Came here twice already, not the best AYCEKBBQ but it’s better than Omi. They have an option for $ 21 or $ 27. We went with the $ 21and it didn’t come with duck(with duck it’s $ 27). The banchans were my least favorite. The meat(pork belly, brisket, kalbi, and bulgogi) were ok. The service was pretty good for a korean restaurant. The ajummas were pretty nice to us. What I don’t get is why they overcharged us when we got the final bill. We didn’t say anything, just gave them less on the tip.

I as very disappointed with today’s service. Very rude and unfriendly. It was slow when we arrived, only 2 ladies working and 2 other customer working. Fast forward to when it came to time change the grill pan, she told us to keep it on medium to prevent burning so fast. We kept it on medium and it still burnt on the new pan. I explain to her we didn’t change the heat and she rudely replied, ‘then who did’. Note, I’m not an Kbbq novice. She didn’t offer to change the pan immediately. Then she said something in Korean in a ticked off tone to the other lady. Made us loose our appetite. She eventually came back to ask if want the rest of our meat. We said no, she came back with our check. We waited for almost 10 plus minutes for her come back to pick up the check;never came. While we were waiting, I went to the restroom and walked past her and saw her and the other lady just sitting at a table doing nothing. Eventually had to flagged one of the ladies down to get the check. I will not be back.

Best meat quality for the best priced all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ($ 21 a person). The restaurant servers are quick to tend to the tables, and change out the hot grill plates often. The LA short ribs are the best!

I do have mix feelings about this place. I like the different types of meat they have but sometimes the meat is cut too thick. My brother enjoys coming here because of the unique types of meat they have so we come here a lot. The service wasn’t too bad, we go at odd hours so sometime the service isn’t great but we can still get their attention if we needed to.

I love Korean BBQ and have yet to find a place where the food is not good. My rating this place a 3 star had more to do with service than the food. We had a large group, during a national holiday, so Im sure for a server, that could be highly annoying. We all did the $ 20.99 all you can eat and there was 15 of us so I didn’t expect top notch service, but I also didn’t expect our group to have to continually run down our servers for refills, clearing empty plates that kept stacking up, and more beef brisket during our 2 hour ordeal. I would totally come back here, just not with large group. Thankfully the food was on point.

I love this place. My only complaint really is that it’s such a drive from my house so I can’t go every day. Let’s keep this review short and sweet. Assuming you already know what KBBQ is. The sides are fantastic. Great variety. Great flavors. The meat selection is very good. It used to be better, but they cut some items from the menu not too long ago(sigh… Kobe beef rib fingers, you are missed). The restaurant is on the smaller side so the service is fantastic. The servers that work here are so friendly! They’re always really great with my son and we always feel welcome. 100% good times when my friends and I plan on dinner at Zigul Zigul. Sure there’s other places you can try. But… why would you? This place rocks.

This place is so underrated among restaurants that offer AYCE Korean BBQ. Within the mall of H mart, Omi is the number one competitor when it comes to unlimited kbbq but honestly this place should be the first. For the similar price as Omi of $ 21 you get pretty much the same wide selections of meat AND they have much better service. The place itself is much smaller than Omi which means the servers will notice you better and take better care of you. If you want more selections of meat there is an option of $ 28 as well. They give you decent amount of good banchans and don’t hesitate to bring you more if you ask. The only problem I had during the dining experience was our server bringing WAYYY to much meat for one of our choice of meats that me and my dad suspected that they were trying to make us full to limit us from ordering a variety. It looked really bad that the very large portion they brought us was the cheapest choice of meat out of what we ordered too. I mean it was large enough to feed three to four people instead of us two so we had to mention that to the server. Upon mentioning, the server gladly took back some of the untouched meat to reduce our portions but we couldn’t do anything about the cheaper meat that she already put on the grill for us. At the end we were trying to force ourselves to eat so much leftover to not get overcharged and thankfully we didn’t. Had that not happened, we would’ve easily been able to eat 5 choices of meat instead of the 3 we ate today. Other than that the service was good and so were the steamed eggs and soybean soup that comes with the AYCE Korean BBQ. With the same price I would much prefer this place over Omi as long as they don’t try the same thing they tried on us today.

This is my favorite AYCE kbbq so far. Compared to some of the other places, this place offers better quality meats and much better service. There’s usually no wait when I come in so that’s another plus. Only thing I would complain about would be better banchan, but overall I love this place. There are two options for all you can eat. I usually just order the $ 20 option. The second one, I believe is $ 30/person. The second option actually just options a few more meat options, which I’m not too interested in.

I didn’t know this place existed until we were looking to go to Omi and they were full. Turns out this is a great alternative for a similar price. The décor is not as nice, but when it comes down to the food, it is on par. Our group was able to get in with a reservation made within the hour and we were seated immediately in a secluded group table with 2 grills. The service was great as the meat came quickly upon each round of ordering. They also helped us cook as needed and replaced the grill tops frequently. We got the lowest end option of course and this actually included squid, which one member of our group partook in. The brisket was of course my favorite and the bulgogi as just okay, I though the cut of meat on this could have been better. We were never rushed and this was a great experience overall.

I’m not an expert at Korean bbq but I definitely like this place better compared to some of the other all you can eat places. I tried this over omi bc of the reviews and while it did not disappoint, I still believe that Omi is better. The flavor and quality of the meat is better than jin but I still believe that Omi is better. Also, my complaint is that when you have a smaller group of people eating the quantity of meat per order should be adjusted. The first order filled the entire grill 1.5 times and it was really hard to try other meats when I was already feeling full from just the first order. That being said, the food was still delicious. That being said, the service here is much more attentive than Omi. The servers and I believe the owner constantly check in on you and help you cook and turn your meat. While I do like how you can choose the price point, I wonder what happened to the baby octupus? It was one of the factors that made me choose this place and it was disappointing to see it covered up. Will come back!

While I am no Korean BBQ connoisseur, I believe Zigul Zigul BBQ earns a spot among some of the notable all you can eat Korean BBQ in the area. Their quality is better than Jin, but not as good as some of the more obscure pay by order places. First off you can order from the menu, or choose from two different all you can eat options: type A @ ~$ 20, and type B @ ~$ 27. My girlfriend and I both opted for type A. Everything we ate was quite good, and many of the sides go great to break up the heaviness of eating platter after platter of meat. We ordered only around 4 plates of meat in total and we left so full it hurt to move. The service was more attentive and helpful than most of the other Korean BBQ places I’ve eaten at. Many times they changed our grill without us asking and the lady even cut up the large pieces of our pork belly. Sometimes they’d ask if we wanted them to flip our meat for us in a motherly fashion. Overall, the food is great, however I’m not sure if I’m quite sold on the«all you can eat by order» model. For instance, our first plate of bulgogi was so big that after eating it off, we already felt full despite having already ordered another dish and wanting to try others. I’d definitely come back given the service, quality, and relatively normal price point for the genre, but next time I’ll be sure to order different options and ask for less so that I can try.

Recommended by a Korean friend, we ate to our hearts’ content. It was easy to communicate with the servers(though bonus points if you speak Korean), and the food was delicious. The meat is pretty good quality, there was plenty of tea, and the grill was changed fairly often. My favorites are the pork neck and the kalbi, but the old standard(bulgogi beef) are good too. All the banchan was really good, and while it was a bit loud there, it wasn’t too loud to have a decent conversation. It’s not going to be cream of the crop(it is an all-you-can-eat place, after all), but it is very, very solid and it’s a fun place to go for some Korean eats.

This has got to be one of my all time favorite AYCEKBBQ places. Their quality of meat is by far better than some other AYCE places in Dallas and is a little bit cheaper as well. I love how every time I come, the service is always excellent! Our drinks were never empty and they came around often to change out the grill for us, whenever it got dirty. As weird as it sounds, I feel like they have some of the best side dishes here! The salad they give you is so good that my friends and I always end up eating about 3 or 4 plates of it… Overall, great food and great service! Definitely will be back again soon!

Ah, Zigul Zigul, my first KBBQ experience here in Texas, I would’ve give this place 4 stars, if not 5 if it wasn’t for their shitty services. This place has definitely gone down hill in term of service. They used to be good, the waiters used to be prompt and friendly, well not anymore as I see it. The lady supposed to wait us was very rude, when we tell her we want to grill the meat ourselves, she acted weird and start whispering something to her coworker, that ticked me off a lot. I feel like they’re trying to rush people to eat so they can take in more customers(we were there rush hours). Second thing that pissed me off is when I asked for another bowl of soup, they never brought it out, when we decided to get the check, i asked for the soup again and they refused to give me it because we’re already paid. Last but not least, normally we would get their shikeh at the end of the meal, this time they don’t even bring it out, after signing the check, me and my bf decided to sit a bit to wait for the drink, but we never get it, my bf was so sad because it was his favorite thing to drink after the meal. Honestly I wish this didn’t happen to us, so we have a reason to keep coming back, but I guess we wont be coming back now. It is quite sad.

It’s kinda tricky here because in order for your tongue to adjust to the taste you have to keep eating, the more you eat the tastier it gets. Service is… you feel like you’re being judged the whole time and gossiped. Worth coming though.

Long story short. I did not really like my experience here, compared to other AYCEKBBQ’s I’ve been through. First, I remember the grills at our tables kept on «breaking» and the server would have to call over what seemed like a manager to remedy the issue. Secondly, I do not think they understood when I had asked for lettuce wrap to wrap the meat in. They instead gave me small pieces of lettuce, which, don’t get me wrong were alright. Overall, I would not come back here for KBBQ, considering the price also. Additionally, I felt the service was a bit slow with providing meat and everything. If it’s slow, I would suggest just making a buffet area with the meat so people can go up at their convenience. Try going to some place like Jin if you’re in the DFW area for KBBQ.

Now this is what I call a proper Korean BBQ place. Out of all the Korean bbq places I have tried this place is near and dear to my heart. After a meal here I am literally in a comatose state because the meat was so high quality and I had so much of it! The prices are very competitive as it does reflect and change occasionally due to either inflation or deflation. But there are two menus to choose from. If you know what’s good for you, you’d choose the $ 25ish one! It is per person but there is the bottom of the menu where you can get one LA short rib and other limit 1 – 3 per person meats because they are soooo high quality and delicious. The longer this review gets the more it is making me want to drive up there right now to get some!

The food and service was efficient. If you ordered the combo(cold buckwheat noodle and Kalbi) you will pay dinner prices even during lunch but I believe this is still a good litmus test on how good the food is. The banchan(side dishes) were brought immediately with the food and all the necessary ingredients were there. It is meeting expectation of most Asian and refills of banchan were offered but I was stuffed and happy. They have all you can eat so I will have to bring friends out there and see what they can really do for all of us.

Zigul Zigul is a decent place to eat if you don’t want to get completely full. I came here with my coworkers twice and each time I’ve come here, I just couldn’t get full and I end up munching on the side dishes. This place isn’t as clean as I’ve hoped. I sometimes have the feeling that the tables are somewhat sticky and the cups are not thoroughly washed, but rinsed. The waitresses there are nice and they’re very patient and kind with us. My coworkers ordered BBQ and I ordered a bento box with galbi or short ribs. The bento box isn’t bad, they’re creative. The dumplings on the side is good, the salad is interesting due to the dressing(in a good way), and their BBQ is great. It’s surprising how we all shared sides, and I had a bento box, but I was unable to get full. Same with my coworkers, they ordered cooked BBQ, but they didn’t get full either. What’s the deal? I know what you’re thinking, why not just do BBQ? I was informed by my sister that this place isn’t known for their do-it-yourself BBQ, but they’re known for their entrees, instead. I would probably agree with that because most of the customers that are there, I’ve seen pretty much all of them order entrees, and I haven’t seen one group do Korean BBQ, yet. :/ To be honest, I don’t think I would come here very often. The only reason why I came here the second time was because my coworker seems to really enjoy this place and keeps wanting to come back(I’m not quite sure why…). But in my opinion, this wasn’t the greatest Korean restaurant I’ve been to. I would actually like to get full during my meals(just because I eat a lot).

Food(4⁄5) There are three AYCE Korean BBQ pricing tiers at Zigul Zigul, each offering different kinds of meat. If I recall correctly, it’s $ 20.99, $ 22.99, and $ 27.99. The cheapest option(Type A) does not offer marinated LA galbi(short ribs), but it has several other delicious options like brisket, pork belly, kobe beef belly, squid, spicy pork bulgogi, etc. The middle tier option(Type B) is the exact same as A but you get three strips of LA galbi. This is what I ended up ordering because I love short rib :3 It was a pretty generous size still. Each short rib piece was about a foot long, and balancing it out with the other menu options in Type A left my belly very satisfied. The most expensive option(Type C), for reasons unknown to me, has like… no overlap in meat selection with Type A. I don’t understand mainly because I assume a higher priced option would just naturally include all the items in the cheaper menu as well. Due to my bias towards LA galbi, I noticed that was available in unlimited quantities only on the Type C menu, but the price didn’t seem justified to get the AYCE galbi. Overall, the quality of the meat was pretty good and I was impressed with the diversity in selection. The cooking grill was also on point — good heat distribution for the entire grill so your meats will cook relatively evenly. Pricing tiers and their respective meat options may make your choice tougher, but I think Zigul Zigul is a good place to get a different variety of meat. Conversely, if you are a LA galbi lover like me, Zigul Zigul may not be the best AYCE option due to the steep price. Service(4⁄5) Surprisingly, service was pretty good for my visit. I came in as a party of 4 on a Saturday night at 7:30pm. We were originally quoted a 30 minute wait time(much shorter than other nearby AYCE Korean BBQ places — looking at you, Omi) but a party ended up giving up their table so we were seated within 10 minutes. The meal itself was great service too. Each table comes with a button(ours was on the wall next to the table), and if you press the button, it will summon the waiter to your table for any assistance. Staff are proactively checking your table’s grill and will diligently replace it with a clean one if it gets too discolored. My only reason for giving service 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the waiting area. It’s sort of an awkward back room that was probably originally meant to be another dining table but was repurposed as an office and waiting area. It almost felt as if the waiting customers were herded into that room like cattle, so that’s my only gripe. Atmosphere(3⁄5) Nothing extremely special to say here. Plenty of tables to seat parties of 4. There are 2 – 3 side rooms that seat larger parties — maybe 10+ capacity each? Overall décor is sort of dark with wooden tables. I remember the side rooms being an odd pale green color, which didn’t seem to match the rest of the restaurant. Bottom Line Very diverse meat selection here if you don’t have a bias towards any specific cut of meat. However, if you’re like me and prefer LA galbi, there are better /cheaper AYCE options. Service was on point the night I went, so I wouldn’t be opposed to making another visit.
