I have been coming here since I was 12 and there is such a nostalgia to this place. I love everything about it. The older woman who runs the show is just such a sweet person. I recommend the concretes. See you tomorrow!

The only fault of this place is the wait time. It occurs because they are understaffed during periods of the day. The taste and prices of all menu items are great. Try the Red Velvet concrete!

Been going to Shakes for years. Love the variety and the friendliness of the employees. The hound dog is my favorite.

Off the chain, off the hinges, off the hook. So far, me and my wife have had two visits to shakes. Last time, I had a supreme brownie sundae, and she had a oreo cookie concrete. Tonight, I had a dream lover sundae, and she had a cookie dough concrete with caramel. Both times our spoons kept searching the bottom of the cup for more. We both got regulars, and paid 10 bucks. Well worth it in my opinion. I got delicious, creamy, frozen custard with enough pecans to satisfy my sweet tooth and justify the cost. There are still a many different concrete flavors I would like to try, like fudgy monkey, and oreo cookie mint. Plus, I think I’d like to give their root beer float a go as well. So if you want something cold, delicious, sweet, and can make it over 10 minutes without melting so you can enjoy it at home, pay Shake’s a visit! You’ll love it or my name ain’t Nathan Arizona!

The best dessert in town. Simple drive up window. Love the strawberry shortcake concrete mix. My favorite.

Shake’s frozen custard is the best! Always consistent, friendly and lots of topping options. I wish they had a location in Oklahoma City, but then again, it’s best for my waistline that they do not. My favorite is the bopper– hot fudge, caramel, salted pecans and a cherry. I think this is what happiness tastes like.

Always satisfies a craving when looking for something sweet. They are fast and the deserts are always on point. Decently priced as well.

Sooooo yummy! Both brownie shakes/concretes are awesome. The ingredients are fresh and tasty. They blend all of the shakes/concretes with vanilla soft serve ice cream and the service is very quick. Thumbs up!

This place is just awesome! They have every topping or flavor your heart desires! The customer service as well as the brownie concrete I got were impeccable. Only complaint I have is the spoon could be a little more sturdy! :) I will be coming back.

This place is never open. The location is supposed to open at noon, but the help doesn’t show up until after the posted opening time and then won’t wait on you. I would love to try your product, but I am not making a special trip over there again.

I’m giving this place 5 stars because this brings me back to my days in college station, you new Ags don’t know bout that. But there used to be a little snow cone sized shack in the parking lot near the hilton on university. Anyways, this is the only location in dfw? Texas? It’s amazing, they have some of the best combo toppings and the best, soft, cold frozen custard around. I think their best sellers must be the«concretes». Basically the better version of a dq blizzard. Located in the Kroger parking lot. If you are looking for dessert this is the place to go!

You simply can’t go wrong with a frozen custard place that has a drive thru window. Or if you feel like you’d rather sit outside there a few tables in front of shop! There’s a mix of «concretes» which is basically frozen custard blended with your favorite toppings, plain custard, sundaes, and shakes. My favorites are the red velvet concrete, wedding cake concrete, and when I’m feeling extra indulgent I splurge for the brownie sundae! The custard is thick and creamy but watch out, Shakes definitely is more expensive than Baskin Robbins down the street.

Yes, I drove 10 miles just for ice cream… and…it was definitely worth the drive. I ordered the Nila Wafer Concrete(adding a scoop of chocolate custard). Deliciously sweet & creamy. Nila wafers were crunchy & fresh. Worth the drive back on an early Saturday or Sunday evening. My only issue — only one employee on a Saturday evening(6÷13÷15) ?! Kudos to her, b/c she provided great service having to service both the drive up & walk up window.

Uggh, I hate not remembering the name of something I ordered especially when everything on the menu has some quirky, fun name, like Banana-fofana Berry Split Joy. I ordered the one with caramel, brownie pieces and spanish peanuts. If your thing is sweet AND salty, this one is for you. If your thing is diabetes, this one is for you too. A small size is decadent enough because I can’t anyone eating anything bigger without going into shock. However, I ate every bite before I stared and frowned at my empty bowl and wondered why I didn’t get a larger size.

OMG. THISPLACEISTODIEFOR. I suggest going classic and getting the brown cow. My boyfriend and his friend introduced me to this place and ever since then I have been craving Shake’s. Their custard is so good and it seems like its ran by a very nice family. They were super nice and service is fast too. 5 stars plus many more for this place!!!

I love their frozen concrete! The Asian lady who works here always makes it amazing, but the younger girl doesn’t make it good. She mixes it up too much making it more like a shake. When I notice she is working I just tell her to make it thick lol. My favorite ice cream place though :)

I like this place because the Ice cream is really good and they make it fast. I would recommend you try the fudge concrete because it’s really good.

expensive for what it is. I got a scoop of mint chocolate ice cream and it was $ 4. what the heck! I will definitely NOT coming here often. This is just once in awhile treat. The custard was good but not that good. The goodness doesn’t justify the price or size. Maybe I’ll just stick to a cone next time

3-stars == ‘A-OK’ The custard was very rich and sweet, large portion with nice toppings. A very satisfying frozen treat during the nice Texas Summer. However, ’tis a very ‘fast food’ experience, which isn’t relaxing, and just makes me feel guilty whilst eating. No public interior, just a drive through and outside window. Only vanilla custard, but with various toppings/mix-ins. Despite finding the frozen custard satisfying, the drive-through only nature really ruined my experience, reminding me that this indulgence is bad for my health.
