Not just for brewing! Include cheese making and pickling and you’re getting close. Just Brew It has a great selection of bottles and crocks for brewing beer or fermenting foods. This is a nice, friendly, family owned business and is definitely worth a look-see!

Beer and wine making supplies. Good selection of craft beers for sale. This place also has a few craft beers on tap so you can have a beer while you shop around. They also do growler fills, both full and half. The owner was extremely friendly and volunteered information on his shop. He was also knowledgeable of local beer events

This place is fantastic. A friend of mine who lives in Carson wanted to start a new and make his own beer. Luckily, the owner really helped him out by getting him setup along with guidance on how to brew it just right. In addition, even if you dont want to make your own beer they have a selection of crazy local beers that you can’t get anywhere else such as Pigeon Head, Under the Rose and many other local spots. If you are in town be sure to check this place out and bring your growler!

A couple of weeks ago my mother and I were juicing apples from our little orchard and quickly realized that there was no way in hell that we were going to be able to store all the apple cider, let alone drink it all. Enter my brilliant idea to make Hard Apple Cider.(Yes, thank you.) My mother being as prompt as she is, found Just Brew It, went in to get educated, and came back to talk the idea further with me. Now when my mother went in the first time, Tessa(one of the co-owners with her husband), was amazing. She patiently went through the whole process with my mom and went through it again when I came in the second time to do the official purchasing. Fermenting your own cider/beer is actually really easy but you definitely want to make sure you do it right, and Tessa and her husband know what they’re doing. Once we’d actually purchased our basic brewing kit, along with carbon tablets and yeast, we were ready to go. They didn’t try to talk us into the most expensive products or add on some useless things that could be substituted by something else, and that really impressed me. Just Brew It was super patient with us newbies and I’m pretty sure they repeated things a few times over for us.(P.S. $ 120 approx. will get you your very own brewing kit.) So onto the actual fermentation/brewing process, my mother and I had to read and re-read directions a few times before we were confident in going forward. At one point, having watched several videos on YouTube for information, I called Tessa to ask about one point in the process and she more than patiently talked me through it, assuring me that I didn’t need to do anything further to my cider. Whew! We have to wait a little bit more before we know if our cider is drinkable, but my first salud will definitely be to Tessa and Just Brew It!
