If you are a wing connoisseur, you will like Dirks. Service is friendly but it is a bit slow. Ask them to mix some of the flavors on the wings. They are perfectly fried and crispy, not rubbery. They have around 6 flavors and they are truly all delicious. Now, I have to say I have never ordered anything else except wings. I love wings and have had them at almost every other popular wing place and Dirk’s are really the best quality.

For dive bar … The BOMB!!! Staff was very friendly. The bartender was solo working so we sat on the patio and placed our order at the bar. Laid back environment good music!!! Great dive bar. Will come back for sure. Had 1 order of fish and chips and 1 order off the fried mushrooms and 1 pitcher of coors light beer. Bill was $ 27.17 and I came in after happy hour. Matthew was the bartender and patio server. WILLCOMEBACK!!! B

This place is terrible. The food was not very good, service was extremely slow. The service sums it up, the wait staff would rather socialize with each other than serve the tables. I ordered a burger and after 30 mins I had to get up, find the waitress and have her go check on the status. Over Priced for what you get

Ok I went back, a couple of times actually. Of the last 3 times, 3 have been«Why the F*&# do I come here?» experiences. I went with my roommate who is a regular — mind you, he doesn’t drive so the walking distance thing cuts down on options, and, I’m guessing, perspective. Everytime I’ve been stunned at how little care is put into taking care of customers. order food, it takes forever. I can’t blame the kitchen, only the staff who haven’t wandered back in twenty minutes to see if the food is ready. on a sleepy sunday morning the Broncos weren’t playing i went to catch the Green Bay game, along with maybe 7 other people in the entire bar. 45 minutes after ordering I got my once-hot breakfast burrito and and very«I don’t care about you» offer to refill my drink. All I can say is if you have no other options, this might be a place to go, but otherwise — screw this joint.

This is a great place to watch sporting or PPV events. Service was quick and the typical bar food menu gets the job done. It’s a comfortable neighborhood sports bar with lots of televisions and a few pool tables. I had a good time and recommend it to anyone looking for a cool place to meet friends or just hang out.

Love this place, before the switched over, now it is just alright. Wings are great and so is the service but still the heart is missing. It is just blahhhhhh

Wow that’s a bunch of screens! How a sports bar should be! On a weekday afternoon there were plenty of mainstream and off brand sports playing: sportscenter, baseball, soccer, snowboarding… Lindsay was great working the bar and handling us at the table. The brisket & cheddar sandwich was great as was everything there!

The old GnR song says it well — I used to love her but I had to kill her. The new mgmt has really driven new, horrible practices into a pseudo-sports dive that needed to get its act together. Hopelessly slow to get service even if you try to sit at the bar at lunchtime. Beer from the tap is sometimes warm, which is awesome. Cheap or not, which Dirks isn’t, I’d rather pay more for a beer in a place that is clean and has an actual waitstaff. This place needs Restaurant: Impossible or something. It baffles me that this place is still open. Needs complete overhaul.

What to say, well Dirk’s used to be OK, maybe a 2, but they’ve since decided to suck it, make FAIL cake, whatever you want to call it. Went there for lunch today with friends from work. We arrived after the first group and they were still waiting to order(though they did have their drinks). We waited I think at least another 15 – 20 minutes before we got to order. Some of the group commented the same thing happened yesterday. I’m not necessarily going to blame the waitress for this — she was the only person waiting at lunch, and she said that is normal. So, we finally get the food. I had the french dip. At Dirk’s I think it is named after getting your head dunked in the toilet in France or something. I don’t know, but it was dry as could be. Well, no problem, it is french dip, it has au jus to dip it in right? Whoa!, damn, you could let that sit in the sun for a day and have a nice salt lick for luring deer in with. I’ll admit the fries were OK(not great, but OK). So, I’m done right? Well, not yet. I give her a little lee-way on this because someone asked for individual bills for a group of seven, but anyway, I got a diet coke added to my order(and no, i don’t drink caffeine, and i don’t order diet anything, I need the extra calories). Everything was such a FAIL that I just decided to give up. I hope she took off the diet coke and kept it as extra tip rather than letting it go into the company coffer. So, that is it. Dirk’s is on the list.

Dirk’s was better before the new management/ownership that occurred in 2010. It’s a fine little place for a neighborhood bar and grill though. Having said all that, their food isn’t great and they don’t have many good drink specials anymore. Compared to most neighborhood grills they are below average now I would say. Also, if you order the happy hour appetizers then tell the waiter/waitress that you want the happy hour order or else they will be sneaky and get you the full order at full charge. We just learned this the hard way a couple weeks ago. Very sneaky and the waitress wouldn’t do anything to correct it.

I’ve had better pizza from a microwave. Cheap beer only goes so far.

The best thing about Dirk’s was the happy hour I mentioned in my previous review. They recently did a slight remodel by improving their booths and some décor. I actually didn’t notice much, but my wife pointed it out to me. However during their remodel, they also«remodeled» their menu and eliminated the great happy hour. Now their happy hour includes smaller portion cheap appetizers, not exactly a great deal. Dirk’s still has the great outdoor deck which is nice for a summer afternoon, but taking away the happy hour makes me less likely to make a point to go enjoy it.

I’m not going to lie. I felt a bit uncomfortable here. I can get along w/anyone, but this just isn’t my type of place. It seemed to be a bit of a locals, dark bar and a bad sports bar at that. Its only saving grace is they do serve alcohol and all kinds of different alcohol.

Dirks is a neighborhood bar. The mixed reviews are understandable. Nothing fancy at dirks. The Friday buffet is always good, and interesting. Stuff like corned beef, mini corn dogs, pizza, burgers, tortilla casserole are just the starts. Not a big buffet, but always different. The Happy Hour beers are a good price, the wait staff is good, some better than others, but fine. The place can be a little loud, and I here it can get a little rowdy late at night. That all said my friends and I go there 2 – 3 Fridays a month.

I moved out of CO5 years ago but make sure to go to Dirks when I’m back for a visit. No, it’s not a good bar, the crowd is odd, and I’m sure to run into someone from high school(rarely a good thing), but it’s Dirks. I can walk here from where I’m usually staying and be sure to have yummy wings(the hot isn’t hot, don’t be afraid!), cheap beer, and a good game of BuckHunter. Dirks isn’t trying to be anything its not, and that’s why I will always love it :)

my vote for the worst sports bar in the denver metro area. warm beer from taps(check), shitty overpriced food(check), unattractive, slow barstaff(check), and the coup de grace, smallest tv’s ive seen in a sports bar period. the only reason it exists is because all the housewives in the ranch will actually believe their husbands when they say«only going to dirk’s for a beer» as even the most white bread GOP toting suburbanite won’t spend too much time there. buffalo wild wings has better atmosphere.

Besides the fact that they do have dos xx bottles for $ 1.75, and some other good drink specials from time to time… I am sorry but I dont know why I continuously come back here. The last time we went there the server was too busy socializing with all the regulars(Who all went to my high school and werent my favorites of people then, or now… although it is funny to see how they have all gone downhill!) to even remember that we ordered another round 20 minutes before… And the time before that the server kept bringing us more rounds without even asking like we had some signs on our forehead that said«Keep em coming!» And she wouldnt just set them down nicely either, she would SLAM them down and mean mug us all night. Seriously. WTF. But after all my bitching, its still my occasional hangout with some of my friends. The only cheaper dos xx I have found is buying it from the liquor store and I love me some dos xx!

It’s beer. It’s the suburbs. It’s Dirk’s. I’ve never seen a clean table at Dirk’s…so if you’re there for a meal, you might find a bonus morsel on your table! I think the only reason this place stays open is due to the lack of bars in the area. There are a lot of homes with drinking clientele here… they need SOME place to booze. I’ve gone several times for that reason alone. «Hey, let’s go out and get some beers». «Yeah, but there’s not much around here». «Eh…there’s always Dirk’s». So it’s just your typical sports bar, like Daniel A suggests. My biggest knock on Dirk’s is the frequency of frickin’ karaōke there. Everytime I’ve gone there, it seems they break out the karaōke. Even when it’s NOT karaōke night. One night, they had a live DJ, but the weenie broke with the songs and went into his own private karaōke performance of the hip-hop tune«Let me Clear my Throat». There are supposedly seven layers of Hell… and I’m convinced that level three involves drinking Coors Light at a suburban bar while some dorky kid tries to «rap».

I can’t hate on it too much, it’s your standard sports bar around the corner from the house. When the pros are that you can walk to it from your house and the cons are, well, the service, the clientele and the atmosphere, what are you gonna do. Meg is correct, the food left out for happy hour is a little… well just don’t. But I don’t think that the meatheads corralled there care, so chow down if you’re poor. The food you order isn’t bad at all, but things could be cleaner… it is a sports bar complete with trivia, whatya want in life? Jeeze. Occasionally they have live music… Think Blueshammer from the movie Ghost World. Still, again, I can’t complain too much, I’ve eaten there, drank there and stumbled home from there more than a few times and I’ve never had a time I just hated, so that’s life in the big, er small city.

Like Dirt? The servers are dim-witted, slow, and often, rude. The food is high calorie, and omg… DO.NOT.TOUCH.THE.FREEFOOD.AT.HAPPY.HOUR. I can’t vouch for the free food because I haven’t touched it, but it looks like it’s been sitting out too long. I have to go here sometimes cause there’s booze and it’s close to work, but I always check my beer for chicken wings or lipstick on the glass. I suggest you do the same.
