Sun King Window Tinting

I have been using Sun King to tint my windows for the last 15 years. They have always done excellent work at a reasonable price. I have never had a problem with bubbling or peeling, but if I had, they would have repaired or replaced it with no problems.

Seems like this is the place to go for car window tinting in Carson City. I hear even the past governor had his Cadillac tinted here. It’s great in NV here you can tint the passenger and drivers side windows to a darkness of 35%. In CA NO tinting allowed! My BF just got a new car and needed the windows tinted, like everybody else in Carson City. He’s had the last 4 cars tinted here, so I guess it’s a good place. We brought the car down in the morning and 3 hrs later it was done! We went back to pick it up and it looks amazing, no bubbles or looking like someone used Saran Wrap on the windows. I wouldn’t even take my truck back to them to get it fixed, if you have a brand new car they might do an alright job but if not they won’t put any effort into it. The job they did was horrible, I tint myself but by far no professional so I figured I might try a «professional job» which was not the case. It was overpriced and a garbage job!

They have usually been able fit me in on the same day that I’ve called to setup and appointment, which is awesome. I’ve never had a problem with their service or tint work and highly recommend them!

This place is straight GARBAGE. I don’t even think they know what they are doing here. After one weeks clear bra on my ’13 Chevy Tahoe is already coming off. BULLSHIT… I’ve had my dealer work on my other cars and nothing has looked as bad as this. But there was a guy there that did three of my cars in past back in 2012 and they came out great. It was my ’12 Subaru my ’06 ford f-​150 and ’08 Santa Fe. He was great if anyone knows what happened to him. Please let me know.

This is the second time I’ve used Sun King to tint my car windows. I think they are as good as it gets, at least in Carson City. The guys are friendly and the work looks great with a lifetime warranty. I went in for an estimate on Wednesday and left with ceramic tint windows on Thursday afternoon!

I must have been one of the last few Nevadans without tinted windows. I called first thing in the morning to check if they had any openings later that day. By 1 pm, my car was in the bay and by 3 pm I was outta there. They quoted me $ 160 on the phone but charged me only $ 150. Several people came in and out or called while I waited in their tiny «lounge» and I was surprised how many said they were about to refer them to family or friends, or had been referred by family or friends. Must be a good thing.

Minor con: I brought my iPad to help kill time while I waited for 2 hours. Wish their seating situation was a bit more comfortable. No wifi available either (they said it messed with the police equipment — they apparently work on a lot of cop cars). Or you could wander over to the nearby Cal Ranch store and look at all the baby chickens they had inside to kill time.

I made an appointment on Wednesday and by Thursday afternoon I had tinted windows. Great service with a great price. I have two friends going to go there now since my windows look so badass.

I decided to have the windows tinted on my new Mazda 3 hatchback. I wanted to get them done before my road trip to L.A. which was in 3 days. I called Weds Nov 2^nd and they got me in Friday the 4^th in the afternoon. I was in and out within an hour. It was good quality work with a lifetime warranty. Friendly, cost effective and efficient. It don’t get better than that.

This place is awesome. I had my Honda Civic tinted about three years ago. They did a great job. Now, here I am three years later and my rear window has taken on the look of a fun house mirror. I look in my rear view mirror and see four headlights stacked on top of each other at night. During the day there’s always four cars behind me, stacked up one on top of the other. Not good.
I saved my receipt (always a good idea!) and brought the car back in to ask what had happened to my window. With no questions asked, they told me to bring it back to be repaired. I made an appointment for a week later, brought it in early in the morning, and by afternoon I had a brand new tint job on the offending window. Wow! I love businesses like this that back up their work. And of course, no charge. That’s a guarantee!
If you need tinting in the Carson City area, this is the place to go, hands down.
As an aside, we also had the windows on our travel trailer tinted, and one window on the west side of our house. These are all doing just fine.
