Gamestop

Found out this past friday the 11^th, that the Disney Infinity Boba Fett figure was dropping on today, tuesday the 15^th. Literally started calling saturday, and got nothing. Called sunday exactly 3pm, again nothing. Called yesterday, monday noonish, and proceeded to just let the phone ring forever, which is how i find out they dont have one of those generated voice machines to call back. Nope. Just rings forever.
I actually gave 1 star because the store itself usually carries what im looking for. Checked online to see if they had it in stock and they do.
Im not expecting FRIENDLY customer service but i expect service and to have my questions answered, i dont care if their ass****s about it, just answer my questions.
After this incident, i decided to make the Gamestop on Atlantic my go to spot.
Called them right now actually 4:59pm, answered IMMEDIATELY, and i asked if they can put a figurine on hold for me. Must be fate, cuz no lie… the employee who picked up was named Jason

1 star because I can’t give zero, I waited in line for 10 minutes (3 people behind the counter, all dying to avoid eye contact) before I walked out. By the way I was the ONLY person in line. Not like anyone has asked if I’ve been helped anyway. These people want 15 $ an hour… (The subject of which my transaction was ignored)

This place does not answer their phones worth a damn. I literally saw one of their workers «Mike» not answer one call. I would have saved myself so much time calling, but I had to drive and walk in to see if they had any $ 99.99 Dark Soul Figures. They were limited to GS so I could’ve gotten a yes or no. Step your Game up GameStop. Smh

PROS:
— For a small store they have a wide selection of games both new and used. Plus if you are looking for a newer game but don’t want to pay full price ask if they have a used copy for way less plus you can get a warranty on it just in case.
— Midnight releases are not too packed! Maybe a hundred or so people show up.
— Maria the employee is very knowledgeable. She’s cute and very sweet :)
— Location is perfect right off the 405 freeway exit.
CONS:
— Parking is very limited. You have to watch out because there are people coming in and out all the time. I got rear ended once but it was minimal. So just keep an eye out for cars and pedestrians.

The short latina manager is so demeaning. I ask a question, and she answers me as if I’m supposed to know where stuff is located. Um, that’s why I asked her. I gave 2 stars, because at least the other 2 employees were helpful.

So I’m indifferent about video games. Personally I’d rather get them on amazon or direct download but my 14 year old brother loves this location.
He seriously prefers it over the one on Sepulveda and Dolores. So I asked him why and I paid extra attention the next time I took him to the store.
The customer service is great. Everyone gets greeted, they process transactions with efficiency, and the staff is knowledgable. And I know you’re thinking «duh». But no, not «duh».
This makes a world of difference to anyone who has questions such as «What FPS games can you recommend?»
And yes you could probably just find recommendations on some forum but the customer service here has allowed my brother to build a familiarity with the staff.
They’re eager to help you in anyway possible. It’s just freaking great.
In fact the only thing bad about GameStop in general, not this location, is that they totally don’t give you your money’s worth when you sell used games or systems to them.

The short, chubby, Latina assistant manager is nearly useless and easily flustered.

Excellent customer service! I’ve found games here that I could not find at any other Gamestop closer to Gardena.

The location is small but always looking neat and organized

The guys here really know their games. My boyfriend can practically spend hours talking about game details with the staff.
But the reason why it deserves 5 stars…
–Everything is well organized. It’s a plus that used games are in alphabetical order. Other locations should fix that.
— staff is of course awesome and helpful. Got a question? They will most likely have an answer.
–they call you the day before a game is released (if you reserved it of course). Other locations I’ve encountered promise to call you, but they never do.
This location is a bit tiny compared to most, but it’s superior is appearance and customer service.
Parking is however difficult. It’s cramped and there’s only a few spaces that must be shared with AT&T, starbucks and Verizon. I park across the street in the IKEA parking lot and jay walk my way to avoid parking problems.
