Bad service, these ladies are not barbers. I came in assuming that they could provide a simple fade to a 4day old fresh cut. Especially because the word«Barber», is in your business name. I ended up walking out with a hack job. I had to tell lady to stop. Now I have to go home and fix my own haircut. I never write bad reviews, because it’s not my thing. But hack my hair before a sales trade show were I’m supposed to look my best, and you’ll get what you deserve.

A barbershop staffed exclusively by Hispanic women. What to expect? A solid, affordable haircut and excellent, polite service. The customer base here is diverse, with all ages and backgrounds, male and female, so it’s obvious that lots of different people know what’s up: these ladies have skills. They use the old school razor and everything. I’m never going back to one of the chains you see advertised on television again. This has been in Carson seemingly forever. There’s a reason why.

I’ll keep this short cause my friends all say that Unilocal reviewers tak too long… Pros: For $ 11 I recieved the following 1. Good haircut… 2. sides buzzed with a shaver for your chin(plus) 3. Shaved with a razor 4. Wrapped in towel 5. Felt clean after Cons: 1. Only the main lady spoke english… who wasn’t my barber… but she translated what I needed 2. The towel that she wrapped around my head was cold. Final Word: Other than my lack of spanish and a cold towel, I was very satisfied with the result, and KEEPYOUREYESOPEN… because it felt so good getting this haircut, that I fell asleep. haha! She just giggled…

Well, since David C wrote a tome on Supercuts, I figured, why the heck not give a shout out to my ladies at Connie’s? I’ve been patronizing this place for 6 years now and, well, I think you can say a regular now. Located in a lower socio-economic area, this place is pretty simple. Depending on the barber you choose, there is limited English spoken here. Que? It’s really a chance for me to keep up on my Espanol, so it’s all good. They’ve got a GREAT selection of magazines to choose from here to occupy your mind while you’re waiting, and you can pretty much expect to wait when you come here(they don’t take reservations). Best time to come is hands down first thing in the morning. All I know is, I feel pretty clean when I leave this place. Ever since I moved to the hood, I was exposed to the use of a very sharp razor to create clean lines(neck, ears, etc.). I thought I was possibly going to get my jugular sliced when I first saw the razor, but realized, this is how they do it in the hood. You gotsa have clean lines in the hood, yo. All in all, simple place to get your –do done. $ 10 for a men’s haircut. My barber is Genoveva, and she does such a stellar job I usually tip her $ 5. Ain’t I generous?
