Was starving and wasn’t sure where to go so we picked this place and we sure glad we did! Nice friendly service and yummy food! Sat by the window and had a great view of the river and bridge. The shoe string onion rings are super yummy! Plus the clam chowder super was great too!

It definitely has the view going for it(amazing) but not much else as far as I could tell… food was OK but pretty underwhelming — just mediocre stuff you could get at any average snack bar. It was very clean, so there was that. Staff was OK although there was minimal interaction since you order at the counter. Nothing was terrible but I wasn’t impressed by anything either. It seemed like sort of a waste to have such a mediocre restaurant in such an awesome space.

This place is so sad now that’s it’s under new ownership. Who changes the name of a place that has been a local favorite since 1963!!! No more root beer shakes, no more good onion rings, no more history. Beautiful view, but wasted space. I shed a tear for Charburger.

I hate to give a bad review but by doing this hopefully it’ll give them a chance to improve on things. If not for the friendliness, wonderful service and hard working staff I almost gave them a 1 star rating. First, I ordered a cup of tomato soup. It was room temperature. Then I tried the marion berry pie with ice cream. The dough was under cook. The coffee was watered down too. I was so disappointed. It’s a nice place to grab some food after a day of hike. The view was amazing but the food needs some TLC.

Oh man ok where do I begin, the atmosphere… Super cool, the window seats look out onto the river and the bridge. Food holy shit by far the best chicken sandwich I have ever had! I was thinking about it still 2 days later. My husband got the bacon burger so so so so good! Fries are on point the service is friendly and fast! If you are near by you must stop in

Great Clam Chowder and Fish and Chips. Wonderful lunch with a cold beer after a morning of hiking. The view compliments the food.

I have always enjoyed great food whenever I have been in. The view over looks the Columbia River and it is a fantastic backdrop for any time of year.

Ate here a few times this spring, because of staying at nearby hotel. Pros: Million Dollar View, friendly and efficient staff, great breakfast, and dinner salad bar is decent. Cons: Burgers are the main dinner item on the menu hamburger patty’s appear to be frozen not fresh and are often burned and charred way too much, fries are way to salty and often served cold. Clam chowder ugh… don’t even go there way to salty. Salad bar only bright spot. To sum it all up skip dinners here but awesome place for breakfast. If the owner could improve the burgers, it would be an all around solid place to eat.

great place for a burger and the view is fantastic. The marionberry pie is awesome. If you are in the gorge it is a great place to eat.

Everything we ate was delicious. The Western Chicken Burger with fries was good. The thin sliced onion rings were especially tasty(sweet). I also liked the salad bar because of the bite-size servings and nice selection. There are many gluten free offerings, including Salmon Chowder, which was excellent. The atmosphere, views, prices and service were excellent, but the best part is that there was no wait(unlike the 40 min wait down the road).

This is a business where you can tell a great deal of care is put into everything. There are many historical pieces of art, weapons, photography, and models hanging all over the place. The view from the booth seats is just breathtaking. They have 3 rooms… The main dining, a back sort of banquet room, and then the downstairs bar area. You walk in and order what you want first and then Have a seat. They are really good about making it relatively fast. If you were hungry and need something like NOW, this is a good place to go. The cooks really try to make new foods and make it amazing, they really care about the quality of the food. They are also very good about cleanliness. The salad bar is pretty deluxe, they have everything you could want on a salad and tons of things to fix up one of their delicious burgers with, although you rarely need anything. They have unique specials. The clam chowder and salmon chowder are awesome. Their chili is amazing too, especially when smothering a large hot dog with fries. Their desserts are awesome. Apple pie ala mode, marionberry crumble, bread pudding. Just yummy! The staff is friendly and all about customer service. Just a fantastic business in Cascade Locks with awesome food and amazing service. Thank you

Fast, friendly service. Good food, awesome views. Burgers are served a bit rare, so step your cooking preference up one notch and you’ll be happy.

Atmosphere was fun and had a western cafeteria air. Staff were helpful and seemed to enjoy good customer service. I was happy to see consistent cleaning and good food service practices. We enjoyed the salad bar, salmon and clam chowder, however the chill dog was unpleasant and we did not even eat it… We will come back for the view and other food items.

I’m sorry but this place was awful. If you eat healthy at all, then to me this place was awful. I’m giving it two stars because we were starving when we went there. Went on a hike that ended up being 14 miles instead of 8. so all of us were starving… and perhaps we should have gone to the pizza place, but we ended up here. :(Beers in a bottle were $ 4. Wow. Everything was so expensive for what it was. I had the Salmon burger hoping it would be fresh, but it wasn’t. I was too hungry to care… really I was. Even ate fries I wouldn’t normally eat. Couldn’t even finish them. It was like expensive fast food to me. My boyfriend told me after that his burger was cold. Not lukewarm but cold. Like it had been sitting there for some time. I would have sent it back, but he was too hungry to say anything. Ate all his fries though… left part of the burger. If I can help it… I wouldn’t go back. We all were starving and just about to eat anywhere… one person had just fries, for she couldn’t stand the menu overall. Anyhow, that’s my 2 cents… for whatever it is worth.

Very casual, order from the front and seat yourself atmosphere. Very accommodating for special dietary needs. They lettuce wrapped my burger last night, and held the fries and hash browns when I asked at breakfast this morning. Food fresh made. If I were able to eat pies and pastries, I’d have been all over that bakery display!

Cafeteria style. Order first, pay then have a seat while waiting for them to deliver to you serve yourself coffee. I Love this concept. No waiting for someone to take your order or waiting for the bill. Food was fresh off the griddle. Greasy BUT this is what you come here for

After a long day hiking we stopped in to grab a bite to eat. I was pleasantly surprised by how clean and orderly the restaurant was. The view of the river was amazing! Immediately upon walking you will find the order counter. You grab a tray and order cafeteria style. Upon seeing this I expected the food to be the typical«out of the bag into the fryer» type place, so I thought I’d play it safe and order the salad bar and some onion rings. I was so surprised when what arrived were scratch made battered rings that were delicious. The salad bar was fresh and contained a few scratch made salads like potato salad. I do think for an $ 8 salad that a few extra toppings would be great, maybe chicken or bacon, or something to pad the cost. Over all I was very pleased and will definitely visit again!

I’ve been here a few times. Not sure if they just had a name change or new ownership, but either way the food and service is about the same. The food is about what you would expect for your average grill and I cant really comment on most of the menu. Normally when I stop by I have coffee and something like soup or a desert. Always been good for me. As it is a tourist spot, the crowds are a drawback during peak seasons. As a place to stop by on a fall/winter day while hiking in the gorge, awesome.

New name but this place was known for years as CharBurger and while the outside and the sign has changed the interior and the menu are the same, thank goodness! So for now, go to the old CharBurger listing and see my and other reviews there. But the synopsis is, this place is awesome and you should stop by if you are in the area!
