The place serves fantastic country food. The place is small, sometimes packed, and it’s always clean. The food is nothing spectacular, no culinary awards coming here, but I will say that the food is consistently good, flavorful, and fairly prompt. And to top it off, the staff are super friendly. It’s the type of place you want to be a regular at. It’s breakfast and lunch only, closing at 2pm. But if you walk in before the door is locked, you’re still served with cheer. No rushing, no dirty looks because you’re keeping them there. You’re made to feel welcome the whole time.

Service was good but the food was just ok. They definitely need more salt in everything. It is convenient if you’re staying at the BW but honestly the free breakfast at the BW was better.

Our waitress was very unfriendly and that is not cool. First impression of her was not good as it seemed like she was maybe possessed by an evil spirit? I dunno something was off! Then our food was served by someone much nicer but we didn’t get our toast. My boyfriend flagged her down as she was ignoring us. She snapped«what do you want?» While she was walking past our table. Then she knocked a cup of water over off our table which my boyfriend actually apologized to her for(trying to make light of her accident) claiming it was maybe his fault for putting the cup by the edge of the table(because it was empty and she was not coming by!). She seemed to agree that it was not her fault by not saying anything and then not cleaning up the mess but leaving the ice and lemon on the floor near our table like a public shaming as lots of elderly people shuffled past(unsafe). Service here is about what you will get most places in cedar. It seems the people around here are completely out of touch with the service industry standards of the rest of the country. The food was ok, so that is why I gave 2 stars. We won’t be going back. All American classic diner is less expensive and has MUCH better, friendlier, and faster service.

The service was friendly and prompt. I ordered the«build your own» omelette and it was AWESOME! They had these green chiles which really gave it a great flavor with the other veggies I chose. The hash browns needed some seasoning but were good. My husband ordered the Philly Cheese Steak and said it was very good. The locals here were very friendly as well.

Bacon: overcooked and brittle strips of something slightly bacon flavored. Gravy: out of a can and as salty as the sea. Biscuits: hard as store bought rocks. Hash browns: cut from a large flavorless bricks of some potato substitute. They put huge chunks of celery in their«Spanish sauce»(salsa). HUGE chunks! Service was good though… though not good enough to get me back into that place. Sad because I’d heard great things. Looks like I’m on to have to stick with All American.

Some of the worst service I’ve experienced in Cedar. Servers are unprofessional and consistently slow to seat and prepare meals. I only go because it’s the only breakfast place open on Sunday mornings. The most recent time eating here the waitress completely lost our bill and spent about fifteen minutes running around looking for«a little yellow piece of paper» before coming back to our table to redo it.

Great place to have breakfast. Biscuits and gravy are homemade and were very good. Bacon was cooked just the way we like it — very crispy! Service was very good as well!

Eat here! We have stayed at the hotel next door to this restaurant for years. The hotel comes with a free hot breakfast. YUCK is all I can say regarding that free breakfast. My husband and I decided we wanted to eat some real food today before our hike up at Cedar Breaks so we walked on over. It’s nice that this place is open on Sunday’s as so many places on Utah are closed. They open at 6:00 and close at 2:00. It’s located on Main Street right next to the Best Western Town and Country, across from Lin’s Grocery store. The menu looked pretty standard until we saw something called«The John Wayne». While we didn’t order it, I wish I had. It sounded so good. What I did order was awesome so please don’t get me wrong. I had the chicken fried steak and eggs. It’s served with really good hash browns and toast of your choice. The chicken fried steak was HOMEMADE! Fresh pounded and dipped and oh so tasty! The gravy was also fresh! I felt like I was in my grandmas kitchen. My husband had the biscuits and gravy served with eggs and bacon. He devoured his. The food here is quality and fresh. Not from some packet or jar. The service was great. Our waitress was friendly and carried on a friendly conversation with us. We sat at the counter by choice and the seats were big and comfy. Prices are cheap too! Can’t wait to come back to Cedar. We will definitely be eating here again. It’s rare that you find a place with fresh prepared food and at such reasonable prices.

Ate here twice and was very pleased. Had a breakfast of French toast and bacon and it was solid. For lunch I had burger and fries, also solid. Service was great and the atmosphere was very chill. I recommend this place and will return if I’m ever back in Cedar City.

The food was outstanding! Best burger, it was simple and the toasted bun was delicious! Clam chowder and French dip were amazing! Highly recommend and will definitely stop in again on our way through next time! Also very friendly and fast service!

Terrific«locals» place. Good food and great service. The staff is friendly and very hard working. Came here everyday for my last business trip. Breakfast day 1&2 and lunch day 2&3! Just remember they close at 2pm. The chicken fried steak like everything is definitely home made and a must for first timers.

Friendly service; even the cook said hello as I walked in past the kitchen. I had eggs, country sausage, and biscuits and gravy. You can tell they make their own gravy. Standard diner coffee. Small town local diner on the main street.

The food here was great. The waiters were attentive to our table and accommodating with our requests. The price is very affordable. If you like to «create your own breakfast» you can with the side orders. I recommend this place for breakfast. I will be coming again.

We enjoyed our Sunday brunch experience here while in Cedar. The pancakes and bacon were outstanding. The eggs were good. The hash browns were ok. The only complaint was the chicken fried steak. It was pretty awful– over breaded, no flavor… Skip it. The service was good and we could tell that it was a regular place for a lot of local people.(A big after– church crowd!) We are likely to come again– just not for the chicken fried steak.

Stopped here on our way from Mt Carmel Junction and it was the perfect place to stop. The breakfast was awesome. Over medium eggs were perfectly cooked. Our waitress was sweet. And they had French Vanilla creamer for our coffee!!!

The crew an I were working in Cedar City last week and ate at the Main Street Grill for breakfast. We started eating there last stay as we felt the Market Grill had gone down hill. And all of got sick after eating there, It was none stop finding the bushes in the field and well on into the evening. I could see it if 1 person got sick but all 4 of us? W e will not be going back.

Our breakfast was great. The hash browns were crunchy on the outside and soft in the middle, my over medium eggs were spot on, the gravy was homemade, the bacon cooked crispy. The food service was a bit slow but that was only because 5 large parties walked in at the exact same time. Wait staff kept our drinks filled and checked on us regularly. Most important the place was clean!

The food here is not good. The coffee is like tepid dishwater. The ingredients are low quality. My husband’s Chicken Fried Steak was horrible. The service was terrible. The has browns are ok, not great. The options for breakfast are few and far between in town. Keep driving.
