I love the subs here. Almost everything I’ve had is the bomb. I especially love the NY Steamer. Service is pretty fast. Not fast as Jimmy Johns but the quality and the warmth and tastiness of the sandwich is there. I don’t mind donating to the fireman’s charity thing they got but asking everytime is kinda of annoying especially when I’m in uniform. If I say yes, my lunch gets more expensive. If I say no, then I seem like a jerk. The dilemma. I won’t knock a star off though. Oh a tip. Don’t order medium. Just go large. Medium feels kinda small.

Let’s be clear. I’m 100% eat local, support small businesses, small venues, non-commercialized eateries, fresh food, local shops, making small chef’s dreams come true in The Biggest Little City… etc. But with this check-in, and this review, I guess I’ll have to knock it down to 99.9%. Now, on to firehouse. Oh Firehouse, how I have missed thee since I moved to Reno. They’re conveniently located in multiple places in Tampa, FL so whenever there is a craving they were always conveniently around the corner(and trust me once you try them, you WILL endure this craving). After moving here, and realizing that the closest Firehouse at the time was close to Roseville, CA, I realized that the convenience that I have once taken for granted was no longer. However, once I caught a whiff about this franchise having a location in Carson… I went THATDAY… THATHOUR… I can always count on walking into any Firehouse location and getting the same sandwich, the same steamed-melt-in-your-mouth, scrumptious sandwich that I could find in Florida, Georgia, California, and any other location that I might find myself walking into. They just make some darn-good steamed sandwiches that can’t be beat. This location clearly did not disappoint, and I highly suggest that if you haven’t tried a steamed sandwich, to put it on your bucket list ASAP!

I ended up editing this review because their service got better as we were leaving. I was little bit disappointed with the service of this location at first. They seemed so rushed even though they were not busy and not once did I get greeted with a smile. The food was really good. I had the steak and cheese on wheat. The inside was clean and organized though I wish some of the bottles of hot sauce were cleaner. They did walk by to make sure the food was good and asked if we needed anything and as we were getting close to finish eating the service got better and they all smiled and thanked us. We ended up buying 2 bottles of hot sauce. I got Melinda’s garlic habanero which is rated a hotness of 4⁄10 and my husband got Iguana mean green which is 7⁄10 hotness. I love how all the sauces are rated for their hotness so I know what I’m getting when I want to try something new. I’d recommend this location and firehouse is my favorite place to get a sub.

I’ve been here a few times before, but only in the drive through. Yesterday I went in for lunch, and now I’ll be back not only for the great food and cause, but also for the customer service. I was called by name multiple times and felt more cared about as a customer than I ever have in a quick service restaurant. The staff worked together to collectively greet people as they walked in and they used firehouse lingo when preparing the food. This is my new regular spot, and how incredible that I can donate to a great cause at the same time. Thank you!

Love the food here. The meatball sub is to die for… But if you want something on the lighter side, try the salads. Firehouse Subs chops up the meat and the cheese into small pieces so it is so easy to eat. Tastes great and everyone will be asking where you got the great looking salad. Give them a try!

Service was quick. Staff were friendly & efficient. Food is excellent. It would be great if the meats in your fridge were for sale, so we could take them home for a party.

First time in the new Firehouse Sub shop in Carson City last week. Greeted by employees welcoming you and then a bit overwhelmed by all the options and hot sauces. I ended up getting the New York Steamer with a lot of extra ingredients at no extra charge. That was very nice and made the sandwich much more flavorful. The drink machine requires a degree in computer science to operate, but has almost limitless combinations. I wonder how large their soda room must be to accomplish this? The place was clean, the people were friendly and I am glad to have a new option in town for sub sandwiches.

I’ve had Firehouse Subs twice before today. Once in Palm Springs and once in Phoenix. I’ve always been impressed with the quality of food and the service. Today was no different. I ordered the Steamer, which is corned beef and pastrami. It was hot and the bread was fresh. The restaurant was very clean and the staff was friendly. They definitely put more meat on their subs than places like Subway or Port of Subs. I will definitely be back when I’m in Carson City. I hope they will open one in Reno or Sparks soon.

Wow, second time, not a charm! App photos are deceiving. We had the most delicious pastrami during street vibrations 2015. Lean and tender and tasty. Large was too big so we tried mediums this time. Ordered the BBQ brisket, about ½ inch of meat and had to use a magnifying glass to find the cheese! Also had the ham & turkey, bland and ham is super sweet, which they state is honey ham, and the bread is the width of a baguette. But 2 sandwiches for $ 17 made by a 16 year old who could give a darn! Last time. Also, firemen would be starving if they ate these for real!

I was in Carson City and headed to the Pizza Factory, when I saw this new business opened up here. It’s a sub shop and looks to be a step above the fast food Subway thing. So, what the heck, let’s give it a try! Firehouse Subs is new to Northern Nevada and is franchised by locals in town. It’s all new and shiny inside, super clean and friendly. Not too much of a line when I went. You go to the far back and order your food then it’ll be brought out to you as you are given a number to put on your table. The menu is big and so much to choose from! I asked what’s good and took the suggestion of the«Hook and Ladder» keeping with the fireman theme! It’s priced at $ 9.99 for the large size and to get it as a combo adding a drink and chips is an additional $ 2.50. My sandwich had smoked turkey breast, honey ham and jack cheese plus lettuce tomato and other goodies called«fully involved», again with the fire theme. I hear the hot sandwiches ingredients are steam heated before assembly. My order was up in a few, maybe 4 – 5 minutes. I got my chips off the big rack of selections… Yep. Cheetoes! The drink station is one of those new fancy digital jobs, instead of the multi spigot normal ones. You can select all kinds of flavors that the old style machines don’t have… like lime Coke! It took me a bit to figure out how to get the drink to come out as I kept getting ice, but OK, It’s the button on the front with a glass on it, pushing the chrome lever inside just gets ice. My sandwich arrive cut in two. Holy Sammy Submarine! That’ll feed two easy! OK, well, maybe not if you’re a lumberjack or something, but I only ate half along with my Cheetoes and drink. The bread is nice and soft but still firm enough not to squish out like a cheap hamburger bun. It was warm and soft going into my mouth. Nice flavor, I could taste the smoked turkey and there was a decent amount of it. Not like that Jimmy John place with such lightweight sandwiches, this sub I actually like. The menu is posted online so you can go check out the rest of the offerings and prices and even order online so there’s no wait! There looks to be a drive thru as well, if that’s what you like. I think you get a better experience eating inside, instead of waiting till you get home to eat. If I wanna eat at home, I;ll eat food I got at home. Overall, I like this place a lot. The staff is super helpful and friendly and seemed to help with whatever you ask. I asked about BBQ sauce to add a little zing to the sammy, and was guided to a HUGE selection of hot sauces… all numbered from 1 – 9 in order of spiciness. All kinds of small batch sauces were there… it was good to number the hottness! I’ll tell my friends in town about this place and I think you ought to give it a try! Welcome the new business in town!

Not gonna lie the food was really good but oh my god, price of a sub I got one sub and paid $ 17 this is outrageous for a second there I thought the Dali Lama made my sub I was afraid to eat it thought I would start the apocalypse but then once I ate it and realized nothing had happened I soon realized it wasn’t worth $ 17

This is a pretty new sub place in Carson. We were greeted at the door with a hearty, in unison, welcome by the employees. They have some yummy looking subs. The Hubby got the«Smokehouse Beef & Cheddar Brisket» he thought it was good. They have a selection of under under 500 calorie sandwiches that look tasty. I had the Turkey and cranberry and it was good. We chose to upgrade to a «combo» which Includes a soft drink and bag of chips for an extra $ 2.59. They have an impressive selection of soft drinks which includes a lot of lo-cal options. The décor is supposed to be like an old New York fire house. They have 2 large TVs you can watch while dining. Overall this is a pretty decent sub shop. The staff was friendly and it felt clean. I did have to knock off one star because it cost 20 dollars and some change, which seemed pretty high for what we got.

Ok first and foremost I have to say that I had to try this place a couple times before writing the review. I went here the first day it was supposed to open, they were still closed to my surprise. When I came up to the door it looked to be the general manager came to open up the door and said come on in and have a sub on us. I thought that was super cool of him especially because they are trying to start off on a good foot. I ordered the brisket that is cooked for like 16 hours, it was pretty good. Second visit I tried the club on a sub, again just pretty good. Third visit I tried the Hero and loved it. Here’s the thing, it is highly overpriced and not that great for the $ 10 price point. If it were in the $ 7 range it would be much more affordable to the average Joe consumer. Literally ordered 2 large subs, 2 drinks, and some cookies and it totalled $ 32. Provided the prices comes down I will revisit this establishment, until then I think there are better places for a cheaper price.

I had a pulled pork Hawaiian. It was very good. When you walk in, all the employees welcome you. The place is new, so it is clean and decorated in a firehouse theme. Of course! Good service, good food, and great customer service. They bring your sandwich to your table.

From the first review(quite obviously written by an owner) I feared I’d be left with half a sandwich I couldn’t finish. Looking at the menu pictures, they were really piled high with meat. I ordered the pastrami and corned beef steamer, regular or medium size. 7 or maybe 8 inches. It was good enough and with the chips filled me with no leftovers. Easily finished it. The photo and the delivered sandwich were an example of classic laughable marketing. More of the same. Probably wouldn’t fork over 10 bucks again for this. I’d put the value at $ 7 or $ 8 max for the combo. Jimmy Johns a much better deal, just wish they had hot subs.

Really bummed out about this place… was looking for a place to eat around 845pm… looked up Firehouse to make sure they were open after 9. Sure enough on their website it said until 10. Headed down to that side of town, only to be told«welcome to firehouse subs, we’re closed» it was 9 on the dot. I explained about the website, and was told«we just changed our hours TODAY» I totally realize that closing time is closing time, but when there’s a guy getting food in the drivethru, and your website says 10, and youre a BRANDNEW restaurant and youre changing your hours, it was just a little disappointing. Now, I had to ask my wife if this guys had an attitude, or if it was just me being hungry. She agreed that he was rude. Another bummer. All said and done, I drove back across town and got In-N-Out for less than half the price. I won’t be going back to firehouse any time soon.

New subs shop in town, why not, let’s give it a try and will find out after. When we walked in the door, we were greeted by a loud«welcome to firehouse subs«by around more than 5 employees with high volume. I felt like I was in the basketball place with some cheerleaders only without their pom poms. I ordered the steak cheese subs and a salad to go. Got home and ate my subs and it wasn’t really that special, wasn’t bad but wasn’t special, just so so. The bread that I chose the wheat bread and wasn’t that good. For $ 7.39 medium size I guess a bit much because the size wasn’t that big because I could ate this easily not like usual sandwich places with huge size and the taste was just mediocre not wow. Eventhough I am not a sandwich type of person but I’ve had bigger & better sandwiches for the same price. The steak was good but not so much onions on it and not so much cheese, it was more like Japanese beef teriyaki. Kinda different from the picture on their menu. The salad was good. I gave it 3 stars because the food wasn’t bad, it was just okay, typical a chain restaurant type of food. Will i be back? Hmm maybe yes maybe not but not really in a short time. Cashier talked too fast, gave a sales pitch. I don’t need group of cheerleaders while I come in and try to order, or look at the menu, I just want a sandwich with a normal & warm friendly service not over and phony service. Way too much for me, not impress me much.
