The food was amazing. I have a picky 8 yr old. He doesn’t like meat to much. He loved the Jr. Burger. He had his burger done before rest of the family. The bacon burger was AMAZING. so much favor. My wife tried the Gyro and said it was a party in her mouth. The kids love the different flavors of free ice cream at the end.

love the atmosphere! Friendly staff, smells DELICIOUS, easy to find AND very clean! The patty itself, though, left MUCH to be desired. I would eat here every day for the delicious fresh made French fries though! Oh my goodness, they made the whole trip worth it themselves!

Finally got around to trying BurgerFeen, but don’t feel a need to go back. Ordering was easy and we received our burgers and fries quickly. The burgers looked good, but they were nothing special. Pricier than what they should be. A fair selection of sauces and toppings, but all basic Skip the mushrooms – they’re canned. The fries were good and a small fry was plenty for three to share.

Burgers were awesome! I mean REALLYAWESOME! BUT! The service was so terrible and slow, I won’t go back. To top things off, when I informed the place of my terrible experience they didn’t even reply! I did it in Facebook and could see the message was read, but I never even received acknowledgment. Ny experience was terrible from the moment I placed the order until 29 minutes later when I finally received my takeout order. Chaos and confusion and subpar service. Pretty bummed because I am a burger lover!

I’ve been here several times and the burgers are consistently excellent. You can tell the meat is fresh and high quality. I order the single with an egg and pepperjack. Never disappointed.

If you are looking for a burger and fry then this is the place. Burger was juicy and the home cut fries good. Limited menu though for anyone wanting more choices.

I live in Austin, TX so hard to find a yummy burger place. The burgers are tasty and the fries are fried in rice bran oil which is more healthy. Can’t beat it for C.R. The ice cream is really good too!

I had to write a quality standard for a hamburger for a Food Production Management class for college. I thought I would go try this place out. The inside and outside of the restaurant look nice. The inside is wood flooring and wood panel with bright red throughout. I was disappointed to see that they removed the natural spring spigot that had been there as part of a historical landmark for decades. I hate seeing history just thrown away and forgotten. This place was not what I had expected at all. The menu did not have any fancy or exotic or cool new burgers. If I were to have a burger place specializing in burgers I would make sure to put a couple of imaginative cool ones on the menu to give people something new to try. Especially with the prices they charge. I paid $ 5.34 just for a single cheeseburger and $ 2.99 for fries before tax. It took quite a while to fix then when it came to the table the bun looked shiny and greasy. I opened one side and peaked in. I did not see the tomato and went to complain then opened it all the way and saw a tiny little thin, mushy slice on top of some wilted lettuce and microscopic pickles which were piled all on one side of the burger. The fries were darker brown than any I have ever seen. Ends of some of the fries were actually BLACK. I ate some and they tasted burnt. I made deep fried french fries for the first time in a Science of Food class in college and my first time fries tasted better than these. Come ON people! You can’t charge that much for burnt crappy food! The burger was the opposite. It was barely warm and very pink in the middle. I highly doubt it was cooked to the 155 degrees required by the USDA health dept to kill dangerous microorganisms such as E.Coli. I have no idea how they got the cheese to melt on the burger when it was not that hot itself. The burger itself did have a genuine beef taste and was juicy. The bun was lightly toasted which was nice. The meal as a whole was disgusting and since I did not have time to stay and argue with a manager, I left a note and threw the rest of the meal away. I had to go home and brush my teeth and rinse my mouth with water a few times to get rid of the burnt potato taste. I will NOT go back again!!! That meal was not even palatable, let alone being worth what I paid for it. I can get a better burger at Burger King or Wendy’s. The only reason this place gets one star is that the woman who delivered the meal was nice and smiled(The woman behind the counter taking orders looked like she didn’t want to be there) and the burger had flavor and was not too greasy. So based on my quality standard I wrote, it failed on texture and appearance of the vegetables, appearance of the burger, temperature of burger and veggies. The burger itself tasted good, but overall taste was a fail because I could not taste the tomato.

Rock star burger every time. I see people complaining about price. Ya it costs more than McDonald’s or Wendy’s. So if you want cheep food go eat there. Service is always great and the food is without compare. Best burger in the area hands down. The only thing I don’t understand is the name. The one on 16th is Burger Fry and this one is Burgerfeen. Confused but full of burger greatness.

I ate in with a friend for lunch. Burger and small fries(water cup) with $ 1 tip was $ 11.61. Fries are over cooked for my taste. I like them to be potatoes, not dried out shoestring style. I had a bacon burger, I wanted it to be rare, but they can’t serve it that way as they are using commercial sourced hamburger. Burger was dripping fluid, which did coagulate on paper serving basket. The best burger place I’ve ever eaten at was Buster T Buns, which was located where the Lone star is now on first avenue. They ground their hamburger fresh in house. So for this price and quality, I will never be back. My friend had the same opinion, just didn’t align with his quality expectations.

First I’d like to agree with Scott Y’s review. He’s spot on with his descriptions of both burger and fries. If your signature dish is burgers and fries then your burgers and handcut fries need to be good. They fall down on the fries. The place is clean and I didn’t experience any of the smoky greasy smell other reviews complained of. It smelled like a typical burger restaurant to me. They either changed their kitchen vent settings, the kitchen wasn’t as busy, or I have different expectations than the other reviews. I actually think they did a really nice job with the building and are doing a good job keeping it clean. When we ate there it was about 50% full so you can get an idea of how slammed the kitchen was. My wife, daughter and me all got a variation of a bacon cheeseburger along with an order of fries. I ordered a double bacon cheeseburger(American cheese) with everything except sauteed onions. Our patties were nice and thick and done perfectly. The buns were good and the correct size. I can’t imagine comparing these burgers to Freddies. Maybe they’ve tweaked them a little since earlier reviews. It was a struggle to get the right order to the right person though. They probably should come up with some type of marking system. My wife and daughter both liked their burgers but said they were too greasy. The grease wasn’t a flavor issue but textural/eating issue. They didn’t like getting their hands so oily. I tend to agree but my favorite burger in town is the Starlite Superburger and it’s pretty greasy too. As unappealing as it is to handle a greasy burger the grease is important for flavor. I’m not 100% sure I’m sold on grinding the bacon up inside the burger but that’s just my personal preference. I’ll say this. Depending on my mood and the skill of the cook I could go either way on whether a Burgerfeen burger is better or worse than Starlite. Right now I can say they’re one and two on my «favorite burger in town» list. Now the fries… They need to fix this PERIOD. Obviously I’m not the only one to notice. None of us liked the fries. They were standard handcut fries but they were underdone and only salted. Basically one step removed from eating an overcooked, oily baked potato with salt. I make handcut fries at home all of the time and the two important things is cooking them to the same level and the seasoning. My advice to them is change the seasoning. Plain salt doesn’t cut it if you’re trying to differentiate yourself. Getting them done properly is basically just a process problem as long as you cut them consistently the same size and cook them at the same temp you can tweak that with practice. Yeah, I know there’s some other tricks to homemade handcut fries but this isn’t a tips and tricks review. One other thing to note. They don’t have beer. Probably minor to most people but the burger would have been great with a cold beer and frankly we’ll go to Starlite for a burger and beer more often than Burgerfeen for a burger and soda.

I still am waiting for a return call from the owners or manager. There were four of us dining, our first visit and our last. The place smells greasy when you enter. I ordered a double bacon burger they were nice to tell us the bacon would be in with the meat. My wife ordered a single burger. The other couple with us ordered single burgers with cheese. We also ordered a large fry for all of us. When we got our order both burgers were singles. My wife tasted hers I tasted mine, we switched… no sign of bacon mixed in the burger. The mushrooms on our burger were cold like they were cooked prior and then put on. The burgers are slightly larger than a Freddy’s burger. Very thin. They also messed up on the ingredients. We did not want mayo but got it anyway. We asked for our receipt when placing our order and were told it went out via email… interesting when they dont have our email address. The fries were not good. Many of them stuck together and arrived cold some of the worst fries I have ate in my life. The other couple also had a problem the lady had a mans beard hair in her burger it was gross. You could see the root end of the hair. She took it up for another and got a look from the bearded guy cooking the burger… you can see the kitchen as its open directly behind the counter. The manager brought out her new burger and apologized. I SUGGESTED to get a net for the cooks beard and the manager agreed. The only nice thing I can say about the place is it was new looking and it has an open fountain station so you can help yourself to refills. Will not be returning as it is pricey and the burgers are THIN. Plus the food just wasn’t that good. I am a burger enthusiasts.

This is a tough place to review, primarily because of the disparity between the two things that I ordered. If I had only tried the burger that I ordered(a single burger with pepper jack cheese, fried egg, and ketchup), this would without question be a five star review. First of all, it was the perfect thickness. It wasn’t super thin like typical fast food burgers, which just get their flavor obliterated in the cooking process. It also wasn’t too thick, like when a high-end restaurant decides to do a $ 15 burger. Those always come out cooked too much on the outside, and not enough on the inside. This burger was the perfect thickness, and was cooked perfectly, all the way through. It also had the perfect level of moisture, juicy but not greasy. The highlight, I think, was the pepper jack cheese. I don’t know for sure, because it’s difficult to be sure whether certain flavors were coming from the spices in the pepper jack, or the seasoning blend in the beef. Whatever it was, it was excellent, though. The egg was also perfect. That probably isn’t impressive to most people, but I cook eggs for myself a lot, and I’m maybe 60⁄40 on getting them right. I think that they even used a ring, because the egg was so perfectly round that I initially thought it was going to be some sort of pre-cooked frozen nonsense. The fries were an abomination, though. They managed to get them all cut to the same thickness, but they ranged in length from a half inch to longer than any potato I have ever seen. That wouldn’t bother me normally, since I’m guessing the thickness is what determines how long they take to cook.(I don’t know much about actually preparing food. If I did, I probably wouldn’t be paying someone else to make a burger and fries for me.) The problem is that the fries were not even close to evenly cooked. I took a picture, because I was so amazed. If the two fries in the picture had come from separate orders, I would say that they really needed to work on their quality control, but with both fries coming from the same basket of fries, I have no idea how you even do that. Most of the fries were a shade of brown that in my opinion means they are overcooked, but they weren’t crispy, and they were greasier than I’m used to. I think that means that the oil in the fryer wasn’t hot enough, but again I’m not an expert on cooking. I liked the way the menu was set up. Absent was the typical meal deal, dollar menu, upsizing type of nonsense. A single hamburger is $ 4.99. Other than egg or cheese, all of the toppings and spreads are free. American or Swiss cheese is an additional $ 0.50, and pepper jack is $ 0.70. Fried egg is $ 1.00, and extra patties are $ 2.00. Pretty simple. I took my food to go, but I can see what the other reviewer was saying about how you can leave with a greasy scent. I still like an open kitchen, though. It’s nice to know that your food is being prepared in a clean kitchen.

A group of four… two burgers, two cheese burgers, two small fries, two shakes, two waters… Total cost without tip was $ 42. Burgers were good, but only because of the buns. Good fires. Over priced shakes. The place is new, so very clean. The problem is the kitchen is open and you leave smelling greasy. Really bad.
