Plenty of beer on tap. Neat corner building look. Traveling for business i ate at bar. Had the pulled pork with the spirit sauce. Good sandwich. Lots of sauce. Also had Caesar side salad. Very good. I felt prices were appropriate. Had a little trouble getting bartender’s attention. But once I did all was fine. Will definitely return.

First off cheers to review number 300! Spirits Pub & Grub I have missed you! I used to come here quite often when I lived around the area. Delicious bar food and great craft beer options. One of my favorite menu selections is the Beer Cheese Mac with Candied Bacon, amazing! Service can be hit or miss but this is delicious food for a sports bar!

One of the better pubs around. The food is pretty incredible and the drinks — I highly recommend their Sangria — are too. I’ve only ever been in during the afternoon with large groups, but they are always very accommodating and friendly. Oh, and if you’re just looking for drinks and a snack while enjoying the game, do yourself a favor and order a side of sweet potato fries and marshmallow fluff. You will not be disappointed.

We went here before a game for a quick bite and a couple cocktails. The ambience is nice and service was pretty good, but we didn’t care for the food. I should have known better than to order a Philly Cheesesteak in Raleigh, but the menu was limited, and I figured you can’t mess up steak and cheese too bad… wrong. It just wasn’t good… at all! The cheese didn’t have much taste, and the steak was tough and of poor quality. Their signature dishes of different versions of Mac & Cheese looked great, but one of my companions had the BBQ Mac & Cheese said it didn’t have any flavor either. Good place for cocktails, but save your appetite for somewhere tastier!

Best«gastro-pubish» fare around. Always unique, well prepared and delicious. Excellent, eclectic beer selection with something for everyone, including the local craft favorites(I don’t think I saw one domestic«quencher» on tap… thumbs up!!). Creative, seasonal libations on the cocktail menu. Friendly, prompt, and genuine service overall. Keep it up!

Came here with a small group on a Sunday afternoon. Definitely a place to hang out with good quality food and a nice beer selection watching sports on TV. Waiter was very friendly and attentive. I ordered the chicken fingers appetizer and it was quite filling. The mild sauce had a nice kick to it, the blue cheese was nice and chunky, and the celery and carrots were thickly sliced and very fresh. Clean restaurant with average noise level considering it has a pub atmosphere. They happened to be serving 50-cent wings on Sunday.

The only reason for 4 stars is we can’t review the potato wedges. Apparently no longer served :( Otherwise it was GREAT! Mac and cheese. Killer. Beers. Killer Kale SALAD! Killer Will be back!

Every single time I go to this restaurant I’m more than pleased with every aspect. The food is insanely good. If you love Mac N Cheese you need to go here. Do yourself a favor and don’t eat all day… then go in and have a couple delicious beers off of the huge menu and order every variation of Mac on the menu and destroy them all. I’m talking about a massacre. Mac should be on the walls when you finish. Be sure to bring someone to get you home safely. You’ll be lost in a Mac N Coma for a few hours afterwards.

Watched the NC State game at Spirits and had lunch on a Saturday. I like the menu at this place — tons of options and inventive specials for a sports bar. We had a hard time deciding between the the chicken and waffle lollipops and something called«turkey bombs», which sounded like Thanksgiving in a single bite. We went with the lollipops and DANG they were so good. Sweet waffle batter, juicy chicken and spicy jalapeño glaze. So unique and a large portion. We also had the buffalo chicken salad which was great, but I’ve yet to find a buffalo chicken salad that beats Draft House’s. I think their ranch was homemade, which is a nice touch. The venue is fine, clean, spacious, not thrilling. The bathrooms looked someone had a wild Friday night at Spirits and the cleaning crew hadn’t been in yet. Service has been consistently good, not remarkable. My main gripe with this place is the cost of beer — $ 6 for a pint of Alesmith IPA when I could go down the street to Woody’s and be drinking local pints for $ 3, plus limited craft beer on draft. Plenty of Bud and Miller, which is fine for a sports bar but we like to be fancy in Cary with our day drinking.

My wife and I have been to Spirits a few times. This is a good place to grab dinner and a drink for the most part. I had the french dip and my wife had a salad both plates were good. However I found it «interesting» that when I looked at my bank statement a few days later the server had«decided» to add an additional $ 2 to her tip amount. Obviously $ 2 is not a huge deal but not exactly honest business. This will probably make me choose another place to grab dinner next time we think about going to Spirits. Disappointing, because as I said, the food and atmosphere are pretty good.

How hard is it to get two glasses of water before ordering? Obviously, very hard… We decided to try Spirits tonight for drinks snd dinner. Needless to say we left without even getting the waters. As our waters sat on the bar for a very long time., Our waitress was too busy talking to other servers and rummaging through her purse. At this point we were very hungry, and of course, thirsty. We decided to leave. To our surprise, well not really. We walked past the servers and not one even noticed or said, «Have a great evening» So sad we will not be returning!

Excellent wings; go with the blue cheese dressing over the ranch. More importantly, the drinks are tall and stiff. The bartenders know what they are doing and they make’em right. This is my new watering hole when I’m in town!!!

Surprisingly good fish tacos! Didn’t expect seafood to be good here in North Carolina or at a bar, but these fish tacos were awesome! $ 12 for 2 huge fish tacos and a side of rice and beans. The fish was a few pieces of fried tilapia so of course anything fried is delicious! Left the restaurant full and happy.

As far as sports bars go, Spirits is one of my favorites. It’s tucked away in Cary, so it’s never super crowded, which is a big plus for me. It’s not fancy or chic or trendy like the places you’ll find downtown, but it gets the job done. The beer list is great, food is good, and the servers are friendly. I’ve been here a couple times since I’ve moved to the Raleigh area, and I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in the mood for drinks and a low-key dinner.

Great to hang out and have a drink. Went there with a friend last week, loved the IPAs. Also got the sangria, sleigh crush, house fries and fish tacos. Beers — excellent! We got their beer samplers collection(called the«beer flight» or something like that). Told our server to surprise us and we were! Loved all that she got out for us :) Sangria — wouldn’t recommend it. it tasted horrible. like rotten fruit :( Sleigh crush — brandy-based cocktail with notes of raspberry etc. nicely done! Fish tacos — having lived in California for quite a bit, I’m very picky about the tacos. but this came quite close to what you would expect to get in Cali. my taste buds were happy! Will definitely go back. it’s cool that we have this place so close to home in Raleigh/Cary!

Awesome food and great beer! You can’t ask for more in a Pub! Make sure to try the Hummus Platter, Volcano Shrimp Tacos, and the Turkey Bombs(if available).

Great little casual dining, sports bar atmosphere. The food was probably even a step above a pub, and everyone was friendly and mostly efficient. Everyone at the table raved about their shepherd’s pie, which apparently used to be a regular menu item and now only pops up occasionally on special. I enjoyed a Cobb salad(sub steak for chicken because beef) for lunch and then later for dinner because the portion was pretty liberal(like Cobb salads are on occasion). FYI — Google Maps tells you you’ve arrived at your destination when you are in the middle of the road so keep your eyes peeled. I ended up in the questionable shopping center across the street because it was the easiest way for me to turn from the direction I came.

Went here last night with a group of dads for a dads night out… And this is just your typical pub. There is nothing special at all, a few TVs, a bar, some fables and typical pub grub… The beer selection is ok, definitely not great but nice… The best part we hit happy hour on drafts, which could make it reasonable. The place wasn’t busy and was helped immediately. Our waitress was also very pleasant. For the group of 8 of us, we never really had empty glasses and was always around when someone wanted to order. Now to the food, I ordered the heart attack burger as I am sucker for burgers that have breakfast on top(egg and bacon). This is usually my test of a pub to see if they can get the fried egg right. Chalk up another place that completely overcooked the egg… It was very disappointing as the burger was cooked perfectly(medium). Was lacking a little seasoning, but still a decent burger. Since its just a pub, starts with 4 stars, the way overcooked egg knocked it to 3. The sweet potato chips looked solid as did the wings. The Mac ‘n cheese is definitely not worth the price based on the portion size. The biggest disappointment was one of the guys got the special of chicken fried steak it was terrible looking. It might have been the size of a hamburger not even close to the size of the plate. The cabbage looked nasty, something out of your nose… Very very meh…

We live about a mile away from this place, so when we want to go out to eat but don’t want to drive far we usually come here. They have a sports bar feel with several tv’s and outdoor seating. Unfortunately if you do sit in the nice outdoor area it’s considered«smoking» and the«non smoking» outdoor area is enclosed by bushes and sometimes vinyl panels. Spirits has great food and a wide variety of it at that. They have monthly specials where you will find a appetizer, salad, burger, wing sauce, entrée or two and mac and cheese. They do change their menu from winter to summer, usually the fish leaves in the winter months. Some of our favorites are the sweet potato chips appetizer, fish tacos, bbq mac and cheese, greek salad with shrimp. I will mention their fries are like KFC’s potato wedges and not good in my opinion. The reason why they do not get 5 stars is because of service recently within the last six — eight months. DONOT go here is you are looking for something fast… even when there is only 4 other tables in the restaurant. I believe the servers slack off more when they are slow. We now will only eat at the bar or outside when its nice.
