Loved this hidden gem. We are castle hills residents and looking for something to change up our restaurant ‘usuals’
Super full menu with many options. I got the Watermelon and Tomato salad — so light and fresh for summer. The manager came out to ask how it was and informed me that I was the first customer to try this new dish (we saw the Chef peeking around the corner to listen for feedback. ;)
Husband went with the turkey wrap– good, but basic.
I got a side of the garlic whipped mashed potatoes and told him they were literally the best I’ve ever had. So good! Friday evening– Wonderful service, quiet dining room and excellent food. Definitely will be back.

Incredible salads. Great golf course outside a wall of windows. Staff is fine dining trained and menu is massive. Special requests kindly accommodated. Excellent food presentation minus the butter tabs wrapped in tin foil.
Bar staff can be moody but servers on the floor are on point.
Fast, fun & fab salads!

My last review in 2012 said we had been there 3 times, it is now at least 50. We love this place, its quiet, close to home, has excellent food, and has a great staff!
All of the entrees we’ve ordered and re-​ordered are very consistent, they taste great every time. The restaurant has good week day specials, especially Monday and Tuesday nights.
My wife and I usually eat here once a week or pickup from here as take out. Very nice atmosphere and something on the menu for everyone! Hidden gem for sure!

Future patrons… ignore the review left by Jim R. He has no idea what he’s talking about. He was probably just out looking for a free meal. Look at the rest of the reviews… quality and service speaks for itself. This place is a best kept secret… awesome food and service. Mandy and her staff do an outstanding job. Took my wife there for Valentine’s dinner… as usual… superb!

John S. must feel entitled speaking for others. You weren’t there, boy. I’ve been eating here for years, and it stinks now.
This place has steadily declined into oblivion. Service is horrible, and the food is just not up to the quality it used to be. Not coming back.
Burned rolls? «I’ll be right back with good ones.» Never saw her again. Cocktail onions? Nope. Southern Comfort? «We’re out.» Waited 15 minutes at the end of the meal, while the server chatted with the next table, then turned to take care of their check without glancing at my table. The manager was apologetic but completely ineffective. This used to be a great place, a hidden secret, but now it’s just a golf club grill, and a poor one at that.

Excellent service! Delicious food! We had Chicken Marsala, Chicken Parmesan and a Turkey Club. All were top notch! We will definitely be back.

My daughter & I first tried this place for lunch after reading some reviews on Unilocal.The food was incredible! We started with the ahi tuna appetizer (crazy good). Anyway, it was so good we came back with my wife. We are now hooked on the high quality food and great atmosphere. (Who doesn’t like the country club feel, with out the pricey membership fees).

We had short amount of time to find a restaurant that could accommodate 30 people… Grill 19 did last min it was beautiful views and prompt friendly service. Prices VERY reasonable for the ambiance and food!

Great hotel style food, very rich and flavorful. Amazing back patio is on a golf course. Nice country club atmosphere. I had the spinach and artichoke dip, and tilapia. Both were fantastic. Veggie sides were cooked perfectly too. Special requests were honored with a smile.

Had an excellent dinner there tonight, and service was the best ever. Ask for Ryan. I am so glad to see Grill19 elevate their game.

While still not as good as the «old days» before they turned this into an upscale «country club», the burgers here have definitely improved in the past few months. Back «in the day» (2003 to 2005) I was stopping by for a burger and onion rings at least twice and sometimes 3 times a week. Then new owners came in, built a beautiful new clubhouse, hired a chef and the burger quality went downhill. The onion rings must have been considered to pedestrian for the upscale clientele and were removed from the menu.
I decided last week to give Grill 19 another try (after having sworn it off over a year ago) and am pleased to note that the burgers are much, much better. Still no onion rings (come on guys!), but they do have onion «strings» that they will serve instead of fries. The cheeseburger is a little pricey at $ 8.95, but comes with fries (or strings), so it is not outrageous.
I have visited Grill 19 twice in the past 10 days and will do so again. They are literally within walking distance of our home, so it is really convenient. I cannot comment on the other menu items, but the burgers are probably the best in Carrollton right now.

At first, this place looks a little intimidating. From the road, it looks like a high end private golf club, but the sign out front says OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. We don’t typically eat at golf courses, but decided to finally try it out because of all the good reviews. I am so glad we braved it out and went inside. I have a new go to place for a Guarranteed Good Meal «GGM».
The quality of the food and ambiance is similar to a Cheesecack Factory or a Houstons/​Hillstone (all GGMs), but the price is much less. Here are the items that we had that I highly recommend:
Mexican Style Shrimp Cocktail — ask for a side of tortilla chips, trust me
Cheeseburger — the only ones better are the ones I make ;)
Blackened Chicken Sandwich — melted pepper jack cheese + spicy mayo = yum
Hawaiian Salmon — better than Cheesecake’s
Side bonus, the free rolls at dinner were hot, soft, and sooo good. You could seriously have a good meal with just the rolls and butter, lol.
Super side bonus, the wine selection is off the chain. It is better than both Cheesecake and Houstons/​Hillstone. I would definitely try this place out for a GGM.

We really like this place — beautiful facility, friendly service, good food and real good prices. Easy to get to from The Colony too.

This is my new favorite place for happy hour! Sundays you can buy a bottle of wine for ½ price! Happy Hour is Mon — Thurs, 3 pm — 7 pm. They have $ 5.00 appetizers — and let me tell you — the portions are colossal so if you share — that’s pretty cheap! I have tasted several of the appetizers and you won’t be disappointed! This is a very comfortable place to watch sports. They have five flat panel High Definition TV’s scattered throughout. Love this place!

Best food I’ve ever had at a golf course! The breaded chicken and angel hair pasta was awesome and the bartender was great. Nice atmosphere with all the flat screens around a well-​appointed room.

My husband and I love this restaurant. The service is great and everyone is very friendly. My usual is the delicious margaritas and the seared ahi tuna salad!

I can’t believe I am the first to review this Golf Club and the Grill 19 restaurant. Sam Moon bought the golf course and promptly built this new structure.
The Golf club is great for large parties (think wedding receptions) and for business meetings in one of their boardrooms.
Grill 19 has a rockin good deal at happy hour and if you miss happy hour, the restaurant has excellent food in an elegant surround.
Of course, I like eating outside, especially when I bring the kids so they can run around and play around the waterfall area while I sip my discounted happy hour drinks and eat my discounted «sliders» while the kids munch on chicken tenders
