Just came in for ice cream which is always fantastic. I usually build my own sundae or cone but this time I went with the classic Reeses Peanut Butter Cup Sundae. MMM as tasty as it was, it could’ve used more peanut butter sauce.
It’s too bad that a lot of Friendly’s establishments closed, because I’ve never had bad service at any location. The food is always tasty… for something so simple, you can’t really go wrong.

Store 7620. Service awful. waited 45 minutes for a hamburger waited 30 min for a child’s scoop of ice cream
Repeatedly had to request napkins. Given no cutlery dirty dishes kept piling up on table couldn’t get a glass of water even though we asked so many time. Then to top it off they ran out of flavors of ice cream even though listed on menu. At one pint a little boy went into kitchen and yelled w” when can I get my ice cream? «turned a fun evening out with family into an exhausting frustrating experience.

PROS: Service was good, nice young man, attentive and pleasant. Had the Buffalo Chicken Strips Appetizer, good!
CONS: We ordered the Turkey BLT. Awful, like bad hospital or airline food. The sourdough bread was soggy, poor quality, the turkey and bacon was minimal in portion. The mashed potatoes were absolutely awful, tiny portion and my impression was that it was pre-made and came in a, pouch that was microwaved prior to serving. Poor value for your dollar.
SUMMATION: with tip bill came to $ 40 for two Turkey BLT sandwiches, one buffalo chicken strip appetizer and one diet coke. I will not be returning to FRIENDLY’S in this lifetime, real slop and the menu looks like a menu from the 1950’s before people were as nutritionally health conscious as they are today, fried crap slathered in cheese and mayonnaise, are they kidding me!

Ok I know it is friendly’s but the young lady at the hostess counter warmly greeted us and sat us immediately in a snow storm. We were given piping hot coffee and our orders were taken for the (3) of us asap. Soup was served up hot with (2) crackers, coffee hot and fresh, super melts were crisp and hot, and the apple chicken salad with dressing on the side was good. I also had one of us obtain an ice cream for dessert –That person was happy and smiling. Glad to hear Friendly’s is opening more stores again on Long Island because its an old time Long Island favorite for the young and the old.

Something should really be brought to corporates attention. The place has very good food and the people are very nice, but they are extremely understaffed. There were tons of tables open and 3 other groups and I were waiting longer than 10 minutes when there shouldn’t of been waiting at all because there was no one at the front desk, and the waitresses were going and sitting people. I believe I saw what was the manager acting as a bus boy, and than it took over 20 minutes to get our ice cream for dessert, which I don’t mind but really how long does it take to slap two scoops of ice cream in a cup. It was my first time in a long time going to friendlys but I probably won’t be going back anytime soon just because. But just saying theres a reason restaurants have certain roles, and they’re all really vital.

Haven’t been here in a while but I’ve always enjoyed friendly’s especially their ice cream. I wish I could get the kids meal as an adult and I would be there much more.

Although I love the food at friendlys, I was very disappointed today. I ordered a to go order and was told it would be ready in 10 – 15 minutes. Upon arriving it took 5 – 7 minutes for someone to even acknowledge the fact that I was there. After saying I was picking up an order I stood there for an additional 25 minutes waiting for my food to come out. When it finally came out they forgot one of my sandwiches. My food was cold and they didn’t give me any of the dipping sauces that should have come with my munchie mania appetizer. I was very disappointed with the service I received. I hope my next experience is better.

This place is a must, guys gotta go to this joint after 8, They’re open pretty late and their apps are half off. I paid like 15 bucks including tip for 3 apps (cheese sticks, quesadilla, and loaded waffle fries). I mean the quality of the food isnt the best obviously but for the price its definitely worth it. The main reason its not great is that you can taste that it was just heated up and not freshly made. I know im pointing out the obvious but there really isnt much bad about it. Servers are very kind and professional. THE TABLES and MENUS are always greasy and slippery, really bothers me about this place. Still overall i enjoy coming here for late night snacks.

I have been going here for over thirty years and the food quality has stayed good although there was a dip in quality in the mid nineties.
I went today for a one scoop cone and even though it says «one» scoop, the server actually dipped the scoop into the ice cream three times! This is a good deal!

This is my hometown Friendly’s. I come here for free 2×2×2 on Veterans Day.

*Over the past twenty years, I’ve taken my kids here for lunch after the movies
*We always come here in the summer for an ice cream cone at the window
*I’ve purchased many kids birthday cakes as well as the summer «wattamelon roll»
*I’m a Patty Melt guy!
On Friday/Saturday nights it can get crazy crowded. I still get choked up when I see a dad and his babies eating here. Like a blink of an eye it all changes and they grow up.
My hometown Friendly’s that my kids grew up coming here from babies to teenagers.

After living here for a year and I finally tried this place out. They do not have a Friendly’s in the west coast (CALI). I think this place is another denny’s and what do I feel about denny’s? I dislike Denny’s, but if I had to choose between these two places I would definitely choose…
well I can’t decide haha.
On the other hand I prob choose Friendly’s because of their deals and because at Denny’s, I never know what to get and whatever I get it is a great disappointment. I always regret eating it afterwards.
With Friendly’s, there food was decent and the price was do-able.

Always a good place to go after the movies with friends. & i really want to try their «eat great after 8» deal.
BUT one time I came here many years ago while I was in high school and I went to sit in the booth the hostess showed us to and the booth collapsed right beneath me and it was incredibly embarrasing and people laughed at me D: The booth was literally falling apart. & this place always seems a little bit dirty.
Whatever I’ll still come back for their chicken fingers and ice cream.

i cant think of a better place for families! my kids are between 3 and 11 and they all love it here. kids meals have fantastic variety and a pick and choose menu for kids is brilliant. very good price, i think its about $ 5 a kid. for the adults, its not really about the adults when you go to a place like this but they have a great assortment of entrees. the crispy chicken wrap is awesome with seasoned waffle fries. the ice cream is pretty good too. we have even used friendly’s for birthday parties of 20 kids and the staff is extremely accommodating.

Was here this past weekend when visiting family on Long Island. The only reason I still want to go to a Friendly’s can be summed up in one word.
FRIBBLE
Yes, I still love having a strawberry Fribble. It’s not ice cream. Its not a shake. It is the yummy bastard stepchild of both. Like a crazy frozen strawberry Nestle’s Quick type of shake. I can drink gallons of this stuff.
Overall, it is the same as most locations of this chain. Clean décor, nice service, and decent diner type food. Nothing fabulous, but their ice cream is still great. Lots of flavors to choose from. I still think I can eat one of those giant family sundaes by myself!

Friendly’s is a great place for family/friends. Like most diners, they have booths which were pretty comfortable.
When I went with my boyfriend, they had a lunch special. We picked a meal (that came with fries) and a sundae (choose 2 scoops of ice cream & one topping) for $ 10 each. I chose their Chicken Parmesan sandwich. It was so good!
Our waitress was sweet and made sure everything was okay throughout our meal.
They have a back room with extra seating and an ice cream parlor in the front. A totally comfortable atmosphere.

Friendly’s is Friendly’s. Go for ice cream. This one is a bit nicer than most, last I went, but the food is still an average Friendly’s experience.

I used to LOVE Friendly’s! I live in TX now and they do not have any. We used to go there all the time. The ice cream is delicious! I used to like their grilled chicken dishes too and their salads. I know it isn’t top of the line food but it was always good. My mom and I would always go there and then we would be disappointed because we forgot how many families with kids went there. lol.

Being a chain store, I can only really comment on several things.
Service — of the three times i went here the past 3 years the service has been very courteous. The young men and women that work there are very civilized.
Setting — decent setting, personal booths. Can get packed on weekends, as senior citizens pack it up early. Many many kids too. Don’t expect quiet all the time.
Ice Cream — one of the best chain ice creams there is. Finish your meal with ice cream.
