tea here has nothing special. It has the milk powder taste and no tea taste at all. The bubble/pearl has no sweet flavor. Disappointed :(

Escape is located right inside the entrance of HMart. Had a small taro milk tea with boba and it hit the spot. Love that they don’t overfill it with ice. The taro flavor was good but not too strong. It could have used more boba, though; I ran out before I realized it so my last few sips were all tea, no boba. Great little refreshment to have while wading through the Sunday shopping crowd! $ 5 credit card minimum.

Escape Café, perfectly situated right inside the front entrance of Hmart, always temps me when I waltz in to do my weekly shopping. The rice cakes and other snacks neatly arranged on the counter beckon, but what really calls out to me are their pearl milk teas. To sum it up in one word: consistentlygood. Decent pearls, good flavors, and good prices.
