Always the best. The staff is always friendly and attentive. As well as cheerful. The food has a freshness that I haven’t found at other area restaurants. Great job

I avoid this El Pollo Loco as often as possible. It’s not my favorite, but unfortunately the only one in the area. Cons: No drive-thru Often runs out of chicken Long wait times Store is dirty Salsa bar is always full of spills and messy Under staffed Minimal customer service Pros: Health-concious menu Food is usually hearty Manager helps with backed up orders Coupons come in handy

This is usually my favorite location to visit, when I want El Pollo Loco. Usually when the manager helps out, orders are organized and given on time. I was here on Monday, the 8th, so I could take advantage of their promo email of a burrito BOGO. It nearly took half hour to receive my order of 2 burritos and an order of churros. From what I could see, the burritos were done quickly, but the guy giving customers orders at the pick up area, kept telling me that my order was coming out soon. That’s all he kept repeating and made it clear that the Charose were being made. Their new chicken avocado burritos weren’t too bad. They put a generous amount of avocado, and the chicken is still hot and moist. I opted for no beans and no pico de gallo. For about $ 5, i’d say that’s a pretty good deal. No not only was the waiting too much and very disappointing, but the churros I ordered, we’re just disgusting! You think after waiting and being told the churros are being fried, they’d be hot and crispy! Instead, they were not crispy, not even hot, very greasy and obviously not newly fried! I couldn’t even complain, because of how hectic and busy it was. Still, regardless of how busy it is, food has never taken that long to prepare and the quality has never been that terrible! …

El Pollo Loco is reserved as my last resort. Not that it’s bad, but it’s my BEST fall back. if that makes any sense! I love that it’s always open and stays open as late as 11pm. Like tonight, most restaurants we wanted to eat out at ended up closing earlier than usual due to Super Bowl 50. We tried 3 different restaurants before El Pollo Loco and all were closed even though Unilocal insists otherwise. It was barely 9pm too. I recommend getting family combo meals if there’s a few grubbin’! It comes with large sizes. If not, the $ 5 meals or 4pcs half chicken meal is a great deal as well! As for sides, I normally get the mac & cheese, rice, salad or the corn. Flour tortillas over corn tortillas, all day err day. Salsas are free. The avocado mix and the regular salsa are a must. I love the fresh cilantro as well! It’s been over a year that this location had an interior makeover in the dining area. It’s a lot easier to clean and more spacious than before. I like the new look. Parking is never an issue. It’s a shared parking but it doesn’t get as filled. I suggest to be more cautious out at the lot during night time. Lock your cars. It tends to get dark. Overall, it’s a dependable restaurant, consistent on the service and a clean environment to eat in. TWOTHUMBSUP!

Food is usually good but they always run out of chicken & have customers wait over 30 minutes. Customer service isn’t the greatest. They usually have a salsa bar but it’s been empty for most of the time I’ve been waiting here. This location needs to work on cleanliness. Food and trash all over the floor & even found a roach right next to the cashier and she just dismissed it. After getting my order they tell me that they ran out of the sides i ordered. Extremely dissatisfied.

Sad thing is I love the food. I can’t excuse the incompetence or lack of sense of urgency. The customer service is severely lacking.

Pollo Loco is pretty good and this location is nice. They have plush seating, no tight around the tummy seats. Staff is attentive and cool. Had the 3 piece chicken meal, came with one leg and two thighs. For a buck more you can get a breast piece. Meal came with two tortillas and two small sides. I went with steam broccoli and mac and cheese, only wish the mac and cheese was hot, at best it was room temperature.

This El Pollo Loco has gone down hill recently. They refuse to honer discount coupons that are valid. If I have a discount coupon on an item, I’m forced to place separate orders so that I can get my senior discount on the other items. These problems all started when a new manager arrived. On my most recent visit, they substituted rice for corn on my side orders without informing me. El Pollo Loco has a strange formula in their register software that results in a 10% senior discount on items that are covered by coupons. They need to hire a programmer that understands basic mathematics to correct this problem and stop imposing restrictions on seniors using their coupons.

These people don’t listen every time I order I’m really specific with what I want in an order and 2 out of three times they always mess it up. Ex. Burrito no beans. Order guess what get beans next time, order 2 piece with white meat double broccoli as sides. Guess what get two piece regular meat and got charged for white meat. Big problem when you don’t listen to client when they order. I won’t becoming back here again. Also salsa is really watered down.

This is definitely one of the better El Pollo Loco places, last time we were here they said it would take 15 minutes(they were finishing cooking the chicken) but our order was ready and we were out the door by the time I filled the containers for salsa. Definitely a great bunch of staff here, very friendly and give me no grief when I ask for the bigger salsa containers. I just wish there was more consistency in their sauces. Some days the avocado salsa is thick, sometimes its like water.

This el pollo loco is disgusting, understaffed and filthy. One of the girls dropped someones meal on the ground, left it there and then another worker saw it on the ground and kicked it out of the way, and then the girl came back and kicked it to the trashcan like a soccer ball. Then as we were getting drinks the horchata machine started overflowing and the guy filling his drink tried to let them know but they just put some cones in front of the drink machine. The trash cans were overflowing. Tables dirty. Will never return!!!

El Pollo Loco is where I go when I’m in the mood for grilled chicken(as opposed to fried, rotisserie, baked or smoked chicken, all of which have restaurants that specialize in them). There isn’t much that separates one El Pollo Loco location from the other as they are pretty much setup similar to each other. All have an open kitchen dominated by a huge fire grill behind the ordering station so that you can actually see your chicken being grilled. This El Pollo Loco is located on the corner in a small strip mall on Carson and Main which always seems to be busy so parking is tight but manageable. I generally get the Meal for 2($ 13.50) which includes 4 pieces of grilled chicken, your choice of 2 corn or wheat tortilla, 3 small sides, 2 small loco salads with dressing, 2 chocolate churros and 2 small drinks which is a hell of a lot of food for 13 bucks and change almost enough to feed a small army. The downside is that it generally takes them about 20 minutes to get this order ready, but the good thing is that lately they will tell you up-front while ordering that it will take 15 – 20 minutes to get the order so you know before hand about the wait. I’ve tried most of their side and like the corn of cob, rice and beans the best. The mac and cheese is too heavy so I would not recommend that. The chicken has been on point 9 out of 10 times so no issues there. Lately they have been promoting their baja shrimp menu so during my last visit I decided to give that a try and got the shrimp verde enchilada($ 6.79). Taste wise the shrimp was perfect, rice was great but the verde sauce on the enchiladas had a distinct bitter finish. I’m not sure if that’s how it is supposed to taste or if the tomatillos been overcooked but I did not like it very much so I plan to stick to the chicken here and go to some other place for enchiladas. I like that El Pollo Loco has a clean and well stocked salsa bar with limes, pickles, pico de gallo and two types of salsa that you can help yourself too. Their salsa is not on the level of Taco Sinaloa but is still pretty good. They also have a machine that dispenses horchata next to the dinks counter, this is a little sweet and milky but it’s available. Cleanliness of the dining area is not up to the mark(the kitchen area seems to be clean). I’ve always observed that the trash cans at the entrance are overflowing. A couple of times I noticed that even when their contents are emptied the big plastic bags full of trash are just kept beside the trash cans rather than being hauled away immediately. Table are also not turned fast. Most times I see that the runner will take her sweet time to clear the dishes and half heartedly wipe down the tables. Anyway it does not make too much difference to me as I’ve always got my order to go. Despite it’s drawbacks I keep returning periodically, as the food is reasonably good for the price paid.

This El Pollo Loco shows how little they think of their customer base in this area. The place is always filthy, trash & crumbs all over the floor, it’s hard to find a clean table to sit at, you can’t set your salsa cups on the counter of the salsa bar without getting salsa on it from the counter. The lines are always long, the chicken is often dried out from over cooking and I’ve come here on many occasions when they are out of chicken breast and it’s over 30 minutes wait. I don’t know what kind of standards EPL corporate sets down to their franchisees. But this owner is horrible and should not have the privilege of owning this place.

Do you have time to waist in buying chicken for your family? If you do this is the place for you!!! I was there 2÷23÷14 a Sunday with light customers around noonish. The cashier told me that is would be a 30 minute wait for chicken. WTF? You guys ran out of chicken? 30 minutes to pluck, cut the chicken? Or 30 minutes to defrost and grill? This place sucks and if you read the other reviews below, its time to close shop at Carson’s pollo loco, the real«locos» are the customers who want to eat and keep going to this shitty establishment. STAYAWAY — I’ve been there around 5 times and waited an average of 20 minutes each time. LOOOOOOOOOOOOONGASWAIT!!!
