1.5 rating and slipping. I took a chance this week and had bad service and a food outage. Two customers ahead of me so it looked promising. But the guy that was making the sandwiches was not happy to be there. When he got to me I made my order(very simple– Meatball toasted) As he turned to get the bread he mumbled something so I asked if there was a problem and was no everything is good then he asked me what I wanted again and promptly told me they were out of meatballs. I went to Yaghis Pizzaria for my Meatball sub fix and was very satisfied.

I’ve been here 3 times. That’s enough chances to form a solid opinion. The first two times they were out of a lot of items but didn’t inform me until I already had my bread cut. Like literally out of steak, out of meatballs. As if that’s even acceptable for a sandwich restaurant. The girl, with the name tag«Amanda» was sweet and friendly but when she called for her help, as she was making three sandwiches and had a line forming, this girl in the back yelled from the back about not being done cutting veggies. Then Amanda said«Shes so sweet isn’t she?» When she finally arrived with her charming attitude, I felt uncomfortable like I didn’t know if these two are just sarcastic and unprofessional with one another or if they really hate one another. Today, I got my sandwich made by the same girl(who’s name tag, is broken off the safety pin holding it to her hat). My first question was«are you guys out of anything?» She said no. I then started ordering my sandwiches. When a line began forming she asked Amanda(who was wiping down tables) if she could help ring up the order, then Amanda said«I’m not done wiping my tables» which made this other girl say something sarcastic under her breath. I asked for oil and vinegar on my sandwich and this chick who’s personality wreaks of distain for her job, starts pouring it on back and forth like five times! The thing was drenched in oil! Then Amanda came over and rang us up. I’m never coming back to this place. Someone needs to start managing and doing inventory. Personal issues should not be displayed to customers. making people uncomfortable as you fight about not wanting to do your job is pretty bad.

Horrible customer service. I ordered 10 sandwiches and the guy was very upset. He told me next time to call 24 hours in advance. He was rude the entire time. I will never go back to this location.

Terrible Service from Rude Employee! This Subway was attached to Walmart Supercenter on E. Whitestone. We were treated differently than white customers. This store hires people with a very bad attitude and rude manner they barely talk to you! Never have I had such bad service like this place. It was awful. I will never go back.

Typical subway food but the service is horrendous. 1 guy at counter during lunch in a Sunday. When he yelled for help, the most unfriendly girl came out. Never smiled and never said thanks. All my kids orders from her and she barked«what do you want?». Dang… I know it’s fast food but I don’t need this experience.

If I had a bad experience somewhere, I always give them a second chance because anyone can have an off day. Well this is my second visit and my last. Slow service(20 mins before I ordered), dirty tables. And unenthusiastic employees. Wish I could give a better review. Sorry.

I love Subway because it’s fast, cheap and has healthier options. Generally, I feel like it is a pretty safe option. I went to this location for the first time because it is the closest to my new house. That will be the last time at this location. My husband has also had difficulties with them as well. When I went in, there was a girl’s soccer team in front of me. I’m patient, so no worries. When it was my turn, the girl that made mine was obviously pretty flustered. Not rude but not very friendly either. I had plenty of time to check out the menu and intentionally wanted to order a $ 5 Subway Favorite because that was the deal for all of September. I ordered the turkey and ham because it was under the Favorites list and it had the $ 5 symbol next to it. When I got to the check, the guy tells me that it is $ 6.XX. I told him I thought it was $ 5 this month. He said«no.» I told him, but it has the $ 5 sign and it’s a favorite. He then told me it was only $ 5 after 5pm. I wasn’t going to argue with the man because I had a line behind me and I had already waited a while. I went to the Subway by my work the following week and got the same sandwich for $ 5… no arguments, no questions asked. Plus, they were super friendly. Looks like I will have to drive further to get better service. Grrr…

We usually eat here once a week, sometimes more. We have noticed the past couple of months a big decline in quality in comparison to other Subway locations. The bread is almost never fresh(hard and dry). Today we stopped in around 4:45 and one sandwich I ordered on white bread. There was a piece sitting out which the girl felt and decided wasn’t up to par, she then proceeded to toss back into the bakery center with the other cut pieces. I guess now we know what’s been happening with r bread ;). Also, the restaurant was very dirty today. They had three people working when we arrived with a fourth arriving just before 5. There was tons of food underneath tables, drink station was gross, tea was out and I took a quick peak behind the counter and it was pretty bad. Bread and veggies on the floor everywhere. I could possibly understand if they were busy, but two people came in the entire time we were there. We weren’t thrilled with the flavor of our food, it caused me to question how fresh it truly was. This is definitely the closest subway for, but I don’t know that we will be back here. After what we have been experiencing lately it’s becoming worrisome that the food is not being prepared properly and I don’t want to end up like the other reviewer! I should also add that I eat sometimes at a location downtown and in north Austin on 620 and they are both far better quality that this one on Whitestone.

I used to eat here quiet regularly for lunch, sometimes every day of the week, I even knew the manager and some of the staff here, and I always order roasted chicken breast with some veggies and chipotle sauce. Few weeks ago I had my regular sandwich, it taste funny, and in minutes I was sick, really sick, bad case of food poisoning. I have not gone back here since. This place has gone down hill in te last few month, all started with the manager moving to another location.
