Omg! This sushi bar rocks! First let me start by saying the staff and sushi chefs are more than accommodating and friendly! You get a 20% off your bill when you check in on Unilocal. And the best part the all-you-can-eat sushi dinner buffet… $ 30 and free appetizers for you, miso soup and a plethora of made to order sushi rolls, handmade rolls and nigiri pieces were huge! One of the few places where the sushi fish on top of the rice is three times bigger than the rice itself. But I will say if you don’t eat all your rice they will charge you an additional fee! There are three rows that are listed on the menu when you sit down. Make sure you read all three! Don’t be a greedy gluttonous American and order too much. The service is attentive and he will come and check on you frequently, Pace yourself order small and go slow!

70% of the food wasnt good… Service was slow but nice until we had some leftovers(if the food didnt suck there wouldnt be leftovers)… After we said we were done the woman looked at us like we were pieces of shit for leaving anything uneaten… Their old policy used to be to charge for that but apparently that changed… We would have happily paid if the old policy was still in effect… Maybe not happily but it would be fair to do so… Its not our fault that much of the food was shitty or the policy changed… We did our bests to choke it down and leave as little as we could and we both wound up feeling shitty later as a result… Then when we left we tipped very well to make up for the uneaten food despite the shitty service and food… Fuck this place

I love this place! It’s a buffet, but they don’t rip you off by putting too much rice in your sushi like most buffets do. This is one of the reasons why I love coming here. I brings my friend’s here and everyone is always surprised at how good quality the fish is and how they don’t try to stuff you with just rice. You really do get what you paid for here. The service is also awesome too. There are always server’s around to check up on you and making sure you are well satisfied! Also you order what you want from your tabke so all the sushi and rolls are made and served fresh to you. I would recommend this place to all the sushi lovers. It’s hard to find a good sushi buffet like this.

You get what you pay for and more… With that being said, the dinner entrees are pretty affordable, and you get a lot of food. I usually order the sushi dinner bento. To top it all off, the staff is friendly and they also bring complimentary appetizers to your table: a spicy crab mixture on a fried wonton chip and edamame. I always leave with a full stomach. So why not five stars? The food is good enough… There’s definitely tastier Japanese options in the area, but it comes at a price if you want to get full. If you’re wanting for a lot of Japanese food and are tight on a budget, then this is definitely the place to go.

It is in my opinion that a big part of any buffet experience is the value calculation in your head. Is the quality and quantity of the food you’re getting worth the price? Although the quantity options they have at Sake2Me are good, nevertheless it’s not a good deal because the quality factor is not there making the value calculation fall short. Allow me to explain in detail. Before we begin though, we need to make a couple of assumptions. One, you’re willing to eat sashimi. Sashimi will cost more than nigiri. Two, you consider Sake2Me a destination place. And three, we assume that you want more out of sushi than just«modified California rolls». If that’s not you(except for assumption two), then Sake2Me is actually a pretty good deal provided that you get at least 3 – 4 different type of rolls. We also assume quality is similar to keep this simple, but it should be noted that I don’t think the food here is good. Fish for the most part is fish, but my main gripe is the rice. Anyway, Sake2Me is overpriced for lunch. Let’s compare to a normal sushi place. For $ 25, there are better ways to get a better bang for your buck if you’re craving sushi. At $ 8 on average a pop for fancy rolls elsewhere you can get by with two to three sushi rolls for lunch. Simple rolls will be about $ 6 so we’re talking about four rolls there. Because a sushi roll takes about a good handful of rice to make, that’s plenty to fill up on with, in my opinion, better sushi at [insert your favorite sushi place here]. Let’s compare to other sushi buffets. If you’re still wanting a sushi buffet for lunch, there are other places in the Dallas area that range from about $ 13-$ 15, a $ 10 savings for a similar offering. Dinner is priced similar to competitors at around $ 30, but Sake2Me does not offer sashimi. So Sake2Me has an inferior offering. If you like nigiri, then dollar sushi or conveyor belt sushi at wherever that offers it is better unless you plan on eating more than 25 pieces. For dinner, the menu is the same but costs $ 30. So the benchmark is 30 pieces then. Let’s consider Sake2Me in a group setting. We ignore the lunch price since most people don’t spend more than $ 15 for lunch. Based on the price of $ 30 a person for dinner, you have a budget of $ 60 to work with for two people, $ 90 for three and $ 120 for four. It is your own personal opinion as to whether that money can be better spend on other food, but in my opinion, it can. Tl;dr: Sake2Me has a lot of options to chose from, but for what they charge, it is not worth it.

This place is over priced big time and the food is not even good. Both of my kids ordered chicken noodle soup. The chicken was so dry! The seaweed salad doesn’t have much seaweed in it. You can only order rolls for buffet. Do not recommend.

Really good find. The first time, we over ordered because many of the rolls come 8 to an order, and we would definitely have ordered differently if we realized that up front. The second time we stuck to nigiri and the 4 piece specialty rolls. Some were a little disappointing. Ended up with a Philadelphia roll at the end anyway. The sushi isn’t the best ever, but it’s still definitely worth a visit. I think the price reflects the quality, and I liked the sushi better than Sushi Envy or any of the buffet places. If you feel like pounding away some sushi, this is the place to do it!

All you can eat sushi that does not skimp on portion sizes. I don’t know how the place operates when it’s busy but we went on a Friday night and it was pretty busy but not crowded. Orders are taken like a normal sit down sushi place, no buffet bar crowds to fight through for the last Maguro or Hamachi nigiri. Sushi came out extremely quickly and all at once. The establishment expects you to eat all of your portions so don’t order more than you’re willing to eat. Fish was fresh and cool, the tempura roll was crunchy and sweet. Some of the house specials were sampled and enjoyed. Service was fast and constant. Never an empty glass or plate. If you can handle eating 2 – 3 rolls worth of sushi you’ll get your money’s worth here. Recommended.

Let me start by prefacing… I am NOT a huge sushi fan. LIKES: Miso soup, house salad(the orange dressing is great), the price. DISLIKES: slow service, confusing menu(multiple prep options for each order, different sizes/price for all you can eat vs normal, etc) Overall, it’s a good bang for your buck if you like sushi. From what I could tell, they do not have a full bar, just wine and beer. Probably won’t go back but I’d tell any sushi aficionado to go try it.

Finally checked out Sake 2 Me Sushi after a friend’s recommendation + the fact that I was close by H-Mart(the restaurant is a 2 min walk from H-Mart’s entrance). I really enjoyed the fresh quality of their sushi and their decent portion size! A note tho… …I know most people come here for All You Can Eat(AYCE), but if you get full from eating 8 – 12 sushis, I personally think it’s a MUCHBETTERDEAL to just get a couple individual rolls and share amongst your group since these rolls are surprisingly filling! AYCE is $ 25(12−259PM) for lunch and $ 29 for dinner(from 3PM on), and I ended up saving about 10 bucks(spent only $ 15 dollars) by sharing 4 different rolls and I left very satisfied! Recommendation for rolls: We ordered 4 rolls(pics included) — Sushi Combo A($ 6, 6 pieces of sushi + mixed sashimi… total of about 15 small-median sized pieces. All very good and fresh. This alone can probably feed a single normally appetite person). Also has complimentary miso soup~ — Hot Night Sushi roll($ 12.99, 8 medium sized pieces that are pretty filling! It’s got a crusty/fried outside with shrimp and tempura on the inside. Very yummy! Perfect for people who like more flavorful/savory sushi) — Rainbow Roll($ 12.99, 8 pieces of medium sized pieces with fresh cut sashimi on top and avocado! Good Go-To sushi… very clean tasting) — Something they gave to us on that house! :D 6 extra pieces! — We originally also ordered the Volcano roll, but for some reason that dish never came. Since we got the roll on the house, we decided to cancel this order after half an hour. Not really sure what happened… Out of these, I personally think the rainbow roll is the best(seconded by another person who I came with). I also liked the hot night roll for it’s crunchy and tastiness: D I think sushi here is slightly on the pricier side… esp the AYCE option which isn’t the best deal for people with a stomach that’s on the smaller side(even for those who have an average appetite). Although you may not get to try as many types of sushi without the AYCE option, but I think my stomach leaves at a much happier(and less bloated) place when I family style the meal(instead of forcing down sushi because I paid for the«expensive» thing). Something else to note… I want to try out the bento boxes in the future if possible :)

The sushi is fantastic. The portions are large. The service, in true Japanese fashion, is extremely courteous without being overbearing or intrusive. The lunch prices(especially for the bento box) are very reasonable(Note** They’ve raised the price of the Bento Box about $ 3 – but it’s still good.) And you get a free appetizer – and it’s delicious! The ONE drawback is that none of the staff speaks English very well. This resulted in an unfortunate mix up where I was charged for the«all you can eat sushi» after I, against my better judgement, asked the waitress if we were able to split the«all you can eat sushi» deal between two people. To my surprise, the waitress said«yes», which I took to mean that we would only be charged once. Wrong. I had one roll and my friend had two. And we both payed almost $ 30. Womp womp. On another occasion I asked my waitress for a glass of White Zinfandel, because I’m basic. The«deer in headlights» expression on the waitresses’ face wasn’t very reassuring, so I pointed to «White Zinfandel» on the wine list. After having a short discussion in Japanese with another waitress(wherein I heard her say Zinfandel a few times), she went to the back and eventually brought me out a glass of… Chardonnay. I’m not a white wine drinker. but the amount she had poured in the glass made up for it. After our meal I left, or maybe stumbled out, very satisfied. TLDR: If you like real Sushi, you will like this place. Authenticity can come at a cost, but overall it’s a very good restaurant run by fantastic people.

I came here around 3:00pm with one of my friend, and was greeted very nicely by the workers and manager. There was only one table besides ours, so i wasn’t so worried about slow service. I wanted to order the bento box but was informed that it is only available for lunch(not sure when lunch ends). So i ordered the next closest thing to it, which was the diner combo(nigiri and sashimi). It was a little pricey but the sushi was definitely high quality. They were very generous with the sushi, each pieces were very thick. I will definitely come back to try their AYCE.

I’ve heard mixed reviews about this restaurant and decided to finally check it out. My friends ordered from the buffet menu and I ordered from the dinner menu. Wasn’t too hungry for a buffet but figured I would try their food. Dinner buffet is about $ 30 but make sure to eat all your food or extra charges will be applied to your final bill. As a complimentary, they serve free appetizer dish. Based on my friends buffet dining experience, they recommend the Nigiri which is shashimi over rice. Don’t worry, the Nigiri comes with very little rice which is good in this case because you want to save room to finish the other food. Rice usually fill me up quickly so for buffet style, I usually try to consume less rice and more shashimi. Our top favorite rolls were the Julie roll and Lobster roll. I don’t recommend the Cajun Popcorn Lobster and the Dynamite. Dynamite was heavy, overwhelming and tasteless. My friends struggled to finish this dish which killed their appetite. The dinner combo is good if you’re not too hungry for buffet. It comes with salad, miso soup and your choice of 2 or 3 rolls. I don’t recommend the chicken teriyaki. Portion is plentiful but chicken is overly dry. Overall, service is great. Not sure if this would be my first choice to return next time around.

Best AYCE sushi I’ve eaten at by far! I’ve tried Osaka, Japan house, Sushi Ya, Tokyo One, and nothing was close to the quality Sake2me has. How this place works is you sit down and you get a server who brings you a paper which you fill out how many orders of sushi(nigiri) pieces, rolls, hand rolls, and appetizers you want. You get 3 rounds to order as much as you like, but beware of over ordering! You can’t waste food or rice because you’ll be charged. When I first sat down they gave us some crab nachos? Which was cool, and pretty good. We proceeded to order the mussels appetizer, tuna, octopus, ikura, squid, yellowtail, salmon, octopus, scallops sushi, and two rolls: the volcano, and the salmon wrapped roll(which I forgot the name unfortunately) First of all, the fish cuts are huge! I was honestly expecting more rice to fish ratio since it’s an AYCE… but they were generous with the cuts and the rice was the perfect amount! The salmon and yellowtail were my favorite! Buttery and not fishy tasting at all. The worst sushi we got was the Octopus, which was thick and chewy, and the scallops. We ordered the regular scallop nigiri and the spicy scallops. Who knew the scallops were not steamed. They were raw and had a over powering sesame oil taste to it. Meh. I would never get that again. The ikura(salmon roe) was okay… It would’ve been better if they allowed us to order quail eggs on top of it :( We didn’t even bother getting any rolls beside the 2 we got because honestly it’s more worth it eating the nigiri! The mussel appetizer was really good though! Sadly we only lasted one round… Next time I come back I’m definitely eating more! Loved sake2me. The fish quality is great, and you can’t beat the price for unlimited good quality sushi :)

An amazing AYCE sushi restaurant! I came here with my boyfriend for dinner on Thursday, December 17th2015 around 9PM. When we entered, we got seated immediately and were handed the menu and ordering sheet. When seated, the lady serving us also gave us edamame and some kind of lobster/rice ball served on top of a crispy fried triangle(we didn’t order it, but it was yummy!!) As for the food, there are 3 rounds and you can basically order as much as you want. My boyfriend and I ordered as much as we can during the 1st round due to the fact that we only had 1 hour to eat before the place closed at 10. Also, keep in mind 1 order of nigiri is 2 pieces! We ordered: 8 orders of salmon nigiri, 3 orders of baked mussels, mixed vegetable tempura, 2 miso soups, 2 orders of eel nigiri, 1 red dragon roll, and 1 order of gyoza. FOODREVIEW: SALMONNIGIRI: Fresh, but keep in mind that there’s more fish than rice on one piece of nigiri.(I was struggling to devour most of mine, but what you’re paying is definitely worth it) EELNIGIRI: SOMANYBONES. I didn’t touch mine at all. I would suggest you avoid this. BAKEDMUSSELS: SCRUMPTIOUS. Literally finished it within the moment I received it. It’s flavourful and has a tint of Sriracha which added a kick! GYOZA: 1 order comes with 3 pieces, i found it to be very crispy and kind of bland but edible. MIXEDVEGETABLETEMPURA: what you get is a piece of broccoli, onion, yam, and potato. Tasted just alright! MISOSOUP: DELICIOUS! Totally recommend it. Also, keep in mind that you may get charged for left over food. I didn’t finish 3 pieces of tempura and 3 nigiri’s but luckily i wasn’t charged extra. The price for what we payed was $ 24.95 per person as there’s currently a promotion going on until the beginning of next year! As for dessert, half of a cut up orange was served, the presentation of it was unique and I personally don’t mind having fruit for dessert. In conclusion, I would totally come here again. The service was PHENOMENAL and the food and portions you get is great, for the price you pay!

I’ve tried their AYCE sushi but I’ve definitely had better for cheaper. I recommend coming here for their lunch specials! I normally get the bento box which is only $ 9.95! You get to choose 3 things and I typically get the mixed sushi, mixed sashimi, and fried tempura. I never finish it all so you definitely get your money’s worth. The fish quality here is a bit in the middle. I feel like everything is decent but not great. The only good type of fish they have is salmon. Everything else tastes a bit too fish-y to me. Sometimes the fish is too cold that it’s a bit icy. Their service is pretty good because they typically have 1 or 2 servers per room and they are typically coming in and out delivering dishes so it’s not hard to get their attention if you need anything. I think for the price you pay, it’s worth it only for lunch.

First time here! A wide variety of sushi rolls and nigiri sushi and also hand rolls and side items also. You have 3 rounds so you can always order more of you like but they will charge you for leftovers! They bring out edamame and chips with spicy crab and sauce on top. From that you just order from the menu and write what you want. I ordered a couple rolls to start with. Each roll either comes with 4, 5, or 8 pieces. I try to avoid ordering any with 8 pieces since it was just me and a friend and I wanted more variety. All of the rolls were fairly good, much better quality than the ones at normal sushi buffets and tasted good also. But the only thing I would complain is that I had a roll with shrimp tempera in it, and the tempera did not taste fresh at all. It wasn’t crunchy but very stale and soft.

I’ve never really been one for all you can eat meals, but I heard about this while starving and immediately headed over at 8:30PM.(it closed at 10)! I probably don’t have a conventional view of this place given my 9pm arrival. There was only one other table on that Wednesday night. Thank you for charging me 25 instead of 30 for dinner time! I believe they’re on promotion for now. Some say this is a bit pricey, but for what it’s worth, you never get that much food for 30 $ unless you go somewhere that compromises on quality. Don’t come here if you’re looking for hardcore delicacies, come here if you’re really hungry and you’re trying to treat yourself a little: P They don’t have sashimi by itself or things like sake toro /sea urchin, but of course, it’s all you can eat. I think they did a good job on what they offer-namely nigiri, hand rolls, specialty rolls and regular rolls. I was not sold on their regular rolls. All the rolls I selected, I didn’t really want to finish(like spider). But again, AYCE expected. Dynamite and lobster were both pretty decent though! I did enjoy the hand rolls– that’s pretty much all sashimi. Our service was good despite the timing, props for that. Hope your profit margin does you well!

I would give this place 3.5 stars but I rounded down to 3. My friend and I decided to go for the AYCE sushi lunch for $ 24.95 a person. You’re only allowed to order 3 rounds of food which is fine since we only made it to 2 rounds… they charge you extra if you leave rice behind but I guess this makes sense because you don’t go to a pizza buffet and only eat the cheese and toppings. Most of the rolls are California rolls(or something with crab meat) with stuff on top. All the rolls were pretty average/decent, nothing really wow-ed me. Crab and sauce overload. But with most AYCE sushi places, they tend to skimp on the fish and pack on the rice. Sake 2 Me does a pretty good job at not packing on the rice and giving you a fair amount of everything. At least with the nigiri, they put large pieces of fish on top of the rice. It may be worth it if you mostly eat nigiri. The baked mussels aren’t too shabby either. Was it worth the $ 24.95? Probably not. I would rather go to Osaka where it’s only $ 17.95 for AYCE lunch which includes sashimi and rolls amongst many many other things and I wouldn’t get a slap on the wrist for leaving some rice behind. BEWARE: if the items have a star next to them, then the plate comes with 4 pieces — if not, it comes with 8 pieces. I unfortunately ended the meal with 8 pieces of the 911 roll and had to force myself to finish all of them. The service wasn’t great either. It took a long time for our waitress to return to get our second round orders. I guess she assumed since we had ordered so much food during the first round we wouldn’t go for another.

Please come here if you are an avid sushi lover and are capable of appreciating fresh nigiri! Their nigiri is ridiculously good — not good just for buffet standards but good overall. It is so worth the price of $ 24.95. If you think about it, 2 pieces per order at a regular sushi restaurant estimates to be like $ 6. so you’re getting such a good deal here. I tried the edamame, tempura, and mussels too but they were just okay. The menu has a bunch of other rolls too but judging from the reviews about the rolls, I decided to just save my appetite for the nigiri. I wouldn’t recommend this place if you only want sushi rolls or want to get full of «real food». Service is quick and friendly. The décor is modern, dark brown wood everywhere. The environment is calm and casual. This isn’t get up and go around the buffet line type of buffet. They hand you a menu and you write what you want. If you’re looking for the whole shabang Asian buffet to serve you oysters, fried rice, and udon noodles, go to Osaka or Tokyo One. I can’t stress this enough– only come to Sake 2 me Sushi for the nigiri!
