I’ve been going here for convience and mostly for the postal service. I’ve been several times. Their gas prices are 30 to 40 cents higher than most gas stations near by. The items they sell are way over priced. I got two juices one day I was under the weather. Over 8 dollars. If you are shipping something(and I like to make sure my items get scanned if prepaid) they make you wait until the food line is gone. Even if more people get in line after you got there you’ll wait until there is no one in the food line. Today the item I shipped was $ 2.69. They have a $ 3.00 minimum. Per the visa/master card agreement, a place of business cannot have a minimum. And I get it, if someone buys something for a dollar, the price to run the transaction is at least half of that. But I was shipping something not buying a single pack of gum. So after about my 5th time going here, I will only use this place if I have a prepaid item to ship. Nothing more.

I used to eat here a lot for lunch. Had not had one of their subs in about 5 years. Got one yesterday as I was in a hurry and they have not changed at all. The place seems clean, service is fast and friendly. The price is OK for what you get. My only issue is the bread is flavorless and there is not much selection of ingredients. The subs are on the boring side(I prefer Harris Teeter for subs as the selection and flavor is better) but still better than like a Sunway. I got a fountain drink and the syrup ratio was off so I could not drink it.

A couple of years ago I went here for their Tacos… they were SOO good! big, dripping, fall apart in your hands goodness. They were really cheap too but I don’t remember the price. The reason I haven’t gone back is to save myself from them! But this time I stopped in and got a more sensible Sub Sandwich; Pastrami and Provolone. It was good! A little salty, i thought, but good nonetheless. The pre-made iceburg lettuce salads looked good too, but I’m all about fresh dressings and I don’t know what type of dressings they offer there, I’m guessing little packets. I may just have to go back and find out!

Ok, some of y’all are going to give me a hard time. Yes, I’m a foodie but I can keep it real! And sometimes real means grabbing a sandwich-sub at Capi’s on Regency Parkway. Why eat at a gas station? Well because it’s literally a ¼ mile from my office parking lot and often or not, I’m in such a tight lunch squeeze that proximity is the key factor! But that’s not to say the Capi’s doesn’t put out a decent sandwich because they do. Choose from about 12 or so types of cold and hot sandwiches, I’ve done the pastrami and chicken club, they’re around $ 5 each. While the pastrami was a bit thin on meat, the Capi’s club is dense with lots of filling and meat. A great deal at the price. Toss in the freshly toasted bread(sorta like Amoroso’s) and you’ve got yourself a meal! Grab a bag of chips on the way out and you’re good to go. So don’t laugh at me but Capi’s does a fine job for a quick sub. While you won’t get the variety you could get at Quizno’s or Subway, what is on the menu is decent here. And yeah, I could probably hit this place with a rock from my office, bonus points!

Capi’s Exxon Deli and Bakery was a freakin’ ghost town… There was absolutely no living soul around except for my family and the friendly cashier. Not even the gas pumps were given the light of day. The place was so quiet you could hear a cheese slice drop. Capi’s(as you would OBVIOUSLY see if you could read)…(but then again why would you be reading this if you COULDN’T read) is inside an Exxon gas station. It is like your typical gas station, only better. Every thing was clean and organized and there were like a gazillion types of chips to choose from. We went up to the counter and ordered food, just like any decent sub place. I have to admit though,(sadly) this place is slightly better than my ultimate favorite Jersey Mikes. The prices are low, the food is good, there is no line, and its clean. Heck you can even get a large drink for only 1.40. The seating area is small and that is partly because of the huge selection of other things they sell there. Most people would say(including my mom…*sigh*) that when there is nobody at a restaurant, it is not a good sign. This is quite the contrary for Capi’s. While the food may not be as good as Subway or other leading sub establishments, there prices are so slim that its worth it. That’s not the only thing that’s slim though… There subs are only 10 in. instead of 12… That’s probably for the best. Capi’s is a great place to go if you’re in the mood for a sub and some peace and quiet. (*~_~*)

Coolest gas station deli I’ve been in since the Rapid Stop in Cleveland and much cleaner and in a much nicer neighborhood. Sorry East 55th Street, but it’s true. In the morning you’re greeted with the smells of breakfast orders cooking up on the flat top. They’ve got a case of grab and go sandwiches and biscuits. I got me a ham biscuit that was excellent. Self-serve coffee off to the side and a very friendly owner/operator behind the counter makes for a very nice atmosphere. Afternoon lunch brings more great smells, great local favorites and a steady crowd. As a convenience store at a gas station, they’ve got the regular selection of snacks and such, but you can get that anywhere. But watch the time — Capi’s is not a late night option!

Chicken club sandwich and breakfast tacos are awesome. Can get busy but worth the wait.
