More like Juan’s kitchen. Ordered the seafood and it smelled like the fish monger’s daughter. I had to send it back. So much msg on the food it gave me chest pains. Service was okay but unless you appreciate a $ 2.45 cup of tea than be my guest. I would have been better off at Panda Express.

My husband and I ordered take out from here b/c of all the positive Unilocal reviews. Our experience was terrible. The food was filled with sodium, stale, and made us feel sick. The dishes we ordered were the orange chicken and the shrimp chow mien. The shrimp tasted and smelled really funky, and the chicken tasted horrible. Never coming here again. We both felt sick the next day too and had to pop a bunch of Tums. If I could give a ZERO star I would. Don’t believe the reviews.

Great food for a good price. The taste of their food is consistent for all the days I have been here. Honey walnut shrimp, orange chicken, bbq chow mien, spicy pork chop — my favorites. Theie lunch buffet is priced well. But don’t expect to see a wide selection of food. I still think ordering their entrees is better!

This place has really good authentic Chinese food. Have tried a few of their dishes several times in the last few weeks. Very satisfied with the service and the delicious food. Hidden gem in Santa Clarita Valley!

Very delicious Chinese food, highly recommend, just one thing, very stingy with the napkins, purchased over $ 100 of food and only received about 10 napkins

I was newly in film-making school, and exploring the eateries of the area. I hiked over to the place, and was greeted when I pulled on the door. The greeter led me and my friends to a table, and when we said we wanted the buffet, he gestured towards it. It was around noon, and it looked as if it had been picked over fairly well. Some of the items also looked as if they’d been there a little while. My friends and I made several trips to the buffet, picking at what we could. Once or twice over the course of the meal new plates of stuff would be brought out to replace the empty items. The items were decent, standard chinese food items. Nothing overly spectacular, nothing overly horrendous. It’s a solid ‘Meh” lunch buffet. Mayhap on my next visit I’ll avoid the buffet, and order something from the menu. Since school began, I’ve actually been here twice, and upon my visits, I always notice the signage. All around the place there are signs up stating«Credit card payments require $ 20 minimum» Both times I’ve been there I offered up my card for payment after the buffet,(around 11 dollars) and they’ve taken it. Once they added a dollar to the bill, once they did not. So depending upon your server, you’re going to possibly pay more if your bill is under $ 20.
Some other reviews said ‘Best Chinese in Castaic’ I think a more appropriate title would be ‘only Chinese in Castaic’ So all in all, the buffet is meh. The people are polite. They might charge you that extra dollar, they might not. Maybe bring cash? Maybe pay for your buddy? Maybe go somewhere else? I dunno.

I’ve been working nearby for 10 years, I eat here once a week and I’m still not tired of it. Everything I’ve tried is delicious! My favorites are the Kung pao chicken, fried rice, and the egg flour soup.

I’m at about 3.5 stars on this place. A friend recommended this place. Tucked in a mini mall on the grapevine truck stop. Parking shares with lots of small businesses. Most places were closed on Sunday so I got up front parking. Large restaurant. Steps up to 2 separate dining areas and has the cheesy chinese décor. The 2 men who helped take my order to go were neither mean or friendly, just taking the order, the money and moving on with their job. Spent about $ 50 for all what I ordered. So its plates are close to $ 9 each. I went big and ordered a huge mix of my typical favorite. Order came out quickly. Less than 10 mins. And off I went. 3 small Togos of steamed rice for free. Awesome! Egg foo young appetizer. 4 pieces of perfectly square egg and white sprout patties in a yellow gravy. Was not impressed the least bit. The patties were flavorless. The gravy helped a little bit but I didn’t care for this at all. I ate a ¼ piece and tossed the rest. Shrimp chow mien… damn! This was the best part of the whole meal. Very surprised because all chow mien dishes from every place I’ve been to are just simple and never the eye opener. Not sure what’s in it but it was hands down the best chow mien I’ve had. And they load it with shrimp. They didn’t skimp on the shrimp. Pineapple chicken. This is one of my favorite dishes and hard to find. And it was very good here. Fried chicken pieces in sweet sauce with pineapple chunks. I was pleased with it. Orange chicken wasnt the best. Prepped the same way as pineapple chicken but in a reddish orange flavor sauce. It was good but didn’t taste like how orange chicken should. Lacking the ginger tang to it. It was closer to a pungent sauce than orange sauce. I wouldn’t order it from here again. Mixed vegetables in brown sauce. This was a winning dish. Reminded me of another favorite place of mine. Nice mix of veggies in a simple brown sauce. I’d get this again! So 3⁄5 dishes were very good and I’d come back for them. I guess I gotta find a few other things on the menu to wow me and then ill be content with my usual dishes. So far of all the chinese places I’ve tried in SCV this place had the most dishes that I liked. Most places I eat them and they are just ok and I don’t care to come back. But this place had a few things going for it, the chow mien, pineapple chicken and mixed veggies.

I’ve never really eaten inside here before but let me tell you this, as far as Asian cuisine this is the best in the Santa Clarita valley. The takeout is exceptional. I usually order the woks fried rice(delicious!!!) or woks chow mien but occasionally I will order the cashew chicken. The price is very reasonable for the amount of food. If you order all three items I just mentioned that would be enough for about four people. I usually order only one item and it will last me a couple days. Easily the best Asian cuisine in the valley and they are always friendly and quick when I order over the phone.

Wow. The best tasting Chinese food is the Santa Clarita Valley. I can’t believe this place is at a truck stop. Amazing food and a wonderful staff. I recommend the pineapple chicken(ask for it spicy). I truly believe the prices are low and the amount of food you get is way too generous.

So we were going to get Mexican tonight but drove by this place and decided to try something new. My husband got the curry chicken and I got pork mooshi. We were taken a back by how good everything was!!! Very delicious. We got great, fast and attentive service and the place is air conditioned, clean and quiet. Looking at other reviews a lot of people get takeout here too. Great place! Definitely coming back!!!

I was surprised I liked it. This is the hole in the wall of hole in the walls. Definitely better than the other Chinese restaurants in the area(there are none). This restaurant has the look of ‘70s Chinese restaurant décor but I don’t mind since the food is good. I ordered from the menu but I noticed they have a lunch buffet. The buffet looked like the way to go if you’re hungry. The prices off the menu were really reasonable so I’d rather have something made to order. Service was good. The server could tell it was my first time there and explained the ingredients and described the order accurately.
