Saw this place here on Unilocal because I was looking for cheap Chinese food. This place is a little hole in wall in cathedral city. The food was amazing! Great value and generous portions. The war wonton soup was delicious! I highly recommend this place for fast easy and inexpensive Chinese food! Will definitely be back! Great service as well! Staff was very attentive!

**** MADEINCATHEDRALCITY **** The best, reasonably-priced, Chinese restaurant in town. Lots of meat dishes. Lots of vegetables… So FRESSSSSHHHHH and HOT! I could eat there three times a week. Note: NOMSG!

Aww man, WHY did it take me SO long to find this place? I had a hankering for some takeout Chinese food last night. My usual place had gone downhill of late, so I was looking for a new place. A quick Unilocal search and off I went. The restaurant is located in a shopping center anchored by Cardenas(another plus, as far as I’m concerned). The restaurant isn’t much to look at décor and ambience wise — but it was clean and at 8pm, there several full tables. I ordered Eggplant, Mongolian Beef and Chicken Fried Rice. It also came with a generous serving of white rice. First off — the servings are HUGE. I was hoping for leftovers and there are PLENTY! This was easily enough food for 3 people. Everything was super yummy. The chicken fried rice was loaded with large pieces of white meat chicken. Total for everything was $ 26. Yeah, I’ll be back. *** Update, I ended up getting 5 meals out of all that food and I EAT!

Did take out, the employees where so nice and our food came out in awesome time. Was a little hesitant with the bad reviews but I’m happy I decided to go.

After reading the reviews and a recommendation from a local, we tried this place out. Be prepared to come hungry, portions are huge! Good place to visit.

This food was salty, and otherwise fairly flavorless. It did not taste Chinese. I am pretty ticked off that I spent so much money on this.

It was ok, big portions but my sweet and sour pork was more doe than pork. My daughters orange chicken was ok she said Pandas was better. My husband had the beef cow mien he said he liked his.. The egg rolls were good. The fried rice was rice with soy sauce that’s it I thought fried rice had egg and peas and different stuff in it. Cheap meal, it was decent you get what you pay for I guess. The place is old.

This is a busy restaurant. It is a family run Chinese restaurant. We were there on a Thursday evening. The place was full. Given how busy they were I thought we had good service even if a little slow. My General Tsos Chicken was very good. My wife ordered Almond Chicken. She got peanuts instead of almonds.

Ok, so I came back with my family and it was a sit down meal this time. I thought I’d give this place another chance after the soups were so good. Ok, so I got a cup of wanton soup this time and the spicy chicken with half noodles and glad fried rice. And may I add, I asked for«Extra Spicy» chicken. Well, the soup was excellent and dumpling was flavorful. Definitely worth trying. Now, when my entrée was delivered an older gentleman(not the same one from my previous review) asked me if I was sure. LOL of course I’m sure, I knew what I was getting into and was prepared. I guess no one ever asks for that or something because people were looking at me as if I were on the TV show«Man vs food» HA! well, the noodles were good. The fried rice was unfortunately a little bit dry but nothing a little soy sauce couldn’t fix. And my chicken… well, it was spicy. AND delicious! They added more chili paste to give it an extra WHAM! Warning: if you like spicy food this still may be extremely hot for you. I like spicy food to a point where my sinuses open up, I’m constantly wiping my runny nose with a napkin, and alternating my bites with a swig of water. It’s like an experience for me because I truly enjoy spicy food. Just know, it’s hot and if you like to savor your food instead of heaving with your tongue out, just get the spicy chicken and don’t be courageous like me. The service was ok. The same gentleman that served me my food was nice, cheerful and welcoming. The others not so much. Overall, food was okay. Hit or miss with specific dishes and sides. Enjoy!

I really liked that the food was not only inexpensive, but also good tasting. They give you a hefty portion for less than some items at fast food restaurants. The service was prompt. We got our food probably within five minutes of ordering. The décor needs some work. There is a lack of decorations and the floor could use redoing, but really that doesn’t matter all that much.

First time going to this place. We loved loved loved it. The Mongolian beef is perfect, tender and juicy. And the orange chicken is very tasty with a strong orange flavor and fragrance. Going again next Friday.

Food is great and plentiful. Servers are friendly and efficient. You don’t go here for ambiance, but if you are looking for a reasonable meal(especially with kids) and you don’t want to leave still hungry, then this is the place. Had the egg foo young dinner special for less than $ 8 and couldn’t finish it.

The food is fresh, hot and delicious. One of the few places around that has the most delicious Singapore Style Noodles. The staff is friendly and on point. I highly recommend it, surely 5 stars!

Wow, thought it would be better(based on overall reviews}. New ownership? Everyone working there seemed dumb-founded. From service to food, nothing was good. OK, take that back. Mongolian beef was good. But the pork and chicken were very dry and flavorless and the ribs were down right gristle. Considering they were busy, it was amazing that the food tasted as though it were days old. We were seated and ordered by the same person, and then someone else brought our food out and then service became non-existant. Had to go ask for our bill so we could pay and leave. I’m hoping new ownership. They’re learning the hard way and hopefully will improve… but if it’s not, then they’ve just given up.

I had my mom and niece come out of town to visit– I called in advance to check the time they open-close and they answered the phone kinda rude, but it’s really hard to understand there accent. So anyways, the kid wanted authentic Chinese food– I myself haven’t had Chinese in over a year, but this is where I went my past 7 years. I have never ever been humiliated by a server and ignored by the entire staff. This place is out for the count.

So glad this place showed up heavy on the Unilocal radar. We were driving around Palm Springs wanting to avoid the heavily congested downtown area and needing to find a place to eat. We found this little gem on Unilocal after deciding to get Asian food and we were so not disappointed! It doesn’t seem like much from the outside, but once you’re seated in their cozy booths you’re offered a bowl of crunchy wonton noodles, yum. And they have plenty of choices for the dinner special, which offers an egg roll, fried rice or noodles, and one of almost 20 well-portioned entrees. We tried the almond chicken and orange chicken and they were both delicious. I also enjoyed my hot and sour soup very much. The prices are great too– less than $ 2 for the soup and around $ 7 or 8 for each dinner special — which, even though we were hungry, was enough food to take leftovers of. It was a great find and we both agreed that if we were local, this would be our go-to for dinner a lot more often.
