Sherwin-Williams Paint Store

BEWARE There are 2 in cedar park. this was about a mile closer, so went here. I was told that they only had gallons of the paint I needed (this after waiting 15 minutes for him to «locate «it) He told me that the next nearesty place was in round rock. a half an hour away (more if traffic) if i wanted only a quart. I didn’t believe him. Felt like he was pressuring me to buy an entire gallon for $ 40 instead of the $ 15 for a quart. Most people probably would have, but Called the other cedar park store when I got in the parking lot. «Yes, we have 7 quarts right here «. I spent the $ 25 that I saved on lunch.

Horrible service! Don’t waste your time here. There are two guys that work here… one who just sits in the back and rudely ask me «what is it that I needee»…I mean not even in a polite manner. The manager i think his nake is Jimmy. I think the reason these guys can get away with it is because most of there business is from painter contractors. They can care less about the do it yourself customer’s who look for that consultative experience. What upsets me is I don’t even think there Regional Managers care or even know. Don’t waste your time coming here. I rather spend my money going somewhere else.

Then at the counter there is not any kind of order the employees don’t know who’s first or next in line. Use the number system or something. 3 others passed me in line before I had to say something.

I hate to be mean but seriously what happened to customer service? I usually go to the Round Rock location but this one is way closer to my house. When I walked in 2 people were back in the office doing something (not sure…) I walk up to the counter because I know exactly what I need. I wait. and wait. Finally they both emerge from the office. The guy goes to talk to some older gentlemen who was clearly applying for a job. The retired life isn’t working for him so he needs something to keep him busy. How do I know this? Because instead of taking the gentlemen to the office they stood there for 5 – 10 minutes chatting. Awkward. The girl, after emerging from the office, started doing stuff (i.e. not helping customers) She was moving paint cans and stuff. She was actually doing stuff don’t get me wrong but I stood there like an idiot being ignored while one person did stuff and the other interviewed someone. Finally the girls says «someone will be right with you» maybe another 5 minutes later she finally came to help me. I gave her my very simple need (2 gallons of paint) and she got busy. Another gentlemen came from somewhere and he seemed to be the nicest of the bunch.
I gave 3 stars because I do like their color selection. IMHO Benjamin Moore is WAYYYY better but the guy I am working with for painting uses Sherwin Williams. Its good enough. But the customer service at this store reeks. If you don’t like people don’t work with them.

I’ve had better experiences. I’ve been driving a little further to the store on research blvd. I decided not to drive quite so far and ended up with an extremely dented can if paint and the explanation that it should be fine.
