Can I drink legally? Nope. Dose that stop me from coming here on a Friday night? Not at all. The servers know your name, the food is good. Games are always on and the place is open super late. If you go on a Friday night look for«Long Hair Guy», we’ve made this into a game and given him quite the back ground story.

AWFUL service. Decent food. Again though, the service is horrible. It’s almost as if the wait staff intentionally ignores you.

It’s a big shitty room with a bar, but I kinda just like it. Ms. PacMan is a nice touch:

Well Unilocal, you let me down again. From the reviews, I thought this place was a nostalgic arcade with a hip dive bar. Couldn’t be far from it. One row of old crappy games and a washed up bartender who served me luke warm beer sums up my trip here. I almost ordered the over priced pizza until I saw the staff that was cooking it. If you are not a regular, stay away from this place. Ownership, please hire new bartenders. My guess is you are the ownership since no one on earth would hire this terrible staff

Great Pizza if you like thin crust. Nothing wrong with what these guys are doing and when they are slow, the kitchen is always being cleaned, a good sign from a restaurant for sure.

We meant to go in here months before we actually did. Now I wish I had! The outside is a bit deceptive — looks like any neighborhood bar. But inside, it is part bar, part awesome restaurant, and part 80’s game arcade. It turns out to be a very family friendly environment with good food and a great atmosphere! The Baked Potato Nachos are heavenly. I think they surpass any potato skin I’ve ever had and I crave them now. The pizza and calzones are great too and the prices and service are better than you’d expect. All in all? A hidden gem!

Donkey Kong pizza. Video games. FAMILYFRIENDLY. I loved it and so did my boys. It was the perfect couple hour get away. The people working loved being there and you could tell.

Small local bar with great beer selection and prices with old school arcade games? Yes please! Only reason I am giving 3 stars is because the food wasn’t that great. Ordered a calzone and the inside was still cold. To their credit they fixed it quickly, but I’m not a fan of previously frozen or cooked items.

We were in the neighborhood recently and wanted to sit down somewhere for lunch so that we could chat about some stuff. I admit when we came in the door I was a little concerned. It looked like just a bar(and a dead one at 1pm on a Monday). But once you go in thru the entrance you can really see there’s a bunch of seating on the left(booths and tables). There’s also the bar and some games off to the right. I’ll have to be back to try the arcade games. We sat down and the bartender came over immediately with menus and took our drink orders. I ordered a burger and it came out really quick and was quite excellent. And cheap. I think the base burger price is only $ 7. I thought they were a little skimpy on the fries, but it was good for lunch and they were very crispy and yummy. I think we’ll be back, and will definitely have to partake on more liquid beverages next time!

This place is my kind of joint. Low key, laid back with good food and decent prices. We popped in here on a random weekday trying to find a quite place to have a meeting and it worked perfectly. There were a few people bellied up to the bar and then just us eating. I had what was essentially a French dip(Centennial) with fries that I found really flavorful and hearty. The hubby did your standard bacon burger and really liked that too! Obviously the drawl is the cheap booze and pizza — which is why I have to come back :) Really cool, semi-divey neighborhood joint.

We were having lunch across the street and kept gawking over their sign offering canned beer and games. Sold! The inside is quite dark but there are tons of arcade games that line the walls. We grabbed seats at the bar and were treated to exceptional service. We just came in for drinks and their beer was nice and cold and dirt cheap. We had a great view of the kitchen and got to watch them prep for that evening. Everything that came out looked delicious and I feel we need to return just to try the pizza. It looked thin and delicious. While we were just in for a quick visit, we had a great time and wouldn’t hesitate to return!

I love the pizza, wings and beer. The service is great as well. We go there 1 to 2 times a month and they always remember us! The Pizza is a must!

Our friend warned us that this is a «dive» bar. We ain’t afraid. We like dives! This really isn’t a dive. It is a great neighborhood gem, very clean and comfortable. The service is outstanding. We wanted for nothing. There are great drink specials — $ 2 domestic beers, and $ 4 for Tito’s and whatever else you want to mix with it. We each had a pizza. I had the Warrior, with no cheese, and our server was savvy enough to ask about my dietary preferences. He said there was parm cheese sprinkled on the crust, and he would make sure they left it off for me. He’s forever in my good graces. My husband had the Link — full of meat. The crust is okay; I could see them making it in the back so I can attest it is fresh! The toppings are decent as well. Later on, we ordered the smoked wings with buffalo sauce. They were cooked just right and had a great flavor. Super fun place to watch the games, chat with friends(the music is not too loud), and grab some bar food. I might also mention, being the incurable 80’s girl, that there are 80’s arcade games, and much of the menu features references to my fave 80’s video games. Check it out!

This place turned out to be a lot more than I expected. I expected typical, run down dive bar trying to be unique by housing a few video games thus appealing to the frat boy type. Well, I was right about the ultra young crowd– barely 21 and up, but I was pleasantly surprised by the 30s+ crowd, and the family in the«restaurant» side. Lots of seating at tables, high top tables, and bar. And of course, the pool tables and video games throughout the place– which was much bigger than I expected too! More than that, I was very surprised and impressed with the beer selection and service. They had some great choices on tap, and I’m always a sucker for Milk Stout! But more than anything else there were some incredible servers here! A refill was promptly offered as my first beer approached empty, then as my second beer was looking almost gone I was approached by THREE different servers offering me a refill! Not only did our actual waitress/server make the offer, but two other server guys walking by noticed my empty and pleasantly stopped to offer another beer. They were so unobtrusive and nice about it, I really couldn’t believe it! And our waters were never empty either! I will likely be back here, just because I was so impressed with the service that didn’t mind 3 women taking their time to gab over a couple beers. The atmosphere was energetic but not too loud, making for a great place to grab a beer and chat.

Want to see an old dude completely drunk by 6:00PM? Head on over to the Varsity Inn! This place is pretty much what you’d expect from a stripmall bar in the ‘burbs. No frills, no pretension, just some beer on tap and a few games to play if you’re in the mood. There is a large Jinga game outside on the patio which is pretty cool and 2 pool tables inside that I think are only $ 1 to play. But the real fun comes from the row of old arcade games! Frogger, Ms. Pac Man, Ikari Warriors!!, Q-bert, and a slew of others. If you’re on your game you can have a great time for only a quarter. Hubs and I were not so hot. However, if we’re feeling nostalgic and want to slum it for a few hours, we may just find ourselves back at the Varsity Inn.

The Pizza is decent, although twice now Ive asked to add bacon to my pizza to no avail. I wish they still had the old Dirks menu. Centennial doesn’t need another pizza place. The atmosphere is nice, clean, but the SERVICESUCKS! Last night we order some food and pitchers and it took over an hour to get our food. When looking for any of the waitresses that were«helping us» they were behind the bars pouring drinks because they only had ONE bartender working on a FRIDAY night. They weren’t that busy on the floor, but the bar was. This place needs to hire more people. If they would step up their service, I’d give them more stars.

If you are tired of the hipster crowd at Southglen, head south on University to Dry Creek, look for the building that looks like it used to be a Shakeys Pizza and pull up a stool at the Varsity. I’ve been a few times now and have met some really genuine people there. The staff are friendly(remembered my name on my second visit), the food is very good and the beer is cold. This place is what the English would refer to as their«local». A place to have a pint and get in a spirited conversation about most anything from sports to science with people from the neighborhood and elsewhere. Last week, I had an hour long conversation with a biker about economic reform and followed that up discussing rap lyrics with a 40-ish librarian and a pipe fitter. I’m glad I found this place.

A new place that just opened up where an old haunt of mine used to be. It boasts your standard pizza/beer/sports bar atmosphere. I came here to grab a quick lunch by myself. I ordered a sandwich, dubbed the Centennial. It was truly nothing special, roast beef with too few pepperoncinis and a basic bland roll. They have house made potato chips that were also very bland. Canned beer is advertised, why this is such a trend I don’t know, but they had a decent tap selection, including 1554 which I don’t see that often these days. It’s a decent spot to watch a game, and I’d be willing to try the pizza here, but there’s nothing so far to bring me back in a hurry.

They took a bar with a decent variety on the menu and brought us yet another pizza place in Littleton. Went here Friday looking for some great snacks(like Dirk’s old Green Chili Tater Tots) and found that I could get chips for $ 4 or pizza. No thanks. Won’t be coming back.
