Johnny’s Burgers

I gave it another try against my better judgment and guess what! My original review stands correct! No flavor cheeseburger and oily fries same old same old. Why can’t this place make a decent burger?

Friendly atmosphere featuring music from the 50’s and 60’s. Good burgers, fries, and shakes! Still working on trying all the sides.

Eh. It wasn’t that good. The buns are Martin’s potato rolls. not toasted. I got a grilled chicken sandwich. It was basic. not seasoned. The wings were tasty. however it said it came with celery. and all it came with was one tiny piece of celery. The fries were good, but unevenly cooked. Some pieces were crispy, some crunchy, some limp, ect.

Awesome and cheap burgers! A bit on the greasy side, but the price point makes this a good deal. Just a little juicy and you can choose from a multitude of toppings such as hot sauce or peppers, something not many other little shops can boast. Best thing on the menu might be the fries, though, as they were on the «just right» portion of the crispiness spectrum.

Privately owned mom and pop 1950s themed restaurant. Your food is made to order freshly, right there as you wait. Great burgers with lots of toppings to choose from. French fries are so good! Nicely cut, crispy, and perfectly salted. Hot dog was OK. Prices are decent, atmosphere is retro with 1950s music playing. Menu has burgers, hot dogs, chicken, desserts, milkshakes, etc. All your old time favorites. I’m glad they’re around and hope they stay around for a long time. Thank you!

My husband and I bought a Groupon this weekend for Johnny’s Burgers on a whim. It was pretty delicious and very reasonable prices. It’s very quaint inside and the ambiance is casual. Friendly service!

Hot sauce is nice depends on how much u want grilled chicken sandwich is great cooked to perfection also there’s a free give away on belly cards for free item when u have enough points avaliable u start with 20 points at first so this place really earned five stars.

It’s been a while since I’ve been here because it is a little out of the way. We were visiting my mother in law today so we decided to get a little to go on the way home. I have to say… GREAT!!! The burger quality was very good and a good size. The fries also were very good and a good size. To summarize the taste was excellent, prices were better than their competitors. My only criticism which is very minor is that the fries needed a little salt. Otherwise I would highly recommend Johnny’s. Good job guys

Went here a while back and food was so good. went there today food has gone downhill. Service with a smile… no…French fries burnt at 1^st service returned to get new ones that appeared ok but half the burnt ones still underneath… no seasoning on burger… very disappointed

It’s more of a 3.5 star for me. Always wanted to try the place since moving out here. Found the perfect excuse with a Groupon. I ordered a double cheeseburger, small shake and fries. The burger was okay to me. I like my food right off the grill, piping hot. I expected to have a similar, perhaps better, experience compared to 5 guys. Unfortunately, that didn’t happen, I much prefer five guys hands down. The taste of the Burger reminded me of burger king, but better.
With that said, the chocolate milkshake here is on point!

This place isn’t bad at all. It reminds me of Joes Sirloin burgers in Bohemia. Nothing gourmet, but exactly what you would expect. Burger was good. Fries were pretty good and they had Bosco Soda (+1).
Staff was friendly and checked with guests how they liked the food.
I may not be a regular, but I will be back from time to time.

Ate here for lunch today and the food has pretty much been consistently good but today it seemed a little better.
The fries were freshly fried: piping hot and crispy and oh so good.
My cheeseburger looked appetizing, not squashed down even with all my free toppings on there, and tasted just as good. The beef was cooked right and I love potato bread so this is a plus for me.
I’ve been here a few times and it’s been a different cashier every time but all of them have always been kind in greeting you when you walk in and when you walk out. I’ve even had a few of them ask how the food is when they’re cleaning tables.
Good food and good experience certainly holds true here.

After driving past here for a long time I finally found my way in. Funny, the place always caught my eye but I had never ventured in. Needless to say I finally did yesterday and I wish I had earlier!
The décor is great, it has the retro 50’s style look with the signs on the wall, tables, chairs and the overall color in that theme. What also adds to the theme is the music playing is also all from that era.
I had a basic burger and French fries which I found to be very good. Superior to 5 guys in my opinion. Came with others and used the groupon coupon which ended up saving us a good amount of money!
Definitely worth checking out!

Every time I come here it’s good eats. Beats the fast food chains. Real beef, actual potato fries, and fresh toppings. Can’t beat that! When you want a burger and a grill is out of your reach/​just lazy. When you don’t want to give yourself indigestion from all the crap they put in the fast food chain burgers and fries. When you want a nice person to serve you your order.
That’s when you come here. The atmosphere is pleasant and the music keeps you in a good mood. Staff is courteous. Several other options to eat but love those burgers the best.
Check groupon! Seriously good deals.

Went in not really expecting much but was surprised upon walking in. I appreciated the décor (which seems to be everybody’s favorite thing about the place, aside from the food) but the food was overall decent. I ordered a double cheese burger with bacon and an egg (nice touch) with BBQ. Burger was an average burger well done which I do not have a problem with, but a choice would’ve been a nice touch. The fries were very nicely seasoned, and the amount was very generous, not bad on price either. To o along with my Americanized meal I went with a classic chocolate shake, which to me was about the same quality of Burger King’s (which I actually do enjoy, BTW) so overall was very tasteful.
I will recommend this place if you’re in the mood for a nice soothing blast from the past to go along with your meal and a friendly atmosphere. They also deliver which is pretty sweet

What a nice surprise for another restaurant /​chain that sells burgers. Very friendly staff with great customized burgers with your choice of toppings. .I got the double cheeseburger with american cheese, tomatoes, lettuce, and sautéed mushrooms which are $ 0.50 extra plus a small order of fresh cut fries (shareable for two), a drink and a small vanilla shake. This facility uses 100% black angus beef. It has a nostalgic feeling of the happy days era. Good old American fast food. I would say it’s up with the best compared to Five Guys, In and Out, Johnny Rockets, Zinburger, Burgerfi. The only difference is that this is a one location local burger place that is not a corporate, nor franchises.

This is my new favorite place to get a no-​fuss burger. In fact, Johnny’s burger is most definitely in my top 5 burgers OF ALL TIME. I think it might have edged out my beloved Burger Joint in Le Parker Meridien. It pains me a little bit to think of that, but it’s true.
To understand what Johnny’s Burgers is like, first think of Five Guys. Now think about how Five Guys would be if it were 1000x better. Now, I know you’re saying, «but Five Guys is so great! They use fresh foods and they put all these toppings on my burgers for free and I love those peanuts while I wait.» Yeah, yeah that’s great and all, and Johnny’s doesn’t have the peanut barrels, but beyond that, it’s the most major upgrade ever.
Boyfriend described his burger as perfect, because it was tasty and juicy and rich but without being greasy and drippy and messy. And that’s exactly right. There was so much flavor, but without the grease so that the bun and the toppings all stayed in shape and the burger didn’t fall apart. He went for the burger of the day — horseradish mayo, fried pickles, bacon, cheese — which looked very nicely put together. I went for a build your own — cheese, mayo, pickles (what can I say, I’m kind of boring and predictable sometimes) — and that looked a little more like your typical Five Guys-​esque burger. 1000x more delicious, though.
The fries were good, too. Very crispy.
The only part of the meal that really needed improvement was the shake. I ordered a vanilla milkshake that needed more shake… it had a bunch of crunchy ice bits in it. It was still pretty good, though.
Also… the soda machine has chocolate soda which was a weird taste experience.

This is a great mom and pop place with friendly staff and good food.
The burgers here are relatively inexpensive, about $ 4 each, and come with your choice of toppings free. They are not great but they have a good amount of flavor and they hit the spot.
The wings are prepared well and topped with Sweet Baby Ray’s wing sauce. They have good flavor, but I wish Johnny’s would use their own sauce instead of Baby Ray’s.
The shakes are pretty good and well worth having and they come in a variety of different flavors, including peanut butter, which is my favorite.
The best item on the menu that I got was the fries. Perfectly crisp and delicious Idaho cut potatos. They were some of the best fries I’ve ever had.
