Worst place ever… We ordered anticuchos, it came with sweet potatoes and boil yuca… The anticuchos were over cooked and hard. Then we ordered seco de res con frijoles and a ¼ de pollo a la brasa… Gosh how to start… my seco(meat) had no flavor, had no cilantro no sauce! the beans had tooo much oregano, it came with boil yuca and lettuce… The pollo a la brasa was dried, it look that was re-heat, was no fresh, we spoke the manager or owner of the place, not sure who she was because she didn’t introduce her self but she wasn’t wearing an uniform, we told her that the chicken was dried and hard to eat and she said, if you would’ve told me this at first bite I would be able to help you, but it looks that you tried to eat the chicken, sorry… Then she came back and said that all the chicken is at the same temperature and if we wanted something else. At this point we didn’t want anything else! … Other remarks … They say they didn’t have mayo, but they had tartar sauce, but the tartar sauce tasted just like mayo, and look just like mayo, that wasn’t tartar sauce… And to end up our horrible experience, Unilocal gave me 10% for check in and they gave me $ 0.50 off on the sodas only. The food was not discountable. And we paid full prize… We spend $ 40 … And this food was not even worth 0.01

We got here around 6:15 on a Saturday. They are very short staffed. There is one waitress who is supposed to take care of everyone in the restaurant. Some lady had to come up from the back to help take one or two orders. You are supposed to seat yourself, however there is no sign that states this, so we stood there for almost 7 minutes before we were told we could seat ourselves. It took a while for us to order our food. One pro was that our food came out very quickly and was good. The food is very expensive. We only came here because we went to Peru this last summer and wanted to taste Peru again. We wanted to use an expired Groupon that we bought a while back. The Groupon explicitly states that you can use the amount that you paid for it and not the promotional value. They would not honor it and now I have to contact Groupon.

This place have good peruvian food. However, the prices are to high for just regular peruvian food., service is good. I suggested this place to my colleagues and we asked for the lunch«special» used to be $ 7.99 and it was $ 9.99.

Food was overprice and presented like international food, not really like the peruvian dishes… Food lost flavor after change names from esperanza. Décor is better but one really goes for the good not the ambience. Wish other peruvians rest where close to go there instead of this one. Service OK.

Love the food — absolutely amazing. Service is really slow though. When the waiter does get to you, though, it’s great.

Good reviews are from months ago. We ate lunch here and the food was terrible. I tried this place out years ago and remembered how good it WAS. This visit was very disappointing. Service was poor and our over priced lunch is still making my stomach hurt.

Worst customer service experience in the DFW. I step into the restaurant at 9:45PM on Saturday, looking for the hours that The restaurant is open until. It said that it was open until 10PM so I walked in only to find out that all the cooks have gone home including Candy the manager(only an exception of a blonde cook lady that didn’t wanted to help and was very rude alleging that they close whenever they want). This is the third time that this has happened to us. My biggest recommendation should be to either change the hours, or if you post that you will be open until 10, then attend your customers until that time and with an smile on your face.

It was my first visit even though I have lived a mile or two away for over a year. Now I know what I’ve been missing! I ordered take out after a very busy day and the entrée hit the spot. The appetizer was their tamale de pollo. Honestly I didn’t love it and I didn’t hate it so it’s doubtful I will order it again. I ordered two entrees: Pato Guisado(duck) and Picante de Mariscos(fish and other mixed seafood in a spicy sauce). Without a doubt I will have the Picante de Mariscos again. I don’t know what makes that sauce but I like it! It’s fairly obvious it’s not the healthiest dish available but I will definitely eat it regardless. Actually, I think if the fish were grilled or broiled it would be better but instead they make it with a lightly pan fried filet. It didn’t take away from the dish; it’s just I don’t eat a lot of fried fish in general. The Pato Guisado was very tender and flavorful although it was a little on the fatty side(the pan sauces in the bottom of the container clearly had a high fat content). If I’m feeling particularly indulgent I would get it again; but, for now I’m going to say seafood is where it’s at for me at Inca’s. I can’t wait to tell my friends!

The service is a disaster. Price is ridiculous expensive. They also included the tip 20% even though i was upset whit everything. There are better places for Peruvian food total rip off.

Worst service ever! Waiter was a snooty gay guy who messed up the entire order. Girlfriend almost broke her tooth biting into her salad. Lady claimed it was a piece of plastic but gf said it felt like a oyster shell. I refused to pay for the meal and had to argue with the snooty waiter for 15 min just to be referred to the even more rude cook. I will never return here. Consumer beware!

I have traveled in Peru and love the food, so was very excited to try this place! We came on a friday night around 7:30 and there weren’t many people. He tried the cuzqueño beer and i had the fresh juice made from corn, apples and spices. Both very tasty! For an appetizer we had the ceviche mixto, which was incredible. He doesn’t even like ceviche and loved it, and all the corn nuts and yucca with a spicy dipping sauce that came on the plate were yummy. I had the aji de gallina which was good, and he had the lomo saltado which was delicious. The only bad thing was how slooooooww it was to get dinner or water or the check. Don’t come if you’re in a hurry! We saw one woman pick up an order to go, and i would definitely do that! The food is very very good!

As always the food was excellent! We opted to only order off the appetizer menu today. We ordered Ceviche de Pescado, Ceviche Mixto, Anticuchos and Choros ala Chalaca. You can’t go wrong with just ordering off the appetizer menu!

Inca’s Café is the best local destination for Peruvian food. I’ve been coming here for years as I’ve traveled in Peru quite a bit(some 13 weeks over 4 trips!). Inca’s Café is upscale and quality. The food has authentic flavors and they serve up authentic dishes. Ambiance here is nothing special, but it’s fine. Service is always friendly, although it always bugs me how they bring out dishes at varying times. If you are the polite and waiting for everyone to have their food type, a couple people’s meals may be cold. They offer Peruvian and South American drinks here, like Colombiano and Inca Kola, and standard dishes like pollo a la brasa(rotisserie chicken), aji de gallina(shredded hen in a creamy sauce), lomo saltado(think fajitas but with french fries and rice instead of tortillas and an asian flair to the sauce), empanadas, ceviche(fish cooked overnight in lemon juice), arroz con pollo(a staple), and more. Don’t miss their full bar, where they also serve up Peruvian cocktails like the pisco sour(pisco is a grape-based liquor and they include an egg white, which cooks in the alcohol). The menu is pricey, but the food delicious and upscale. UPDATE12÷9÷15 — I’m bringing down my review from 5 stars to 4 stars… the food continues to be delicious, and on my most recent visit the service had improved some, but the menu prices have continued to rise and are now through the roof. They have the prices of a fancy restaurant without the service or ambiance or location… in fact it’s hard to tell why the prices are so high. Chicha morada, the Peruvian staple, is $ 3.25 a glass(no refills), a can of soda is $ 3, «specialty» non-alcoholic drinks like lemonade and aguas frescas are $ 5.50. Lomo Saltado has made it up to $ 15.50 and you pretty much won’t find an entrée for less than $ 12.

Groupon brought me here! I’ve only have Peruvian food once before but in general i love south american food so this wouldn’t be foreign to me. I followed Groupon’s instructions with calling in for a reservation. I didn’t see the need since there was maybe one other table occupied on a Friday night. They had live peruvian music which gave the experience a very authentic touch. Our waiter was very friendly and informative about the menu. He was a great up-seller and I sure was a sucker that night. LOL We had the ceviche to start off with. Definitely my least favorite thing I ate that night. The fish was extremely sour… there was way too lemon or they just kept the fish soaking in there a little bit too long. It was more sour than sour candy. Maybe it was a bad night for the ceviche but I wouldn’t get this again. I ordered the arroz con pollo and BF ordered some speciality plate that contained 3 kinds of meats. My chicken was juicy, skin crispy, and that green sauce on the side is AMAZING on the meats. The green sauce is creamy yet has a great kick. Cooling and packs a punch at the same time. I would slather this sauce on anything or everything! BF had no complaints on his dish except maybe he should have subbed rice instead of having potatoes. Might not be the fanciest place but it’s not really a hole in the wall either. I will definetely visit again!

Deeeelicious! Decided to try their ceviche and let me say it is one of the best ceviche’s I’ve ever had. We also ordered their carne asada(though it’s different from the Mexican style) it was great! The presentations are really nice and we will most definitely be going back.

Went during lunch hour and there were a lot of people there but still plenty of seating left. After I was seated by a waitress there was a long wait for me to get a menu and a water but after that the service went smoothly. I read and was told that the ceviche is one of the best here but I wasn’t in a seafood mood. So I got a chicken tamale and a side of salty plantain chips. The tamale was really good and the chunks of chicken were flavorful but there wasn’t much chicken. I had bites of tamale with nothing in it. They need to pack in some more chicken in the tamales. I don’t know if I got the green sauce with my tamales or the plantain chips or maybe they come with any dish but dipping my chips in that sauce was soooo good. Reminded me of a spot in NYC called Pio Pio! i can see myself coming back here to pick up that sauce at least once a month to use for my own home cooked meals.

A Peruvian restaurant in the DFW area? It was shocking to me when I found this place a few years ago. Ever since then, I have been here about three times, nearly not as many times I would have liked to have been here by now. I have only tried three dishes at this place: Plato del Caribe, which is a flank steak with rice, vegetables, black beans and plantains. The steak was cooked well done, which is not how I like my steak, but in this case it tasted really good. The plantains were a bit greasy, but very tasty. Leche Asada, which is like Flan, but I think it had some honey at the top. This was amazing. Jalea, which is fried seafood, and has fried mussels, scallops, calamari and shrimp on a breaded fish filet. It was served with a side of fried yucca mixed with tartar sauce. A lot of food, I couldn’t even finish eating. The fact that it was fried made me feel bad, but it was very tasty. I especially liked the yucca in tartar sauce. The only reason why I didn’t give this place a five start is because sometimes it takes them a lot of time to prepare their food, and I feel their service could be a bit better than what it is right now.

There’s hardly any Peruvian restaurants in DFW but this one is the best that I’ve had. Closest to what I had when I visited Peru. Their food is delicious and has a flavor you can’t find anywhere else! I ordered the cerviche with fish for appetizer and it was just the way my BF’s mom made it! The cuts of fish were huge though, which I guess is ok, just harder to chew. Also got the sampler plate which is good for those not familiar with Peruvian food and a group of people. For entrée I ordered the Lomito Saltado which I loved! My friend ordered the arroz chaufa with chicken and that was one of the best rice dishes I’ve ever eaten!!! Then my other friend ordered the Tallarines Verde com Bistec and the sauce that went with the pasta was really good. Food overall was very good, pretty pricey but mind you the portions are big. Cocktails were average. One thing however that made me mad was that they tagged on a 20% tip on the check… And we were a group of 4 people. So MAD! Never had a place do that to me and although the service was ok I didn’t agree to that. Hence the 4 stars instead of 5.
