Average! My wife and a few friends thought we might try the parrot for a change, our experience: regret. But on the positive side we will never go back. Wouldn’t be surprised to see this establishment on a Kitchen Nightmares or like show.

Beyond slow! I came last year and and again this year. It is clearly a slow paced restaurant. The bartenders are nice but it takes too long to get your food and a bill. We ordered two salads and a sandwich to go. It took over 45 minutes to get our food and it wasn’t busy. The food is good but not worth the aggravation of trying to grab lunch and get back to work.

I went on a Saturday where they had live music. Waited about 40 minutes for dinner, however, the bartender was very attentive and kept up with the beers. Lo and behold, the Buffalo Chicken Mac and Cheese was great with the shells and savory bits of chicken. Not as bad as you would think!

I like this place! Close to where I live. The seafood is really good. Waitstaff, are courtesies and service is good. Never leave hungry. The live entertainment is good, also!

This is an average place to get a bite to eat and a drink. Service is mediocre at best and not overly friendly. They are known for their slow service and I found that true. Went there twice, once for lunch bc we tried to use a cape daily deal on my iPhone which owner/manager wouldn’t take for some reason(laziness, all they needed was to write the voucher number down, but it is what it is) and then returned when we had it printed for dinner. First trip for lunch after mini golf we were served lukewarm draft beer after the owner/manager who was working knew the taps weren’t working served me two Sam Summers without saying a word. Took a while for service when the place was empty and just a few people at the bar and maybe one table. She was on her phone most of the time. Steak n cheese eggs rolls were decent but greasy. The turkey club was served on stale bread. Chicken sandwich was good however. Second trip was for dinner and they were out of steak n cheese egg rolls and settled for nachos which were served on a huge platter and enough to feed an army. They were good, but nothing special. We ordered the chicken sandwich again and also the scallops. They were both served w soggy fries and onion rings. Service was better but still slow and when we walked in no one greeted us or helped us get a table, we just sat ourselves. Our server was friendly and helpful. It’s not a bad place at all just don’t go there w any high expectations or looking for great service.

This afternoon we stopped in at this restaurant after mini golfing next door. What drew us in to this restaurant was the tantalizing smell of burgers wafting from this establishment. When we entered the restaurant the place was empty so we grabbed one of the booths near the door. The booth we sat at had a window that opened which we loved because of the incredible breeze blowing in. Our waitress came over accompanied by another waitress in training. The actual waitress was a bit lackluster, but the trainee was really polite. We ordered a round of rodeo burgers as well as their arancini balls which were on the menu. The waitress returned to inform us that the arancini balls had been discontinued from their menu and encouraged us to try their steak and cheese egg rolls. The food itself was really good, but the service was slow. The waitresses were attentive, but it too over 25 minutes to get our burgers and again the place was empty. In the end we would return for the food but hope that they pick up the pace in the kitchen.

Food was good, service was incredibly slow. It took 45 minutes to get our food and our waitress stopped by twice. Once to give us drinks and take our orders then once to bring us our food. To make matters worse when I order no one else was ordering or had food

Old neighborhood favorite if you like to hang out in a loud bar. The kitchen is slow and food is only ok, service is lousy and because they like to keep the doors propped open you have to swat off the flies while you eat. There is no real barrier that separates the bar from the dining room and it gets really loud and unpleasant if your trying to dine with friends. I would only go back if I wanted to hang out in the bar.

I’ve ate here twice and both times I was very disappointed. First time I dinned there I ordered the ribs. I don’t know what happened in the kitchen, but they were cut wrong. Every time I took a bite there was a little piece of bone mixed in with the meat. The next time I went there it was about 4 o’clock in the afternoon with my mom and no one was there. I go in, sit down, and neither one of us could get Wi-Fi on our phones, keep in mind there’s a huge sign out front saying FREEWIFI. I asked the waitress and she looked me like she’s never heard of the internet. Now for the food… I ordered the Buffalo chicken Alfredo, which sounds good in theory. When I got it, it was a soup of Alfredo sauce and hot sauce with chewy chicken pieces and over cooked broccoli. I sent it back. I even asked the waitress, looking at the dish, would you eat this??? Also I’m pretty sure it was microwaved. At one point I had to call the waitress over because there was seven flies constantly buzzing around us, landing on our food. I got my money back, never eating there again. Bar is okay.

Solid spot. cheap, good food and reasonably priced beers. Relaxed, fun atmosphere and better than a few competitors in the area. Try the voodoo chicken wrap or cape cod Reuben. Friendly staff

Stopped in as passing by and wish I had checked the reviews on my phone before I paid 30 bucks for a horrible salad for two. Actually did happen to be there on the «halfprice appetizers» day. Ordered 4 shrimp cocktails for appetizer and a salad with grilled chicken with plans to split it with my daughter. The waitress, only employee we saw for the hour we were there was extra friendly but she had the bar and the tables all alone. The horrible salad showed up long before the appetizer, the chicken was like rubber and made my daugher ask«Is this Fake chicken Mum»? Halfway thru the salad(we didnt eat the chicken) I figured she forgot we ordered the shrimp cocktail but was surprised to see her show up with it. It was just ok. Cold but mushy, possibly pre frozen? The bill was about 24 bucks, I left 30, a good tip but the food and lack of help isnt the servers fault so I didnt want to jip her, as I said She was friendly — a smilie goes a long way with me. Next time we take a ride down 28A We won’t be stopping in at the Parrot Bar & Grille.

The prices were OK, the food tasted OK, and the perky waitress did a great job for a party of 13… but… she may have been the only person working that night? The drink order of(3) identical pitchers of beer took a solid 30+ minutes to arrive at the table… the food then took over an hour to prepare and, even then, came out a couple of dishes at a time spread over 10 minutes… one order of Buffalo Chicken Mac(3) identical ordered) was made with fish… fish! Seriously? We all had an intensely busy day ahead of us and just wanted a hot meal, a few beers, and early bedtime… we were there for over 150 minutes. Won’t ever go there for dinner again, but would sit at the bar for drinks.

Great local spot with a friendly, upbeat staff, food and drinks are very good. Works well for a casual and fun family dinner or for hanging at the bar to watch a game

Awesome bar and bartenders. Food is good for a decent price. Tuesday night trivia is always fun. One of my favorites for the cape.

Place is a bit run down. Noisy, good for families. Service was really bad. Slow, had to ask twice for bread. They have a mini golf and game room on property so if u wanted to dump the kids there with 20 bucks and steal 30 min for a drink in the bar the place may work. Cant say I recommend the food. Very avg pub food.

Friendly service, easygoing, breezy atmosphere. Some booths, mostly tables. The fare here is nothing remarkable: sandwiches and fried seafood, maybe a token pasta dish. A good spot for a drink outside the summer hubub of Woods Hole and Falmouth, but not likely to end up a favorite. Apparently they have karaōke some nights.
