Always amazing service and even better food. I honestly don’t think you could go wrong eating here. From the smoked meats to the ribs and steaks their meals are top of the line. It may be expensive, but you pay for what you get and in this case you get an exquisite BBQ experience. We have been going here for years and we will continue to do so. We have never had a single bad experience here. Thank you!

Really special décor. Great beer selection. The pulled. Pork sandwiches are awesome. Good salad, cold beer, great happy hour. Most of the time the service is good, sometimes not so much…

On a road trip from Virginia City to Reno, my mother recommended this BBQ place her and my father had gone to once. I ordered a turkey club no tomato or mayonnaise, when it showed up it had tomato remnants and one of the slices of bread was soaked in tomato juice, and where there was supposed to be swiss cheese, was a pasteurized processed cheese product, I spoke to the waitress Dezarae who was awesome, she promptly returned the order, several seconds later a rude kitchen hand came right back with what had to be the exact same plate, to which I assume they just switched out the tomato bread(since the fries were then cold) at this point my appetite was diminishing so I nibbled on a couple fries and asked for a to-go box. After the rest of the party was nearly finished, Dezerae then came back again and tried to argue how the guacamole has tomatoes in it so that must have been the problem, to which I had to firmly explain, first of all, there is next to NOGUACAMOLE on the sandwich so I doubt that and second, that one of the pieces of bread was soaked in tomato juice and fresh tomato seeds and chunks were visible on the sandwich… She then got a manager, Mario… when Mario first approached me he tried again to basically argue the guacamole reasoning, I had to AGAIN go over the issue, to which I said really wasn’t a terribly big deal, trying to cut them some slack since the rest of the party was satisfied with their meals. Mario being the decent guy he is still did the favor of removing the sandwichES from the bill as I’m sure he saw that I was not intending to eat it. When I got home, I tried AGAIN to eat the sandwich and realized that the sourdough bread had a hideous MOLDTASTE! Maybe it’s just a sandwich thing there, or just my luck, but I would not eat/recommend this to anyone again. The service was good and the décor adorably rustic though.

I would have given 5 stars but the service wasn’t that great. The place was very noisy which I hate, BUT, the food was really good. Very reasonable prices. We checked in on Unilocal and got a free dessert. The bill for 3 dinners with drinks and dessert was under 75 with tip. Will return.

Like the Deco very rustic old wagons hanging overhead mounted animal heads, lots of antiques. A barbecue place, very busy at 730 pm on a Wednesday. Crowded bar Only a few tables open when we got there. There signage boasts about having 101 different beers. As for the food my cheese burger became boring as I ate it lacking flavor. I’m a big cheese Burger nut. Love a a big juicy burger. The burger meat looked as if was a frozen burger microwaved. My wife agreed it looked funny. Now I know it’s a barbecue place. I didn’t want barbecue. we were in a hurry only had a short time to eat and we were going by this restaurant so we thought we would try it

We’ve been to Red’s twice now and have enjoyed our experience both times. For us, the big win is their chili — get a cup and share with your party(it’s incredibly rich) or pour it over a basket of their fries. We fed our group of 5 on their BBQ for two platter plus an order of chili, fries, and shrimp. We brought home enough food for another meal. Portions are large, service is friendly and the beer is cold. When ordering the BBQ for two platter, I recommend swapping the sausage for the brisket.

Had dinner at Red’s 395& it was a real disappointment. I knew we were in for trouble when our order was delivered to the wrong table. Then we were left with no silverware & no napkins. My food was cold the onion rings sure didn’t taste very good cold. Called the manager over & got profuse apology when he returned with my microwaved plate with very soggy onion rings that were now hot but ruined. The Manager trier to blow smoke to cover for poor service, poor quality food & a reason to never ever return again. It’s sad because a few years ago it was very good. So sad to see a good thing go bad. Red’s was at one time very good. Oh well, all good things come to an end.

Had a lunch here today at Red’s. Unfortunately, the food was pretty awful. The 2 pulled pork sandwiches that our husbands ordered were 90% fat. My sister’s hamburger was the same. My turkey roll was just ok. Usually, I would bring these problems to the manager — but I was there to spend some long awaited time with family I had not seen in a few years. Needless to say, the prices were WAY out of line for the very poor quality. Service ok. Go to In and Out for value and taste. Or Adele’s for an excellent meal.

Best BBQ around! We drove up from Yosemite looking for a decent place for supper, and were pleasantly surprised by Red’s. How did we miss this before? Huge portions, so we split the Deuce Coupe– half a rack of ribs and two sausage. Everything is delicious! Great ribs, good sausages, and the sides are tasty too– Cole slaw, delicious beans, and tasty string potatoes. Don’t miss this spot.

The décor in this place is awesome! It really gives the vibe of an old BBQ joint in the country. I’m newer to Reno and this was my first time in Carson City. This BBQ joint was highly recommended and our group wasn’t disappointed. Loved the beer too!

At here first week of March when doing factory training in Carson City. This place was the first night we were there and was the most lackluster. The steak I ordered was over cooked. The service was slow & just overall a lack luster experience. There are much better options in my opinion.

This place gets three stars for food and another for the great service and fun atmosphere. I have driven by this place many times over the years but never stopped until last weekend when we had gone down to Carson City to hit the antique shop. We decided on this place for lunch and noticed right away the over the top décor inside and outside the building. One in our party commented that it looks like a Disney ride from the outside. Inside is a ton of nick nacks including whole carriages and wagons hanging from the ceiling overhead. The menu has a ton of options but you better come hungry because the portions are large. Not a problem as the friendly waitress brought us boxes and bags for the leftovers. I had the Assembly Club sandwich with fries(pretty standard club sandwich if not overly exciting). The rest of our party went with the brisket sandwich and the pulled pork sandwich, both of which smelled and looked great. Most interesting were the beans served with these dishes, which came in a small tortilla cub and were a variety of bean types in a kicky sauce. Service was friendly and attentive.

Well the beer was good. Food not so much this time. Staff in training so we’ll have to come back in a few months when the kitchen has settled.

Been here about a dozen times. Most recently on Saint Patrick’s Day with friends. The friends all order the corned beef dinner and raved about it. I can’t say for sure because corned beef is one of very few foods that I just can’t seem to like. I had the Ribs and sausage Deuce Coup meal(again) that included my choice of 2 sausage(from a 3 type of sausage selection), a half rack of pork ribs, beans, slaw, corn bread and friend onions. I took the two sausage home because eating all of the dish is only for those who may not have eaten beforehand. The ribs and rib sauce are very good. The sides are very tasty. And, that sausage I brought home and had the next day mixed with eggs for breakfast were outstanding. Very good place for dinner and the atmosphere is just plain fun. Our server on Saint Patrick’s Day was the best server yet. Very attentive and knew her stuff. I skipped the green beer, but enjoyed a couple of Guiness beers that were served cold and timely despite the large number of people dining here. Always a fun time. You won’t leave hungry or dissatisfied. I’ve never ordered the hamburger here, but my daughter did and said it was cooked as ordered and was a good one. I may try the burger next time I’m here, which may not be to far in the future.

This is the best burger(Carson Colossus, I think?) I have eaten in ages. It was a full pound of meat. It was seared on the outside raw in the middle and it was so fresh and juicy. Yum! I’m from Amarillo Texas so meat is my favorite food. The waitress was very nice(Christina) and almost as if she was a life long friend. She got a good tip of $ 10. It is very rustic and even has history all inside of it. I loved this place. I highly recommend this place!!! I’m living on Bethel Island, California.

This place was recommended to me by the clerk at my hotel as a place with good barbecue. Since I thoroughly enjoyed the last place the same person recommended so much, I eager;y looked forward to another exceptional meal. Red’s is a restaurant with a boisterous, Old Western theme to the décor. All up in the rafters are various buggy-wheeled vehicles from an age past. Old black and white photos line the walls, and the entrance waiting area is supplied with cowhide(hair-on) backs. There was quite a lot to look at. It felt like a museum of paraphernalia of the West. As servers walked out of the kitchen with large plates of food, I marveled at the savory aromas floating by. We arrived during a busy Saturday evening service.(The place was packed!) The server gave us the option of waiting for a table, or dine inside the bar area in a raised booth. We opted for the booth. As we wound to the back wall of the bar area, I noted the flat screen televisions showing a sports event that had most eyes there glued to the screen. Both of us were pretty hungry after spending all day skiing. We decided to order 2 dinner plates and split them, so we could try 2 different dishes. We ordered the flatiron steak, cooked medium(with corn, broccoli florets, and green beans) and the full rack of pork ribs(served with coleslaw, baked beans, and cornbread). A request for a hot cup of water was graciously and promptly fulfilled by a cheerful, but obviously busy server… which was greatly appreciated. The food was fantastic! Cooked perfectly. The portions were pretty generous. Both of us had been quite hungry, but we had difficulty polishing off it all. The meats were prepared perfectly and deliciously. The veggies weren’t overdone, and the cornbread was moist and good. This place is a place that I’ll be sure to return to, in the future!

Reds in Carson City! Rated by me «The Best BBQ in Town» this location offers very great portions, service, and not to mention the best sauce ever to cross your taste buds. There is always something great about good food and family moments here. Ive been to this location multiple times, for birthday parties, business dinners, and most of all family get togethers. Sorry to say that I could not find many wrongs, there are a few places they could work on but overall they do pretty well. The Greats! The Food is Amazingly! Yummy! Pricey? Yes! But very worth it. A large vareity of types of food. I love the«Smoked Brisket» perfect 10 meal. With Coleslaw and beans, yum yum! The Waitress, the bartenders, the cooks do show pride in their work. You can see it, not only that but you can taste it. There are a few things this place does out of this World that you dont see veey much… * Birthday Wishes! Inform your hostess that someone at your table someone has a bday an they will be able to choose a desert. *They will add to your check* ****** Unilocal!Check-in Special ***** FREEDESSERT!
