New to the area so it was my first time trying this type of food and place. This place is delicious I tried the Thai chicken curry and it exceeded my expectation. Service was nice and quick the place looks clean as well. Recommended no doubt. I will be trying the rest of the dishes that seem good to me since I am still exploring the Thai cuisine and some things I just have never tried… I take any recommendations also…

I have had this place twice now. My first experience was perfect. My second experience was ATROCIOUS. I called in for a pick up and ordered the exact same thing that I had during my first visit. Vegetarian phở with just noodles(no tofu) and veggies only. I am vegan so I asked to make sure it was vegetarian phở that I was getting. Some places you have to double check to make sure the broth is actually vegetarian. That became an immediate problem which caused for me to have to speak to the chef himself. Me: Hello I just wanted to make sure that your vegetarian labeled soup is made with veggie broth is that correct? Chef: What do you mean? We use chicken broth or beef broth for all our soups(Rudely). Me: How is that possible if it is on the vegetarian menu? Did you NOT know that vegetarians DONOT eat chicken or beef broth. That is unethical and false advertising. Chef: Oh I dunno. That is what the menu says. Me: Again, you cannot put vegetarian soup on your menu and use chicken or beef broth. That is not correct and a lie!!! Chef: Well we do not have veggie broth and never have had it. Can you order something else? So all in all I ended up getting veggie broth made from scratch which was mostly just the veggies boiled in water. Which is exactly what I wanted and ordered during my first visit, they just must have given me the wrong item!!! I hate to call people liars but this just isn’t right. VEGETARIANS/VEGANS do not eat here if you strictly live by your lifestyle. Other than that experience my friend enjoy her soup and said her food was good.

This spot will do the trick when I’m craving Phở but don’t have enough time to drive to my usual spot. Service is good and consistent but I wouldn’t call any of the dishes mind-blowing. But better than grabbing fast food! :)

This has been my go-to lunch spot for the past year– at least a few times a month — for the following reasons *yummy phở * priced right — I rarely spend more than $ 10 *best lunch spot close to the resturant/food desert my work is * fast(especially for pick up), friendly service. It has also become one of the main go-to lunch spots for most in my office . I have only had one negative experience here — the vermicelli noodles were super rubbery — like they had been sitting out for a while– inedible! but that was over a year ago and the food has been nothing but very tasty since then. Service is great the majority of the time — everyonce in a while they getoverwhelmed by a rush. My favorites are * brisket and rare steak phở — got addicted and had this for lunch 2 days a week for month *pan fried yellow noodles * great egg roles Overall a great lunch place with good food and very nice staff.

Love the name. A decent phở spot in the area … fast service and affordable pricing. The rare steak is among my favorites, but they have a few other choices as well. Stay Cheerful ;)

I love the food here. Best phở in the area. The only issue I have with this place is everytime I order food from here and check my bank statement they charged me twice.

Gave this place another shot after my first time not satisfied and now I’m hooked. I have gone there more than a few times now and they are not as crowded so I can find a table easily and they bring my food out in about 10 minutes. I can usually get in and out of there in a half hour. Perfect being in an area full of businesses & great price. Average bowl of phở is $ 6 – 7. It’s not the best phở I’ve had but certainly the best I’ve had around this area of Long Beach. What I order: phở with meatballs or phở with rare beef

SOPHOSOSHIT is what they should rename the place. Our usual spot was so packed, we went to the closest phở place… to this abomination. We got there and parking was readily available… cool. Lots of people there, so i assumed it was good. Cool. Waited 10 minutes before anyone even acknowledged we were there. I ended up sitting down at the only clean table there.(There were 2 tables that were not cleaned up) My friend had to go up to the front to get menus for us… –1 star My other friend had his hand up trying to get someones attention for a good 5 minutes before a gentleman came to take our order. I ordered ice waters for everyone and we gave our food orders. The 2 other people that got in after us got their food first and when i looked i saw several bowls of phở sitting out –1 star I finally got my food after about 10 minutes and the soup was lukewarm… probably cuz it was sitting out for a good 5 minutes… oh and no water –1 star I asked for onions and cilantro… and STILLNOWATER. The soup was flavorless… it was like cup and noodle soup with only half the flavor powder in it. –1 star Tried my noodles and since it was sitting out so damn long… of course they were overcooked. My friend asked for the onion and cilantro… again…STILLNOWATER. A guy comes by and drops off a half filled pitcher of warm water with no ice… no cups. FINALLY they bring us cups of ice water… and we ask for onion and cilantro AGAIN… By this time I’m almost done with my food because I was starving… and when they finally bring out the onion and cilantro… I was done with the bowl of sadness for a good 5 minutes or so. Shit service, shit food… worst phở ever. NEVER going back. oh and it’s hot as a mothafucka in there… so if you do go for whatever reason. most likely desperation… make sure you’re wearing a tank top and shorts.

This is my 4th time here. We allways enjoy our lunch. The soup is flavored very nice. Plenty of vegetables and meat. Its not the best I had but its the best in its location for sure. Youll feel like you get a good deal. and leave full

I go to this place everyday. I use to think I could not live without it until today. I asked for my usual and they botched it royally and had no sympathy offering an excuse«they are to busy to remedy», disloyal! So phở no good. On top of that the soup flavor was heavy and awful because the head chef was gone for the day. They didn’t even add the onions altogether they forgot friendship codes, customer service, how to run a restaurant and moreover loyalty. I am not a wining brat and nor did I show any different respect even though the experience cost them a daily customer. When their regular chef is in the food is refined low with salt, clean and plenty. I hope this review gives you perspective — inconsistencies and flip flop loyalty. My name is Jay

First i have to say, I visit this location often because it is close to my job so it offers a change from the usual fastfood options in the area. That being said, I feel that the broth is lacking in flavor. Most broths have a distrinct flavor even without having to doctor them. To me the broth here is a little plain and doctoring is a necessity. What makes up for this, is the freshness and quality of the meats. What the broth lacks in flavor the meat makes up for. The beef brisket is always tender and hardly contains fat. On the service front, they are great for lunch. They allow you to call ahead so that it’s ready when you come. If you decide to order in a phở order takes about 5 minutes. Quick fast and delicious!

It’s good, it hits the spot. The Brisket, raw beef, and meatballs are cool. Hit it with a little saracha and your nose will be running in no time. The sad part is they only give you one tiny napkin. Maybe wear a long sleeve Or a Sweater so you can soak up all your boogies, maybe it’s just me, Whatever. Try it out, hours are kinda tight, good luck!

3 ½ Stars! I have only eaten here, phở king way, and the phở place on pch just off of the 710. This review is a reflection of my limited experience. I will say that I have had the Com Bo Luc Lac at all three and this is so far the best. The meat is always fresh and made to order. I don’t like phở king way where they put potatoes that are previously cooked into the mix. It seams as if though when they do that they give you less meat. Definitely not done here at sophosogood! The ice tea is a little weak but other than that, the place rocks. Solid, three and a half.

Absolutely delicious phở. I cannot say that enough. Working with someone who was born and raised in Vietnam, I have seen a lot of phở restaurants in the last 3 years. Some better than this, but not by much. However, the spring rolls, which might be my favorite part of going out for phở, are terrible here. I like shrimp spring rolls, and the way they prepare them is so bland. It’s just plain steamed/boiled shrimp, plain vermicelli noodle, and lettuce. There’s no basil, no herbs, nothing. Then their peanut sauce is so bland and has so little density to it you can’t dip the spring roll into the sauce, you have to pour the sauce into the spring roll, and even then you can barely taste anything unless you add sriracha or chili paste or hoisen. I think 4⁄5 stars is fair, If I could do 4.5 stars I would have because I don’t think their spring rolls being bad should remove an entire star, however they don’t deserve a full 5 stars because that would mean it’s perfect. With that said, depending on the day, their banh mi can be excellent, or the bread can be a little too hard. Worth the risk though, because it’s really good when it’s on its game! ***edit. They’ve really gone downhill. Service is slow, and they barely give you any herbs for your phở now. The broth has gotten pretty weak. I only go to pacific noodle house in the area now.

SoPho is close to my work and one of our go-to places to grab lunch. They are pretty quick to get us our food most of the time(they occasionally get really crowded when its cold and rainy out) The Phở is pretty good, I normally get the P6(add meatballs when I’m really hungry). Some other dishes to try are the B5 or the H10, they are all good.

If you’re hungry and are in the area, be sure to come here! There’s only one lady working in the back, making all the food and one server in the front so yes, be prepared to wait for your food. Everything is made FRESH. So for those other reviewers complaining about how it takes forever for food to come out, it’s because they don’t leave a bunch of premade food out and just give it to you when you order. All the carrots, broccoli, zucchini, etc are cut when you order anything with veggies in it. I work in a restaurant and hate it when people are in a rush but expect their food to come out instantly… This isn’t McDonalds !! I’ve been here a couple times and I’m obsessed with the Phở Ap Chao. It’s pan fried phở noodles with a bunch of meat and veggies. I also love their fried rice. It comes with a bunch of meat, just add some hot sauce and it’s amazing! I have yet to try their phở but I’ll probably be back during the winter time to try it!

So, I can tell you that I got the P7, and the CC4… Do not ask me how to pronounce the names, but the soup had steak in it, and the fried rice had a lot of stuff… Now, the rice I never actually saw, b/c by the time it came out, I was done eating my soup and completely full. So, 2 stars… Service was terrible(considering it was us 3, and 2 other people in the entire place), we didn’t get our food together so by the time I was done with my soup, I was still waiting on my rice. The price, pretty steep considering I got a big bowl of soup and fried rice… add that same meal for my two co-works and 3 cokes, 50 $ before tip 2 stars… Easily… Only reason it’s not a 1 is because the flavor of the soup was good.
