Dr. Raffa has been our family optometrist since he was at the old location in Centennial. Today I pick up my fourth set of glasses. My wife and youngest daughter also have glasses prescribed by Dr. Raffa. Each experience has been really good, from a convenient appointment time(OK, maybe we have been just lucky), to a short wait in the office, quick check-in, and very knowledgeable and efficient staff. Each time, they have verified my insurance coverage ahead of my appointment, so there was no confusion about what my insurance covers and what I pay. Dr. Raffa is quick and methodical, and asks a lot of questions, leading to what I feel are good decisions about my vision. I am a private pilot, I also race cars, sail, ski and play golf, and I work in front of a computer, so he tailors my prescription to meet my needs. His staff is very helpful in picking out frames to suit my needs and budget. He is not the cheapest. You get what you pay for. If you want cheap, go to Walmart. If you want expert advice and have some special vision needs, see a true experienced professional. I imagine we will be customers at Vision Center at least as long as Dr. Raffa runs the practice.

My wife and I had a very bad experience at this new Eye Glasses clinic in Castle Rock… We tried to use our Vision Service Plan benefits and got the run around. Dr. Raffa’s staff wanted to charge us $ 150 for glasses for our daughter with our VSP benefits. When we decided not to purchase them they tried to tell us that they had already pre-authorized our VSP benefits and couldn’t cancel the pre-authorization. We went to Walmart optical and they were nice, called the VSP and got the pre-authorization changed over to Walmart. We ended up paying $ 20 for the same glasses. So basically Dr. Raffa’s staff lied.
