A rustic modern shop that has it all from great customer service, ambiance, and food/drinks. I have come several times to work and snack and socialize and snack. Who says you can’t have your cake and easy it too?! Well technically it would be a waffle. Who freaking cares? On the latest visit, we had the chocolate raspberry waffle which was simply delicious and the mocha latte was nice too. It’s a must have repeat when I’m in the area.

Hands down best place to study or work on your laptop in Plano/Carrolton area. The interior style is so refreshing and industrial, I love the energy. The service is great and the people who work here are VERY nice. The food is phenomenal. I had the Croque Madame, and the blueberry waffle along with a hot Thai tea. I make my own Thai tea majority of the time and drink it cold but when the lady at the register asked me if I wanted it hot or cold, I thought«why not?!» and got it hot. DELICIOUS outcome. Exactly what I was in search for. Will definitely be coming back & often!

I REALLY wanted to love this place… the interior is so cute and well decorated, there is tons of open seating, outlet plugs are aplenty, It just seemed like the perfect place to have a snack or coffee and study with friends. HOWEVER, it is very overpriced. I ordered a breakfast set meal plus a milk tea, and it came out to be $ 18! That is the most I have ever spent on a meal and a drink at any Korean café. If I’m spending that much, it better be good right? Unfortunately, it was the total opposite. The breakfast set consisted of a yogurt with berry syrup/pieces, a plain waffle, 2 pieces of honey toast, a salad, and an egg baked with spinach/cheese. The best part and the only part I enjoyed about it was the waffle– it was sweet and crunchy and if I ever come back to Caffebene I will only order the waffle. The honey toast was awful and dry, the salad was okay(but not worth the price), the egg was rock hard and plasticy. I also ordered a plain milk tea with boba. This drink is SO hard to mess up, but they managed to do it. The milk tea was obviously made from powder because it still had clumps of powder floating around in it, and they said it would take 10 minutes to cook the boba. I said it was okay because I can wait 10 minutes. But then they gave me the drink without the boba and said they would bring me the boba in a separate cup later… Well, 40 minutes later my bobas come in a separate cup. Did they expect me to not drink my milk tea and just let it sit in front of me for 40 minutes while I waited for the boba???

caffé bene is and has been one of my favorite cafés; they are everywhere in new york, so i was pleasantly surprised to find one here. i really like this location — compared to the ones in new york, it has more menu options and is less quiet! i’ve come here several times now at different times of the day to study and i’ve never felt uncomfortable… it’s not super crowded like kung fu tea or other cafés, and there are outlets in between tables, which is convenient. as for the food/drinks, they’re not bad compared to the ones in new york(which generally run $ 5+ for a latte). i was a little disappointed to find that some of their lattes(red velvet, misugaru, etc.) don’t actually have espresso in them, just powder and steamed milk. but, i am a big fan of their spanish latte, which is basically a latte with condensed milk. service is friendly, too — after they informed me that most of their flavored lattes don’t have coffee, they then listed out all the options that do, which i found to be helpful. overall, absolutely love this location, especially since it doesn’t seem to be crazy busy all the time. will definitely come back!

Caffe Bene is everywhere in Korea; the one over here is a cute place to hang out with friends after dinner or so. The place feels very comfy and homey with wooden décor and bookshelves. Their Belgium waffles with strawberries taste so good even though it can be a bit small. I suggest one per person unless you’re really full, it could be shared among two. I also ordered Strawberry bingsu(shaved ice) and it is definitely hits the sweet tooth. Even better, its topped with strawberry ice cream! I shared that with two friends and we almost finished it all though it felt endless. The pictures do more justice to what toppings go with each dessert! I always come back for the sweet Belgium waffles!

I came here with some friends right when they opened in the morning. The employees were not ready for our energy because it was early and we were full of energy. That’s what happens when you stay up all night and get some sweets before heading back to get some rest. We walked in right when they unlocked the door and they were not happy to see us. They weren’t even done setting up yet, but we were so excited to get some waffles that we didn’t care. I’m from out of town and it was my first time here and my friends knew I love little shops like these. The interior was so adorable. Definitely somewhere I would go study and grab a latte or a sweet snack. The waffles were beautiful and tasted great! CREAMCHEESEANDSTRAWBERRYWAFFLE This waffle looked really clean and I liked the taste of the cream cheese. It was creamy and had a crisp sweet flavor. The strawberry added some nice fresh sweetness as well. The waffle had a nice crisp exterior and was fluffy when bitten into it. WHIPPEDCREAMANDBANANAWAFFLE I love the fresh cut bananas. It added such a nice sweet fruity taste and the chocolate and caramel drizzle gave the whipped cream a nice rich chocolate flavor. The waffle tasted sweeter in this dish because there were drizzles of chocolate on the plate and it acted as syrup; so it tasted very good. WHIPPEDCREAMANDSTRAWBERRYWAFFLE I love the light and fluffy whipped cream and the freshly added strawberries. It tasted so good together and it wasn’t overly sweet. There was a bit of powdered sugar on top and it gave it a light sweetness, but not too much. I definitely will be visiting again when I’m in the area. This place is just too cute to pass by. I really want to try their drinks and other waffles and sweets.

My husband I came into enjoy a latte. My husband comes in and says hi. Not one of the employees said hi back. Wth? Horrible service. I asked the girl where was the latte menu. Answered rudely. Um this was my second time here in months. Rude. I ordered a small maple latte. It was okay. Will I recommend this place.? Go to Starbucks instead. Thanks for the horrible customer service. I would have given it a better rating and maybe recommend this place even if the drink was«ok»

Quaint shop located adjacent to the Hmart supermarket. Location was difficult to find due to the number of small shops in the vicinity. Ambiance– A welcome change to Starbucks. Has a cozy book corner in the back of the shop. The front of the shop has a long table with multiple seats. Great for studying. Food– I tried their mango cheesecake which was ok. It was good but not memorable. Coffee was freshly brewed. Have not tried their waffles. Wifi– fast, no complaints.

I have been to Bene way more times than just my check ins and this place has been a fantastic change from the usual Starbucks coffee shop. Thankfully this place opens early and closes later than most of the coffee shops in the Carrolton/Plano area so you can get a lot done here. The food is not what I come for, but I hear/see that many people love to eat the shaved ice and the dessert waffles when they order their beverages. The drinks I have ordered in the recent past have been mostly espressos, Americanos, teas, and some lattes. All have been great, the lattes may be a little sweet for my taste but you can get that modified. The power outlets in this location are a bit limited so keep an eye out and snipe that location as soon as someone gets up. I believe there are four/five spots with plugs. Coming in here on a Sunday after church will be a bit packed but otherwise most of the time it’s a steady flow in and out. Updated: January 24th, 2016 after going here a bunch of times and going to other cafes, I have to give this place 5 stars because they are open so much longer than other places. There are so few locations that are open late.

This is one of my favorite cafes in the area to go to! The decoration is super cute and I love how most tables have a plug for your electronics(which is really convinent)! It can get a little loud during the evenings on the weekends since most people come here to catch up… but if you go during the day or on the weekdays, it’s really quiet and a great place to get some work done! My go to drink here is their spanish latte! It’s super good and I highly recommend it if you haven’t tried it already! Oh, and if you’re wanting to grab something to snack on, I recommend their strawberry bread(?)!! Overall, this place is pretty great and is one of the best cafes in the area!

This place is a very interesting counterpoint to the ubiquitous Starbucks. Yes, it says«coffee house» when you enter, but the vibe is different. It’s more warm, almost calming. The décor is really cool, having a bit of an old library feel, yet it’s still a little upscale(i.e. no «diner» type feel) with nice lighting and seating. The clientele on our visit had a decidedly Asian flavor, likely due to this being a South Korean business at its roots. They made my cappuccino, in a big ceramic cup, that really delivered on flavor and creamy mouthfeel. My fellow drinkers were very pleased with theirs as well, and they looked awesome as well. Definitely give this place a try if you want to experience something off the beaten path. It’s a really cool break from the usual.

The interior is good. It is like a book café, using a bookshelves as a decoration. BUT, the food and drink are absolutely terrible. Waffle and breads are served burnt. latte are not hot enough. Worst to place to be in.

We normally frequent Mozart Bakery in the same shopping center, but we figured we would give Caffebene a try. Great atmosphere and gorgeous looking dishes. My sister in law had a waffle which looked very tasty. I ordered a Milk Tea smoothie that had boba in it(which I asked to not have), but mix ups happen so I wouldn’t knock them on it. Our main motivator to go here again is just to have a nice place to chill. Seating is pretty nice and the atmosphere is quiet and dim, perfect for relaxing with friends. Definitely not as loud or as packed as Mozart is, way less teenagers camping out to study for hours on end here from our one visit.

This place is pretty interesting. Service was very unfriendly but the cappuccinos were good and their egg & ham breakfast sandwich was refreshing — hard boiled eggs, ham, onions and greens… almost a breakfast bahn mi. I liked the decorations, layout, & the free fruit-infused water. The staff is extremely off-putting, not welcoming, and seem way less than thrilled to be there. Otherwise everything would be spot on!

A small café place compares to the ones in the area, which I don’t mind, since it gives a more cozy feel to it. I’ve had a number of items from the menu such as: waffle with greentea gelato(alright), green tea bingsu(consisted of mainly shaved ice instead of ice cream), different type of coffees, and I got affogato for this recent visit. You get to pick the type of ice cream for affogato, which I picked dark mocha. It came out pretty bitter with the added espresso as I expected. Not as good as other ones I’ve had but it was ok. The portion were small and pricey. Many friend ordered the greentea frap, which she said wasn’t blended well cause she tasted a lot of the powder. Even though some of the tables are for party of four, the tables are really small to have drinks and books/laptop(if you want to study) on.

Absolutely love this place! Amazing atmosphere, great coffee and wonderful desserts and snacks! I’ve been trying to find a cute café where I can settle down and work(since I have a work from home job) and this is place fits the bill perfectly. It’s quiet, it has coffee and it really beats being locked up in my house all day. I can’t wait to try their dessert toast and plan on getting a waffle while I’m still here. Another Note: Love the manager! She has a very positive and responsible Unilocal presence and, when I was having a little trouble communicating to a new employee, she stepped right in and helped both of us out! She wasn’t chastising or uncomfortable either, just very helpful and professional! Love this place and hope to become a regular here!

I had the strawberry honey bread, expecting it to be holy grail I would start to have cravings for this. But when I finally got my hands on it I was not impressed and not something I would care about trying again. The toast itself was very dry almost like cardboard. The service here was like a «I could care less about my job» girls didn’t offer t help or give any suggestions for a first timer here. Even when walking in the door noone would greet us they didn’t even now we walked in until I said«Hello is anyone here» this girl pops up from under the counter seemed like she was into her phone more than working.

We came here after eating a huge sushi meal, but we were really craving something sweet(and I always have room for boba). I like the feel of the place. It’s roomy and comfy. I wanted to order an earl grey milk tea with boba, but they sadly told me that they were out of the pearls for the day. And they apparently already turned off all the waffle irons. This was all a little over an hour before closing. Womp womp. So, we settled on ordering a strawberry bingsu(shaved ice) with cheesecake to share between 4 adults and 1 toddler. It came in a really cute container and had layers of condensed milk, shaved ice(not snow), strawberry syrup, and whipped cream. It was topped with fresh strawberries and an entire slice of cheesecake. The cheesecake was probably one of the worst I’ve ever had – it had a very playdoughy consistency and lacked flavor. So we kind of scooped it aside. The rest of the bingsu was ok. My favorite part was the strawberry syrup. But hey, the toddler seemed to enjoy it!
